I recently purchased cupcakes for a co-workers birthday here. It was my first visit. I ordered early so I could get an assortment of flavors. The cupcakes were so fresh, fluffy and tasty. The girl at the counter was also super helpful and knew exactly what they were selling and helped me choose what would work for me. Now that I have experienced this place I will return. The hours they are open should work for anyone. The cupcakes were a big hit and they were so good I considered it a very fair value. From the minute I walked and seen the presentation up front and got a glimpse of the operation in the back I knew I was in an experienced bakery. Seeing the assortment, I would say to order for an occasion or I may even stop in just to get a single treat for my self or bring home desert for the family. read more

I've seen a lot about this place and wanted to give them a try. They are not your conventional bakery but have many different and interesting items sure to please almost anyone. There is street parking and multiple municipal lots within walking distance. The shop is long with many cases and displays of baked goods. Everything is labeled clearly and the packaging they use to wrap your purchases is very visually pleasing. Better looking wrapping if you are looking to bring something to someone's house. They have gluten free options and quite a few items you don't typically see other places. The employees working were friendly and knowledgeable. They were also extremely patient with the more indecisive customers. Overall I would recommend this bake shop for a fun change to your typical bakery. read more

We always visit this bakery when in town and bring back goodies. This trip we purchased a rainbow cake (delicious) and got decorated cookies, plus some pink/whites. The decorated cookies were terrible, like biting into a brick. For paying close to $5 dollars per cookie, the freshness should be on par and it clearly was not. They were decorated beautifully, but quality/taste was not good. We bought six decorated cookies, so to spend that much and be a brick texture is no good. read more

Pros: Nice little bakery! Very pretty inside. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cupcake and cookies were yummy! Cons: price point is rough to make it a place I'd visit with any regularity, but that seems par for the course these days. Also, no bathroom (had my daughter with me and she had to go!) read more

We stopped in here before dinner at Tellers cuz all we do is think about food...and eating.... We got two gorgeous chocolate chunk cookies, a mini Oreo cake and a "pop tart." The toaster pastry was flaky pastry, stuffed with jam and iced. It was LOVELY. The cookies were chock full of chocolate chunks and were a generous size. The mini oreo cake was good. Not great, but solid. I took off a star because it's one thing to sell candles in a bakery (odd, but okay). It's a whole nother bold choice to actually have one lit on the food display case. I want to smell baked goods in a bakery lol not whatever scent that thing was. read more

Our office orders from here all the time for special events. I love their cakes: the rainbow cake is by far my favorite (if you are a rainbow cookie lover, this cake is for you) as it is moist, almondy, not overly sweet, and a perfect balance of chocolate ganache and jam. Also can't get enough of their fruit tart--also not overly sweet but fluffy cake on top of a pie crust which jam, chocolate, cream, and so much fruit. The tart crust can be a little tough to cut into though just FYI. YUM. read more

Ordered a custom cake for an engagement party. Sent them a reference photo and they executed it perfectly! We had strawberry filling and got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was. The bride was shocked at how pretty it was. Will definitely order from them again if I need a custom cake! Placing the order was simple and they communicated well. Easy pickup, it was ready right on time. Price point was good and cake was larger than I imagined read more

Cookies are great, and staff is so sweet! Would definitely recommend. Defineitly coming back.

O.M.G. I am so glad I found this place. I was on the hunt for a rainbow cookie cake for my sister's birthday. Google brought me here, and I will be a customer for life (whenever I'm home on Long Island). Everything looked both delicious and cute. Lots of beautiful cake decorating, including edible glitter! The traditional rainbow cookie cake (covered in chocolate ganache) was perfection. Next time, I want to try the cannoli-filled rainbow cookie cake (combining my two favorite desserts). And there's a rainbowcookie/cheesecake. I'm obsessed. The taste and the look are both on point. read more

Since my recent review of the Manhattan Sweets Boutique Cindy ,the owner ,invited me to come in for a complimentary box of cupcakes . I was very impressed by her professionalism and her concern for the fact that I wasn't a satisfied customer. She wanted to make me happy and make it right and that's what she did! All of the cupcakes were moist, fresh and delicious! The chocolate raspberry was excellent and the" rocket fuel " cupcake with liquor was outrageous! read more

Very happy with my visit here! Stopped by and picked up a box of mixed pastries and a cake. Everything came to around $60. Rainbow cookie cupcake was extremely moist and delicious. Rainbow cookie crumb cake muffin was more dense but still delicious. Black and white cookies are soft and the icing was also great. The cheese puff was giant and so flakey. The cake we got had chocolate and vanilla cake, chocolate pudding and Oreo buttercream. Cutting into the cake you could feel how tender the crumb was, cutting into it was a breeze. The cake and fillings were excellent. Honestly one of the best bakery cakes I've had in some time. Very soft, fresh and the buttercream isn't ridiculously sweet. I would Absolutely come back for more, (and this place is a bit of a trip for me!) read more

I've had this bakery three times and each time everything is good. The staff is very friendly, very clean, lots of options and cute shelving with dog items , candles , aprons for gifting. I ordered a cake and cookies for my birthday. The cake was beautiful and has macaroons on top. Cookies were not exactly we ordered but they were really pretty and good. I also just picked up an order for my friend for a christening. They showed me the cakes before I took them and everyone enjoyed them. They forgot to give me the cake topper cross for the cake and they went out of their way to drop it off to the house which was unlike any other business! we also had the flourless GF cake.it was Amazing. My husband says I'll put the owner's kids through college because I live here. But who wouldn't? Manhattan Sweets is beautiful, and you're always greeted so warmly, and everything you get there is a hit. It's my go-to for a box of mixed cookies when I'm having guests or when I am going somewhere as a guest. Their rainbow cookie cupcake is super-special and they'll accommodate pretty much any custom order conveniently. The brownies are great, the baguettes are phenomenal - you can't miss with this bakery. read more

What a gorgeous bakery!!! Walking in feels like a land of treats, sprinkles & sparkles, beautiful decor, and unicorns!!! I knew exactly what I was there for...rainbow cookies!!! I have heard nothing short of the most fantastic reviews about my favorite childhood (and to this day) cookie... The sweet young lady behind the counter answered my questions and I decided on a rainbow cookie bar (large rainbow cookie with a dark chocolate ganache coating over the entire cookie topped w a little bit of sprinkles) and rainbow cookie cupcake (rainbow cookie cake, with the jelly filled in the middle, a little chocolate cream on top, followed by a dark chocolate ganache top and a sliver of rainbow cookie). Well, I have one word for you...AMAZING!!! This has to be the freshest, most delicious, flavorful and moist rainbow cookie I have ever tasted. I don't think I ever closed my eyes as much as I did while enjoying these treats...definitely made with lots of love & care!!! If you're looking for a bakery that is truly delicious, whimsical, and takes your favorite treats to the next level, I highly recommend Manhattan Sweets!!! read more

I came to the bakery on Easter Sunday early in the morning after going by a local bakery and seeing a huge line. I remembered someone recommending this bakery so I drove up the road and decided to stop by and give them a try. My first impression of the well decorated simple and the cakes and desserts really stood out. They even had a section for dog treats that were made for the pups. The customer service was exceptional. The young lady who helped me with my pretty large order considering I was going to two Easter festivities and was in charge of dessert was beyond helpful very patient and very welcoming. When I arrived, of course I took time looking at the cakes and desserts that they had to offer and I was unable to make a choice. I finally did make a choice and decided on the bunny cake, which is white or vanilla cake with chocolate and buttercream, and I also got a rainbow cookie cake, which was phenomenal not dry, it was delicious I also got the assortment of Italian pastry, platters with cannoli Napoleons and tarts, and those were delicious as well. I got a small box of cookies which were good as well as a box of assorted donuts, and linzor tart. I wish I would've taken pictures of everything that I purchased, but unfortunately I didn't. I must say everything that I tried. I had a small sampling at the different events. I went to that day and I must say I was not disappointed at all by anything that I purchased, the lobster tail was delicious. It was right amount of crunch. It was not soggy and the inside was just perfectly sweetened. I would recommend recommend and have been recommending this bakery to everyone I come across. I must say it's way better than it competitor which is down the road, but it's also a little slightly more expensive but like I've told everyone I rather pay a little more for gracious service a pleasant experience and a great product. Kudos I think I have my regular bakery and I hope to try other delicious treats from here very soon. read more

I need to write an update now that we've used Manhattan Sweets for all our wedding-related baked goods. Manhattan Sweets recently made our wedding cake, and it was amazing. We chose red velvet with cream cheese filling, and it was so moist and delicious. We asked for a unique decoration of the city skyline on our cake, and it came out beautiful. We got so many compliments on our cake. My husband said it even tasted good smashed onto his face! They also made our groom's cake which was an homage to my husband's favorite tam, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The cake was beautiful - and delicious - chocolate with cannoli cream. It was a surprise for my husband, and he really got a kick out of it! And, last but not least, we had our favorite rainbow cookie cupcakes boxed up individually as a wedding favor. They were amazing, and a real hit with our guests. I think desserts make an excellent favor, to either eat late at night after the after-party or the next morning as you get yourself out of bed. These cupcakes are truly unique and scrumptious and, at breakfast the next morning, all our guests who had stayed in the hotel asked "Do you have anymore of those cupcakes?" We're already looking forward to our first anniversary and digging back into that red velvet cake! read more

This bakery is just so darn cute! We decided to stop by to pick up some treats for the family and of course had to get the rainbow cookie cupcake AND donut, even before we were told they were the best of their kind! The cupcake is insane - inside the rainbow cake is a whole heck of a lot of raspberry jam. And a rainbow cookie on top of the cupcake! SOOO good, a must try! In addition to the 3 rainbow cookie cupcakes and rainbow cookie donut, we also got a Linzer tart and a Nutella donut (love the crumbled hazlenuts on top) Everything was delicious and I loved the packaging, would definitely stop by if we're in the area again. Quick tip: they sell dog treats! read more

I love having Manhattan Sweets in my neighborhood! The smell of the baked goods in the morning is a special treat when I'm walking my dog. Here's what Manhattan Sweets does very very well: all of the bread, the fruit tarts, the lobster tails and the croissants. The lobster tails are so crispy and the filling is divine. Oh, and the Linzer tarts are really really good. I'm not sure about the cakes. They look very pretty but I've never had a cake from Manhattan Sweets. It's a very lovely bakery inside and the staff is nice. I think the prices are standard. I recommend the things above and will try some other baked goods another time. read more

I had a gender reveal cake baked for my family and I, and the cake was just to die for. The BEST buttercream I have ever tasted in my life. During the week of cake pickup, I also stopped by to collect many pastries and cookies to go with - my personal favorite is the rainbow cookie donut. It is so moist and just delicious- I like to order several for the house and one "for the ride home." :) stop in and take advantage of this gem of a bakery- you will not regret it! read more

All I can say is wow!!!!! First of all, I can not pass a bakery without going in, but most of the time I am disappointed, but today i decided to stop in Manhattan Sweets Boutique and I purchased their big chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies and they were yummy, fresh, and soft and very delicious. The woman behind the counter was nice too, first I was going to get crumb cake, but decided to just get the cookies and she was very gracious and I will definitely be back to try a lot more of their baked goods. read more

I had to go to a last minute birthday party and it was very difficult finding modern cakes. I looked up bakeries via the internet and found this gem. They have a lot of nice, customesque, cakes on hand. I choose a cake decorated with roses with an array of colors. The young woman who helped me was polite and gave me great suggestions for the occasion. It was a Neapolitan flavored cake and it was sooo moist and delicious. It wasn't too sweet and it balanced with the icing. I will definitely be returning there because they not only have cakes on hand but do custom cakes. The cake was superb and I'm not a very big sweet eater, but I could have devoured that whole cake! read more
