Best local diner around! Really delicious options, without having a 100 page diner menu! Their Mykonos salad is truly chefs kiss... that dressing too, OMG! They need to bottle it up. Trying to eat healthier and so happy to have choices like quinoa bowls and clean ingredient sandwiches and wraps. Their dinner specials looked amazing, especially the French onion skins everything you could want in the soup but in a potato-y appetizer form. Desserts are made in house and you can tell they are something special. The staff is always friendly and even when my party was a half hour late to show, they were super accommodating and I didn't feel rushed at all. So a couple of years ago when I moved into the area, we discovered the Circle M diner. It's actually in walking distance so our family decided to try it out. We were looking forward to a diner super close to us for late night munchies. We were so disappointed. The food was terrible. You could tell the cook didn't care about his / her job. This was about three years ago and we had not been back since. I didn't write a review because I generally do not write negative reviews unless it was egregious or even potentially life threatening as I support small businesses and I don't want my negative experience that could be a one off day to hurt them. Fast forward to today. I had heard that it was bought out and was under new management. I got my family to try it out and I'm glad I did. Firstly, the diner was clean and it seemed like it was refreshed from when we went last time. Work was done to improve it clearly. In giving this place a second chance, we weren't going to be clever in our order. Just the basics diners should get right. I ordered the NE Clam chowder and my daughter got the chicken noodle soup. Both were very good, especially the chicken noodle. Excellent and flavorful. The NE Clam Chowder was also very good and though I like Chowder, the Chicken Noodle IMO was better here. Main Courses, there were 2 orders of chicken tenders and fries, Chicken Souvlaki, and the Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli. All were excellent. The fries crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken tenders were very big, the Chicken Souvlaki had that nice grilled taste you're looking for in a Chicken Souvlaki, and the Meatloaf was some of the best diner Meatloaf I've had. The Mashed Potatoes was infused with garlic which was a wonderful change of pace from regular mashed potatoes and even the broccoli was good. Crispy and flavorful. Usually vegetables are an afterthought but not this time. I also ordered to take home the Ferro Rocher cake which is excellent. The price overall was comparable to other diners. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. The waiters and manager were very kind, especially to my children. I highly recommend this diner, especially if you're close. It to me is worth the trip even if you're a little out of the way. I do need to try it for breakfast and will give an update when I eat breakfast. I highly recommend this diner and the new owners here deserve the community support. read more

We hadn't been to this diner in years, but we've been twice lately. We are very impressed with the overall look, the food, and the attitude of the employees. Recently, I had an avocado and swiss omelet. We were impressed that on both visits, the manager came by and made sure that everything was up to par, I am happy to know that they are only 5 minutes away if we take the parkway. read more

About 20 of us went inbetween funeral viewings to get a bite to eat. The staff was amazing. They were patient, attentive and friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful and perfectly portioned. If we lived closer, I would add it to a weekly rotation of great places to eat! read more

Ever since new ownership came this place went down the tubes. The prices on the whole menu went up significantly, food production went down and they got rid of the all the great servers. My husband and I came here for breakfast and had a great experience. The server we had was excellent. She was very friendly and efficient. The avocado toast that I had was delicious. See picture. I really don't like when they nickel and dime you for everything that you ask for and you don't know about it until the bill comes, $3 here, $2 more there. Went and ordered cheddar cheese on my food as I have an allergy to American cheese. The first time they brought it out it had American i politely sent it back and apologized profusely because I hate being that person, but again I do have an allergy to it. It was obvious it was American by the look, texture, and it was tasted by someone at my table. They then bring it back and the server says I watched them do it it's all cheddar, when you can look at it and see clearly on the potato's is two different cheeses. 1/4 of it is cheddar the other 3/4s is American which in the picture attached you can clearly see not to mention after tasting it you can taste the difference. N which I tasted it myself and now have a very itchy red tongue (luckily my allergy is not severe). They then took my food off but still charged us for the other persons meal, which is okay not a problem but when we went up to speak to the owner who also was ringing us up he rushed us out n wouldn't even give us the opportunity to speak (maybe he didn't speak good English) but still it was beyond rude. With the itch of my tongue becoming more frustrating we called in and they then proceeded to tell me it was all cheddar cheese they watched them do it. N argued over n over again luckily my allergy is not severe. N I hate to bring race into it, but from the moment we arrived the looks I got and the way everything was handled n treated n the way the owner and his wife treated and looked that could very well be the biggest issue. My bestfriend who I came there with goes to that diner at least twice a week and brings countless people and even she was questioning the true feelings behind it and has never experienced that type of service there. I am disgusted. When I called all I needed was for them to take some accountability instead they were rude told me I was wrong, yet again you can clearly see in the photo the two different types of cheeses on these. Unifying factors these days are difficult to determine - they all seem like the wrong ones to me, well, most anyway. I'll tell ya a Long Island unifying factor - Diners! Your Grammy can be a gay Eskimo that worships the devil and sit her right along side one of those fire breathing Torah thumping Muslims and they'll chit chat over a slice of those dizzying, teeth aching - glass enclosed pieces of icing clad pies. It's because human nature just wants to connect - and Diners are always there to bridge that gap - to feel the homemade environment. Leave any pretenses in the lot and order a bacon double cheeseburger and a hot fudge sundae for breakfast and strawberry pancakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream for dinner while resting your ever expanding rump roast on the always overstuffed padded booth seats. The Signature sandwich was called The Roadhouse - cool movie (even with P. Swazie) and a bouncer of a meal. The roast beef was tender and layered like the walls of the keep of Minis Tirith. It was difficult to get my mouth up and over it's too to bottom bountiful half poundage - but my right hand pinched and twisted in accordance with the disdain for silverware and class which had my dining partner ordering the check half way thru. I was so tempted to point to the corner and say "Seabass has graciously offered to pick up our check" #dumbanddumber the thought of calling our waitress "Flo" ceased right quick as she was sweet but underneath the smile looked like she'd smack the silly right on outta me. Don't sleep on the starter coleslaw and pickles either, I'd order extra hence forth if-in I'll find myself out that way in Wantaugh ever again. read more

Very disappointed in our meal tonight. Ordered two burgers medium, they came super well done. Told both owners who apologized. They did offer to take them back but we had to be somewhere and didn't have the time. And honestly it's a burger, make it correct the first time. Especially since they own the Burgerology chain! Not only was it super well done but it was tiny. I ordered a patty melt and the bread was tremendous compared to the sad burger. We asked for the check and a server brought over a piece of carrot cake on the house. 1. No one asked if we wanted carrot cake which let's face it, I'm sure not many order, I saw the whole cake in the display and 2. When you comp someone something, shouldn't they get to decide what they want?? I don't like to complain and certainly didn't expect a comped bill bc we ate half of each plate bc we were starving but a small GC or take off the soda's from the bill or the .50 charge for the onion. Food was ok. Nothing that really stands out great or horrible. Service was excellent and that is why I am writing this review. There's a sign that it's cash only for tips. Many places have a sign that cash is appreciated. I don't carry cash. It's 2025. I went to pay the bill and told the host at the front that I didn't have cash and would like to tip on the card. She said she can't do that and that they have an ATM. I told her I'm not using the ATM. Not her fault, she's following orders from owner. I am not paying fee for ATM, fee for using something outside of my bank, credit card surcharge as well as the owner getting a commission for use of the ATM. I told the host that it wasn't fair to my server, that she did a great job. Understandably, she had nothing to say. Again, it's not her, it's the owners. My boyfriend scrounged up some cash he had, but it wasn't close to the 20% I was planning to give had I been able to tip on the card. I don't understand what the problem is. You're taking credit cards as payment for the meal, why can't they be used for tip as well? It's not fair to your employees who rely on tips because they get paid a low wage. Other places I've gone to that say cash is appreciated, but if you don't have it, they will take it on the card. You are withholding tips from your employees and that's not acceptable. I grew up here! Back after 22 years! Eggs still perfect soft scrambled and those pork sausage links - oh! Just how I remember them, fat and juicy! I can't tell if the hash browns are my favorite of the three, crispy on the top AND bottom and perfectly cooked within! My daughter, who I also raised in my hometown here in Wantagh before moving, got her favorite disco fries - the gravy was homemade awesome! Mom got the pancake stack that was as fluffy and delicious as always. The owner breezed by the table on the 4th of July to ensure all was as it should be. Still love my dear Circle M. Our dependable neighborhood diner! Did the management change? I went today and the place looked cleaner with new chairs and plates. The service was nice and quick, as usual though. I had the challah french toast breakfast platter and it was good. The waitress was a sweetheart and asked our table if we needed more coffee before we even drank the whole cup. The pancake and the Belgium waffles, which I had a few bites of, were good as well. They gave us a slice of watermelon on the side which was very interesting. The parking lot on the side is quite nice. I do wish they were open a bit later, I go exclusively for breakfast because to me, breakfast and late late night cravings are the best reasons to go to a diner. read more

Stopped by yesterday. I've been going to the Circle M for many years. Even after I left for Vegas whenever I came home I always made a point to enjoy a meal at my favorite diner. I remember the partners when they left the Baldwin Coach over 40 years ago. They must be doing something right since the've had a couple of expansions and the food has never wavered. Clean, small diner. Was there on a Sunday morning with my son. Ordered eggs and coffee and food was fresh. Prices were higher than average for a diner for this meal, Cashier seemed to be grumpy and when I handed her my charge card she said there's a 3.5 percent surcharge to use credit card and you cannot leave tip on the card; must be cash for waitress on table. I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. I had heard that some of the waitresses here are real Bs. One of them is notorious for being rude and upcharging for coffee refills. Thankfully we didn't get her. Our waitress was phenomenal. I didn't get her name, but she was the best! My boyfriend's mom, dad, and I all got burgers. They were SOOOO good. Probably one of the best diner burgers I've ever had. My boyfriend got the French Dip with au jus, which he said was great, but then was sick all night long! He thinks it was the au jus. Actually it's not a bad diner. Hubby and I came here at quite an early AM. We did something unusual because this time we sat at the bar counter for breakfast. The idea is to get a faster service because we saw quite a crowd for early AM. I had sunny side up eggs with sliced tomato. This place did pretty well with my tomato; they grilled it! This is great because not just the slices that came out but the grilled one too! The coffee was good. Hubby had over easy with crispy bacon. Right in front of me is the tray of all the muffins. For those who love muffins, come and get it! Overall the breakfast was very good. read more
