I'd definitely go back to try other things. 2-9-2025

First off- they without a doubt, hands down, have the best rainbow cookies ever. They are the measuring stick I use to gauge all others, and I've yet to find a comparable match, or one that approaches. I stopped by this afternoon to grab a couple pounds, and the quality, taste, price were just how they were when I last had them...exceptional. While the rainbow cookies are certainly amazing, Patsy's is no one trick pony. They have a huge selection of tasty cookies, cakes, pastries, cannoli, fresh bread, Italian ice, and a host of other treats. The ambiance can best be described as that place where you go and instantly feel comfortable....you feel at home, like a regular- even on your first trip. Go on a Tuesday and it feels like a Sunday morning when everyone is going in early to grab bread for the evening's dinner. It's that place, and it's perfect. The service at Patsy's is impeccable. I was there at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and there were at least 4-5 workers behind the counter masterfully taking orders, boxing and wrapping goodies, and ensuring all customers needs were met quickly with minimal waiting. Whether you're local to Lindenhurst or Long Island, or from far away and just in the mood for a great bakery (and rainbow cookie!) experience...you have to give Patsy's a try. You won't be disappointed!

The pies, just added, are absolutely worth it. I'm used to getting Mrs. Smith's frozen pies, and always loved the Very Berry Pie. Never. Again. The Senora Pastries berry pie left poor Mrs. Smith in the dust. Yeah, it costs more. And there's a reason - it's worth it. One more thing. My wife order the gluten free chocolate chip and ultimate fudge (she's actually diagnosed gluten intolerant). I "sampled" some, just to make sure they were safe. If it didn't actually say "gluten free" on the box, I wouldn't have guessed. I've tried a LOT of gluten free stuff, and honestly, a lot of it isn't that good. If you've been eating gluten free, you've GOT to try this. Thank me later.

I got the feeling that this was something that I must absolutely try so I took my son who is an empanada fan and hit the road. We got there at the end of the day and luckily there was 1 veg empanada left so it was meant to be! I got the vegetable one and he got beef. We also got a little container of green sauce. We looked around and I saw the most beautiful cupcakes so I had to buy a few. I was also interested in the almond danish but I decided to save that for another day. We polished off the empanadas very quickly. I have to say that they were the best empanadas I've ever had. They are not even comparable to any other empanadas I've ever tried. I'm not an expert on this subject but I know awesomeness from mediocrity and these were awesome. Yes empanadas from a bakery get an A+++. The outside was light and flaky and the filling was very flavorful and juicy. As far as the cupcakes, also an A+++. Besides being beautiful with the decorations and edible glitter they were very delicious. I tasted a piece of the carrot cake one and the one with the Oreo on top, both were moist inside and had the perfect amount of frosting. I did not taste the vanilla or the funfetti one but my kids said that they were the best they've ever tried. We've had plenty of cupcakes from bakeries in our lifetime and most were looking pretty but fell flat in the flavor department. These exceeded expectations in both area. The cake I purchased for her birthday from another local bakery last year was really dry, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short. It tasted like pure unsalted butter and had almost no sweetness to it, so we ended up just eating the cake center and leaving the frosting. Unfortunate for an expensive cake but based on the other reviews I'm wondering if it was just a one time error.
