The restaurant is stunning--the entire space is designed to feel like you're wandering through a rustic Mexican village, complete with beautiful trees throughout the dining room that are wrapped in twinkling lights. The atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit, and the live mariachi band was the perfect finishing touch without overpowering the conversation. The food was just as impressive as the ambiance. We started with the Queso Fundido Skillet, which was rich, cheesy, and disappeared from the table almost immediately. For drinks, I tried both the frozen peach margarita and the passion fruit margarita on the rocks, and both were fantastic. The peach was refreshing and perfectly blended, while the passion fruit had a great balance of sweetness and citrus. My dad loved his watermelon margaritas as well. For dinner, I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which were flavorful, comforting, and cooked perfectly. My dad had the shrimp enchiladas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. My husband ordered the chicken skillet along with a shrimp taco and a fish taco, and every bite was a hit. It's rare for every single dish at the table to impress, but Mesita pulled it off. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, and the churros were the perfect ending to an incredible meal--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served warm. The service was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience even better. Between the gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food, excellent cocktails, live entertainment, and outstanding service, Mesita delivered on every level. This is the kind of place you go for a special night out but end up wanting to return to again and again. I can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu.

The dim lighting creates a sexy vibe, and the cozy booths make this a great spot for date night. The food is consistently excellent. My go to order is the Fiesta Fajita it comes loaded with everything and easily feeds two very hungry people. You also can't skip the fresh guacamole and the street corn, both are must-orders. The cocktails are well made and taste great, but they're definitely on the lighter side. If you're a beginner drinker or prefer drinks that aren't too strong, you'll probably love them.

We were seated immediately, and from there the experience just kept getting better. The menu has something for everyone, including a vegan menu plus the regular menu all had vegan alts as well, which is surprisingly rare for any place and especially a brunch spot. Everything we ordered was excellent. The piña colada pancakes were a standout, topped with pineapple chunks, whipped cream, and coconut flakes for the perfect balance of sweet and tropical. The pigs in pancakes were another favorite, featuring sausages wrapped in fluffy pancakes and beautifully presented. We also loved the loaded home fries--a mix of regular and sweet potatoes topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, and bacon bits. They were packed with flavor. The alcoholic drink menu is fairly limited, but the mimosas were well made, generously poured, and hit the spot. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. One of the most memorable parts of the restaurant is its unique atmosphere. A large werewolf statue greets you at the entrance, and the Gothic, Halloween-inspired décor gives the place a fun personality that sets it apart from the typical brunch spot. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer to dine outside. If you're looking for a unique brunch experience with great food, friendly service, and plenty of menu variety, Cornucopia Nursery is definitely worth checking out.

This was my second visit to Salumi, and somehow they managed to impress me even more this time…read morearound. I came back specifically to try their special Oktoberfest menu, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. One of the things I love most about Salumi is how knowledgeable the staff is. They really understand the menu, the drinks, and the pairings, and if you're willing to take their recommendations, they can completely elevate your experience. We started with their signature Old Fashioned made with Noah's Mill bourbon. They actually tested multiple bourbons to find the one they felt worked best in their recipe, and you can tell. It was extremely well balanced. The dry-rubbed chicken wings were fantastic and are fried in beef tallow, which I absolutely loved. They're served with an Alabama white sauce instead of the typical ranch or blue cheese, and I thought that was such a creative and delicious pairing. The figs and burrata were another standout. The creamy burrata, sweetness from the figs and pomegranate molasses, and little bit of heat from the jalapeño worked beautifully together. The spätzle was rich, creamy and comforting with Gruyère, caramelized onions and crispy onions on top. Definitely don't go into it expecting American-style mac and cheese because it's its own thing entirely. The bratwurst tasted nothing like anything you're buying at a supermarket, and the latkes were perfectly crispy. Their homemade applesauce was honestly one of my favorite parts of that plate -- I could have eaten an entire bowl of it. But the absolute star of the night was the Jägerschnitzel. This is a crispy bone-in pork chop with mushroom cream sauce and roasted cremini mushrooms. The pork is soaked in buttermilk before cooking, and it was incredibly moist and tender with a perfect crispy breading. Easily one of the best pork chops I've had in a very long time. We finished with the Black Forest Mess -- whipped mascarpone, brownie and Amarena cherries -- along with an excellent espresso martini. They grind fresh Georgios Coffee beans and pull a fresh shot of espresso for every martini, and if you actually love the taste of coffee, you'll appreciate this one. Salumi continues to be one of those restaurants where the staff truly helps make the experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for recommendations. They know their menu extremely well. If the Jägerschnitzel is still available when you visit, GET IT.
