My favorite was the Bubble Waffle Sundae, while my bf is always a fan of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milkshake. You can really taste the quality because everything is made in-house--from the rich, creamy ice cream to the warm bubble waffles and even the whipped cream, which I was absolutely obsessed with. What really made the experience stand out was the people. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. The owner was working in the shop when we visited, and he was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. It's always nice to support a local business where the owner is so involved and takes pride in every order. If you're looking for homemade ice cream and desserts on Long Island, Strong Island Ice Cream is definitely worth the stop. Great desserts, great service, and a great overall experience. We can't wait to come back! By the way, there is plenty of parking, the walls are very insta-worthy if you want to take photos with your beautifuly constructed sundaes, and there's some seating, and very clean as well.

I don't think you'll find a better combo! If you're in town and you're looking for a quick dessert run, come on down and have yourself a scoop or two!

There was something for everyone and when we thought we made our decision, we saw something else that interested us. I had a delicious oatmeal raisin cookie. I was only able to eat half, and I'm looking forward to having the second half later. My fiancé had the Tiramisu, my stepdad had cookies and cream cupcake and my mom had a cookie/tart. Service was very friendly! We sat inside. There are a few tables available. Yum!

A phenomenal hidden gem in Northport!…read more Charlie's prides itself on homemade everything and it shows. The baked goods, ice cream and even the latte syrups are all from scratch. Even the ice cream cakes, which is impressive! What I appreciate too is that a majority of baked good are single serving, perfect for a lil' afternoon treat. I've tried the caramel latte and vanilla latte, and both have been superb. I've also had the banana tart and jalapeno cornbread and both were equally good, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking and the cornbread could've been a touch lighter. But will this stop me from picking up a latte and trying another pastry until I find my favorite? Absolutely not!

I maintain that Charlie's has the feel of a bakery in Manhattan, in terms of the cool decor inside and incredibly high quality baked goods. Without question, my favorite item on the menu now has to be their cinnamon roll. It's unlike any of the soggy imitations I'd ever had before and is now my gold standard for cinnamon rolls everywhere. The dough is golden and buttery with a slight crispy texture on the outside, but soft and chewy with lots of delectable cinnamon sugar layered in. The best part though is what seems to be a brown butter cream cheese frosting, drizzled on top. I can't stop myself from devouring the entire thing in one sitting!! They also have the most incredible bacon egg and cheese danish, made with a flaky croissant base that simultaneously shatters and melts in your mouth, and topped with velvety scrambled eggs, a slice of bacon, and melted cheese. Heat it up in the toaster oven for an outstanding way to level up the classic BEC. Also, Charlie's makes a fantastic cup of coffee, and they even have a variety of homemade flavored syrups to add to your latte. The baristas and employees are very sweet and can always give you recommendations. There's plenty of lovely seating inside to enjoy coffee and a pastry with a friend. And did I mention that they make ice cream??! What CAN'T Charlie's bakery do?!?
