First off- they without a doubt, hands down, have the best rainbow cookies ever. They are the measuring stick I use to gauge all others, and I've yet to find a comparable match, or one that approaches. I stopped by this afternoon to grab a couple pounds, and the quality, taste, price were just how they were when I last had them...exceptional. While the rainbow cookies are certainly amazing, Patsy's is no one trick pony. They have a huge selection of tasty cookies, cakes, pastries, cannoli, fresh bread, Italian ice, and a host of other treats. The ambiance can best be described as that place where you go and instantly feel comfortable....you feel at home, like a regular- even on your first trip. Go on a Tuesday and it feels like a Sunday morning when everyone is going in early to grab bread for the evening's dinner. It's that place, and it's perfect. The service at Patsy's is impeccable. I was there at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and there were at least 4-5 workers behind the counter masterfully taking orders, boxing and wrapping goodies, and ensuring all customers needs were met quickly with minimal waiting. Whether you're local to Lindenhurst or Long Island, or from far away and just in the mood for a great bakery (and rainbow cookie!) experience...you have to give Patsy's a try. You won't be disappointed!

We are extremely lucky we did not lose any loss of taste because we would be missing out big time of these outrageously delicious treats we enjoyed immensely tonight!! The orders tonight were the S'mores Lava Cookie, Midnight Cookie and Cream Milkshake and the Strawberry Cheesecake Cup. The milkshake was devoured by my daughters BF. He said it was a perfect consistency, the Cookie and Cream were tasted in every sip but he said there was just a little too much chocolate syrup! He will absolutely order it again but with a little less syrup next time! The cookie was ordered by my daughter but she said it was gooey and a little too rich for her taste but still enjoyed some with a big glass of mik! My 5 stars goes to the Cheesecake that I ordered! It was literally perfection in every bite! The cheesecake was so creamy, decadent and layered with deliciousness! There was enough fresh strawberries in that little cup that it was present throughout! The graham cracker crumbs made up the last layer that completed this cheesecake masterpiece! The serving is big enough for 2 people so lucky me I have dessert for tomorrow night too! I am thrilled I found you Dirty Cheesecake! Next time I visit you in person as there are so many different types of desserts and variations of each kind, I need to see everything vs reading them off of a menu! After getting pizza from the next door Dominos (the shared lot has about 20 parking spaces and the…read moresupermarket across the street has lots more) on a late Sunday afternoon, I went to the bakery to see what they had: Lots of breads and Italian(!) -style butter cookies, and a few pastries. I selected a flan wedge and a chocolate cake slice, both of which could feed 2-3 people! The clerk asked if I wanted caramel sauce with the flan, to which I said, "What's a flan without caramel?" She used a restaurant-type condiment dispenser to squeeze out a rather thin consistency caramel onto the wedge, but, put a lot on it. By the time I got home, less than a half-hour later, the clear, corrugated, plastic, had "trapped" most of the caramel that had oozed off the flan, and, of which, the syrup had dried/seized to the point of being unusable (the plastic was too thin to safely microwave, so I couldn't get the caramel to liquefy that way). The flan was too eggy and dense for my taste, and not sweet enough, with, virtually, no vanilla flavor. The chocolate cake with white cream was too light/fragile, and there was not enough chocolate taste. The cost for both was about $13, incl tax, which, considering my disappointment in the taste, was not worth it. I might be back to sample their other goods, but, I won't be ordering the flan or chocolate cake, again. P.S. To the reviewer who said, "This place (i.e., Brentwood) is legit dangerous," I have travelled throughout Brentwood since the 60s, by foot, bicycle, car, and train, mostly by myself, and have never encountered anything that could be considered "dangerous." Shame on you for spreading social media stereotypes!

As an avid baker, and sweets connoisseur, I'm always looking to find new bakeries or home bakers…read morethat elevate what I can do myself **I'm looking at you The Egg Suite, The Crumb Picker, and Elisa's Niece's Cafe**and I was really looking forward to trying this bakery. Well let me just say that this was an atrocious experience from start to finish. I will NEVER return to this bakery. The girl helping me didn't know if the tiramisu was made with mascarpone or whipped cream or if the Napoleon had pastry cream, custard, or whipped cream. Usually you can tell by looking and that should've been my first sign that something was off. I just assumed that she was new and she was super sweet and apologetic so I forged on. I ordered an Italian cheesecake, cannoli, a single serve tiramisu, and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was soft and a little chewy and the quality of the chocolate was on point. When I opened the box that the cheesecake was in, it was filled with a viscous brown fluid that in my 5 minute drive home had actually accumulated enough to soak through the cardboard bakery box. I immediately knew that either there was too much butter in the crust, there was a water bath issue, meaning the crust was not properly sealed against the water bath or the water level was too high, OR, the cake was old and prolonged refrigeration was the culprit. I brought the cake right back and quietly showed the counter employee the issue...there were customers in the store and I was not looking to draw attention to this issue. The worker was appropriately apologetic and brought it to the back...and that's where everything quickly deteriorated. The owner came out accusing me of dropping the cake, which didn't happen and also had nothing to do with all the oozing brown goo, and then proceeded to insult and demean me in front of the other customers. He said I "obviously wasn't Italian" and therefore "didn't know anything about Italian cheesecakes." When I shared that I was actually born in Italy he quickly shifted to degrading the region my family and I are from. He then said "oh do you make cheesecake every day like we do because if you don't, you don't get to have an opinion." He went on and on while I just continued to request a refund for the defective item. To be fair and transparent, I would've probably overlooked the dripping crust if the cheesecake tasted amazing but it tasted like it had spent a few days too long in the fridge. These days spending close to $40 for a small cake is somewhat of a luxury. I appreciate all of the bakeries and home bakers who are persevering in this difficult economy and continuing to produce quality products. I absolutely understand that nothing is perfect and mistakes happen and when I'm at fault, I take responsibly and hold myself accountable. I do not yell, demean, and insult customers like this owner did. There are too many wonderful bakeries and home bakers that stand behind their goods and deserve your patronage and hard earned money. This establishment is NOT one of the them. As multiple other reviews have stated, it seems that when things are good they're good but when they are bad, this owner is rude and takes no accountability. I do wonder if he would've spoken to my husband in the same manner that he spoke to me but we'll never know because no one I know will ever step foot in this establishment again. Also, the cannoli shells were totally soggy on the bottom. A true Italian bakery would fill individually per order.

I wanted a funfetti cake and the one they had readily available had lovely sunflowers on it. The woman working was so sweet and put some writing on the cake for me. The 6" cake was about $50 dollars which seemed a bit high, but I think its pretty standard for a bakery. The cake itself was very moist and absolutely delicious and I would give it an A+. The cake I purchased for her birthday from another local bakery last year was really dry, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short. It tasted like pure unsalted butter and had almost no sweetness to it, so we ended up just eating the cake center and leaving the frosting. Unfortunate for an expensive cake but based on the other reviews I'm wondering if it was just a one time error. I don't think I would get another cake from there, but the rest of the baked goods and empanadas looked awesome so I will definitely be bake to try those!

We got there at the end of the day and luckily there was 1 veg empanada left so it was meant to be! I got the vegetable one and he got beef. We also got a little container of green sauce. We looked around and I saw the most beautiful cupcakes so I had to buy a few. I was also interested in the almond danish but I decided to save that for another day. We polished off the empanadas very quickly. I have to say that they were the best empanadas I've ever had. They are not even comparable to any other empanadas I've ever tried. I'm not an expert on this subject but I know awesomeness from mediocrity and these were awesome. Yes empanadas from a bakery get an A+++. The outside was light and flaky and the filling was very flavorful and juicy. As far as the cupcakes, also an A+++. Besides being beautiful with the decorations and edible glitter they were very delicious. I tasted a piece of the carrot cake one and the one with the Oreo on top, both were moist inside and had the perfect amount of frosting. I did not taste the vanilla or the funfetti one but my kids said that they were the best they've ever tried. We've had plenty of cupcakes from bakeries in our lifetime and most were looking pretty but fell flat in the flavor department. These exceeded expectations in both area. We live a few miles away which might be dangerous. We will definitely be back.
