A few months back I received a get-well box filled with a variety of different flavored crumb cakes. They were ALL delicious! I vowed to get to this bakery that is quite a distance from my home. Sadly, I just heard that they will be permanently closing their doors on December 26, 2025. With that being said, I wanted to make sure I got there to get their rainbow cookie crumb cake for one last time! I made a special trip on my way home from work. On this late Wednesday evening, I stopped in to find the LAST piece of rainbow crumb cake for the day. While they had plenty of the regular crumb cake and red velvet crumb cake, it's the rainbow cookie crumb cake that is my favorite. BTW, I recommend going earlier in the day to ensure you get exactly what you want. Luckily they still had what I just had to have. Additionally, they have a bunch of other baked goods. In the cases there were cookies, cakes, cheese cakes, lobster claws, Napoleons, cupcakes, etc. too! The homey bakery space is roomy with a table of baked-good trays to go in the center of the store. Since I was the only person in the bakery, the girls were attentive and accommodating. read more

Came here because of the eclectic menu and it definitely lived up to my high expectations. I got an assortment of goodies for my family to enjoy on Christmas eve and everyone loved everything they had. Showstoppers were the black and white cookie- super fresh and amazing frosting as well as the rainbow cookies- also super fresh and absolutely delicious. Ordered a cake for my daughter's 16th Birthday. Provided the cake designer with a hand drawn picture of the desired cakes color and details. After conferring with Amanda she presented some ideas for the design and filling . For the end result Amanda created and designed the exact same that was requested; it was absolutely PERFECT!!!! Not only was the cake beautifully made it was super Delicious ; Vanilla cake with Raspberry filling. The birthday girl was so excited to see the amazing masterpiece and replica of her drawing. My family purchased this Banana Cream Pie to celebrate a birthday this evening. Everyone was excited to taste what looked very good, and the banana cream filling was absolutely delicious. The problem was a completely undercooked and in certain parts, raw crust along with a whipped topping that did not have the flavor of whipped cream or butter cream; but rather had a "chemical like" aftertaste. It had "dried" bananas on top, but they were not crisp... they were brown and mushy. I am a huge proponent for mom and pop businesses, and I know she would never want anyone to get ill from her food- but to serve things undercooked or raw- can be dangerous, and sadly I will not be supporting this business again until the reviews become more positive. If during the first few weeks of opening, products were sold raw, undercooked or lacked flavor...there is NO reason for this business to STILL be serving bakery items with the same results. One would hope that all of these reviews help the owner to correct the mistakes she's making; as the lack of change makes the customer think that there is no desire to grow and become better. read more

The products themselves are pretty good for the most part. The professionalism and service that Whisk offers has gone completely downhill. We've been getting custom cakes and all sorts of desserts from Whisk for over 3 years, without issue. This is no longer the case. With 6 days notice (Previously always asked to submit requests with 2 days notice), we submitted our request with images and flavors for a custom cake for our daughters birthday party (15 5/6 year olds). We were asked to give a phone number for a deposit, so we went in 2 days later for snacks and to leave a deposit. We were told it's not a problem, just call back the next day so we can speak with Amanda and give our deposit. The next day we call back, and we found out she is now too busy on Saturday to make the cake for us. So now after showing our daughter the cake and bringing her in to Whisk, we have 2 days left and no cake for her party. Hoping we can find another bakery that will accommodate us, but I'm beyond disappointed at how this was handled. The cakes are great, but what good is a great cake if a lack of professionalism and service prevents it from making it to your plate? read more

Unfortunately I was not impressed. The pumpkin crumb cake had absolutely no pumpkin flavor. The cake part was more yellow than the standard crumb but no spice flavor or pumpkin flavor at all. I first tried their cakes at friends grad party & her dad's 50th. One cake was Oreo & the other was chocolate peanut butter. I was so blown away that I came home and said "We're only getting cakes from Whisk from now on." New to the area and we were looking for a bakery with something unique. We found The Whisk and read a few reviews about their rainbow cookie crumble and we were sold. As a huge rainbow cookie fan, I must admit this is one of the most decadent rainbow cookie inspired pastries I've ever eaten. The portion was huge for the price. The girls were so sweet and helpful. I do feel like some of the cakes in the display looked like they were a day old or more. But I'm guessing business must have slowed down since COVID. I had been looking forward to trying this bakery for SO long and I was so disappointed. Not one thing I got was edible! I went in the morning and almost all donuts were gone, okay it's a popular place so I grabbed the last three glazed donuts - big mistake. They were rock hard! Aside from that, the flavor was just... off. I also ordered two Oreo Macaroons, and I spit it right out. Last but not least I ordered two chocolate cake pops (they look like ice cream popsicles). I will say the decor is gorgeous, it smelled heavenly inside but the taste of everything was just off. I understand if I went late in the day but it was 11 am, there's no way the sweets could be that bad! I will say I did try a sample of the chocolate chunk cookie which was absolutely delicious! I would have bought 5 but they have m&ms as well and that's just a personal preference- the sample did taste delicious. Maybe, maaaayyyyyybeeeeee one day, IF I'm in the area I'll go back and try something different. I am SO late writing this review, but better late than never! I went in there after going to a different bakery with a Pinterest photo of a cake I wanted for my sons 1st birthday. The previous bakery looked at the picture, said it was all fondant and quoted me a ridiculously over the top price. Well, I went into Whisk as since they've opened we have gotten a few things from there and everything has been delicious. Brittany looked at the picture, and said she could do a lot of it in buttercream and that would save me a lot of money as opposed to the fondant. I was nervous because I couldn't imagine them achieving the same look, but she seemed confident. Well.... my husband went to pick up the cake and when he got home with it I was so blown away I actually started crying. My sons whole (original) party had been cancelled due to COVID and I know it sounds stupid but this perfect cake, really made it all better. Aside from the fact it was ridiculously delicious, the time, effort, skill and the over all level of care they took to make this cake was just over the top. I will DEFINITELY be a customer for life. We have been patrons of the local "best" bakeries for years and have been very happy with them, but Whisk is our new favorite. The cakes taste fresh, delicious, and have a home made quality to them.
