I have never had one before, and it was absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious. It was a pillowy light sugar cookie with the dolce Leche caramel in between and dusted with fine white powdered sugar. When this place first opened. It was top notch. Their coffee cake was fluffy and delicious but they don't make it anymore. Their sugar-free turnovers were exceptionally good, but they don't make them anymore. It seems that whenever they make something that's really good, they discontinue it...and their prices are a bit high. read more

****UPDATE**** The bakery just called me and threatened me that they are going to check their cameras and show me that they put the filling in. I told her that I do not want to deal with the bakery anymore since she yelled at me and called me a liar. She told me I have your name and number in a very threatening way and then she then hung up on me again. I tried calling back to explain to her to not bother since it wouldn't resolve anything and that I just was not going back. She answered my call and hung up twice. Please stay away from this place. Apologies in advance for how long this negative review is. I went to the bakery a couple of weeks ago to order a cake. I had first tried their tres leches cake at a birthday party and thought it was delicious and decided to get one for my mom's birthday. The lady at the counter was really friendly and explained to me that a small cake cost around $60 and it's for 7 people. I thought the price was a bit high but decided to get it anyways because it was worth it. I told her what I wanted her to write on the cake and had even double checked the spelling. I had also requested instead of a the custard and caramel filling we wanted strawberry and pineapple. Cut to the day of pick up. I had planned a surprise party for my mom so I had everyone getting things and we were setting up decorations. My husband went to pick up the cake around 12. The party was running a bit behind so we didn't end up cutting her cake until 6. I made the mistake of the checking it before cutting. They had spelt her name wrong after we had double checked to make sure she had written it correctly on the paper for the order. But I thought it's okay. Mistakes happen. Then we cut the cake and realize there is no pineapple and strawberries. She had made the cake with custard and caramel. I call the bakery the next day (it was closed by 6) and I tell them what happened. The response I get "I asked your husband if everything looked good and he said yes. Once a cake leaves the bakery I am no longer responsible for it" I told her that she had it written down. My mom had a Spanish name and my husband is American and does not know how to spell it exactly but I told her fine. I guess it was my mistake for not picking it up myself. Then I tell her about the fillings that I had previously made extra for. She said I am wrong and that she did put the correct fillings in. I told her I still had cake left over if she'd like to see it and she started screaming at me saying that I'm going to bring a cake that I had taken out the filling from and that she did not want to see it. Then she hung up on me. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business before and I never leave reviews but I'm hoping whoever reads this makes sure they themselves pick up the cake and to maybe check the filling there at the bakery somehow. Me my friends and family will not be returning to this bakery unfortunately. read more

ive made an order with this bakery one time and the purchase went good when it come time to canceling/ postponing the cake because the party was postponed to next week due to the weather I was giving an option to take the cake or take nothing when I was told that I decided to ask for a refund and was told the cake or nothing so that was very unprofessional and I was told I should have called 48 hours before hand due to her being busy but when I purchased as a first time customer I was not told the policy nor given a website I was recommended to the shop I never heard of or seen anywhere so as a first time customer I feel I should have gotten my money back and/ or I shoudl have gotten read the policy as my first time in the shop 0 stars !!!!!!!!! read more

I ordered two cakes for the first time from Sugar Dreams and they were absolutely amazing! My husband just became a Delta flight attendant and they created the coolest cake with a Delta-branded airplane on the top! It was insane! Also the most delicious lemon-flavored cake with sugar-free blueberry preserves. The whole family couldn't get over the design of the cake and the deliciousness! I also ordered a rainbow cookie cake for my mother in law and it was to die for! Genius idea to create this cookie into a cake and the flavors were so amazing. The cookies are ridiculously overpriced compared to other local bakeries! I thought I'd give this place a try, but I learned my lesson.

Today I stopped in for some pastries for the family. I couldn't decide so I kept ordering. The jelly donuts where soft and fresh and the filling was delicious. I tried going to this place twice. The first time I thought maybe I just went on an off day but I purchased Italian bread, 2 cheese danishes, 4 cannolis , 1 apple turnover and 4 sfogliatelle. Unfortunately the pastries were so dry we threw all 30$ out. I thought I would give them another chance and was so hopeful that there would be a good bakery close by. I went back a couple days later and they still had the exact same things in the case. I know this because I purchased pastries and whatever was left didn't move since I was last there.
