Lemon poppy and black and white donuts.

I'm trying to avoid fried foods and searched for baked donuts(doughnuts). I like the variety of flavors available and ordered a mixed set for a winter party and ordered a few extra for myself. I got the order the same week. Love the lemon poppy and classic black and white (tastes like a real b/w cookies) with my morning coffee. If I'm in the city on the UES, I grab a few from Butterfield.

The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality has always justified the cost in our experience. One thing that stands out is how helpful the staff is. They're always willing to answer questions and help you choose something based on your preferences, which is especially helpful given the large selection. On this visit, we tried four Rainbow Cookie Donuts and four Cannoli Rainbow Cookie Donuts. While both were delicious, the clear favorite among our group was the Cannoli Rainbow Cookie Donut. The regular Rainbow Cookie Donuts were very tasty but extremely sweet, while the cannoli version had a better balance of flavors and was more enjoyable overall. Whether we're picking up pastries for a special occasion or just stopping in for a treat, Alpine consistently delivers fresh, high-quality desserts. It's become one of our go-to bakeries on Long Island, and we look forward to coming back.

The inside Rainbow cookie is moist and dense. The chocolate outside was one of the best chocolate hardened glaze I have had in quite some time. **This is a weekend item** The inside is full of temptation. I also grabbed Easter bread and a Crumb Cherry Pie. You can order ahead of time and slip past the line to pick up inside on the right side.

However it's hit or miss purchasing Kaiser rolls. It's amazing how quickly they "sell" out by 11am while there are plenty of plain and sesame seed rolls left to purchase. Additionally the size of the rolls had gotten smaller while the price keeps increasing now $1.00 a roll half the size of a roll from other bakeries and deli's. Apple turnovers are very good but again expensive ( flour going up I guess). Staff always friendly and welcoming but I wish someone would run numbers on roll sales so there'd be some Kaiser rolls left to purchase. Varied selection of cookies, pastries and pies and there's a coffee station for those needing a caffeine fix.

With an ideal location across the street from the St James train station, I can understand why doughnuts and muffins would be gone. Smart! We picked up eclairs, Napoleons, cream puffs and cannolis to go. The black and white cookie looked really good so we'll come back for that as I'm always on the hunt for the best. The cannoli is a small size and has a distinctive nutmeg flavor. I am not crazy about the green sprinkles though. Crunchy though. The eclair is filled with a custard and the chocolate was discolored. Not sure why. It was okay. I have had the Napoleon or cream puff yet so we will see how they hold up the next day. The store has a nice variety of goodies including decorated cakes, cookies and breads so please give them a try.

The cheesecake was super rich, creamy, and packed with cinnamon flavor without being overly sweet. You can tell it's homemade and made with care. The cinnamon bun latte paired perfectly--smooth, and tasted exactly like a fresh cinnamon roll in drink form. It wasn't overly sugary either, which I loved. The whole vibe of the spot is fun and dessert-focused, perfect for when you want to treat yourself or bring friends for something different. Staff was friendly and the presentation alone makes it worth the visit. If you're a cheesecake lover or just want a unique dessert experience, this place is 100% worth the stop. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors.

This is a follow up to my April 2025 review at Google…read more Owner Tarkek Hassanin sent a reply. I rent the apartment directly above their sound system. Where their patrons sit. I had no idea that the music would impact my rental. I toured at 9 am. They start "business" ever day at 9:50 AM, seven/7 days a week until Midnight. No holidays off. None. Just imagine. You rent an apartment for $2,700/1 BR and you hear music...Justin, Taylor, Ed, Coldplay, Beyonce, etc. It becomes 9:50 AM to 4:00 AM because the owner of the Dirty Cheesecake in Smithtown's staff "forgets" to turn off the sound system. AI can easily handle that, right. However, Mr. Hassanin continually turns it back on me..."Contact the Property Management." I did contact Fairfield...Guess what, not "Fair" I will pursue, just know...It's all about money. Shame.

Initially we had ordered two rolls and was told no we ordered three so we shrugged it off. I'd also like to note we were paying with a debit card and it's slightly cheapest with cash. The black and white cookie looked delicious so I opted to get one of those. When being rung up we had sticker shock. $9.31 for 1 large black and white cookie. When I said something about it the girl said she'd put it back but we felt bad so we said "no that's okay." because we both felt awkward and it must be pretty special. The apple turnover was $5.20 and lacking apples. We actually threw it in the garbage after 2 bites. All in all the items were not good and not very fresh tasting in our opinion but to each is their own. I honestly with all due respect feel some places are really price gouging since the pandemic. I get that people lost businesses and all but this place is less than a year old and the prices were not justified and not worth it might I add. I wish them all the luck in the world but don't have high expectations for this place. Sorry.
