I came here after visiting someone at the Hospital. Nice and clean diner, the staff is attentive and friendly. I ordered the chicken souvlaki gyro, it had a seasoning that I wasn't too fond of and the tzatziki was bland. Also ordered banana pancakes with walnuts, it was good.

Used to come here a lot back when it was celebrity diner. Saw it had reopened and decided to check it out. This place is PACKED. We came on a Sunday so that may have had something to do with it. Ended up waiting for about half an hour for our seats. I ordered the cubano on rye and it was pretty good. Really hit the spot. The servers were attentive and made sure my coffee was filled at all times. The latte was very pleasant and refreshing. Really brightened up my Sunday morning. We were stuffed after the meal so we ordered a desert brownie to go. Will definitely return again! hopefully when it's a little less busy

This prime location on Jericho Tpk in the hub of many shops, businesses and a hospital - formerly Celebrity, which served as the only diner for decades .. is now a completely new Diner with experienced owners and a full renovation. Much roomier and still bright and pleasant Friendly severs. Easy parking. Only tried burgers - coleslaw - fries & onion rings, not cooked either with hot enough or the right kind of oil - as too much did not cook put. Burgers very good. Also saw a popular chicken stir fry that looked ok. Desert counter looked a few steps up with lots of choices. Lemon Meringue looked extremely huge and worth a try. Cheesecake was precut and not sure if as good as what was one of the best out here. Will have to try and see. Will enjoy trying out this new diners menu.

Came here for early dinner with friends...second time since they renovated. Used to be Celebrity Diner when we were here last. Friendly staff and service. Decor and lighting is brighter and plenty of seating. Best to get here early to avoid wait time and crowds. The desserts looks delicious so save room otherwise order dessert first. Variety of choices to select from the menu - breakfast all day menu is an option. Food is good - can't go wrong with ordering a burger or staple choices. Chicken quesadilla was ok. Had the philly cheesesteak another time and was ok too. Restrooms are in the back. Good to have a diner in the neighborhood.

Standard diner experience! They did so well redecorating the place after new ownership. Food is good and service is fast. I loved their Oreo pancakes!

I had an excellent time at Neptune diner with my friend, Stephen B. The ambience and food were excellent.

Mango smoothie...? Why the ice cubes?! 6/10

It's really a 3.5 stars. There's a parking lot with lots of seating. An abundant range of choices as a typical diner. Service ranged from good to just OK depending on the person that came by to help. The cleanliness and the staff were the main reason for the low rating - otherwise I would have given a 4 based on food alone. When shown to our seats, the seat was wet and the backrest dirty; the extra plates we got had 3/5 clean plates where the other 2 were dirty and one had actual food crumbs on it. The first time I went the coffee was great as well as the smoothies but this time they both missed the mark by a landslide - not sure if it was a different person who made the drinks? But who puts ice cubes in a smoothie?? Hello - it's a smoothie, you're supposed to blend it; and the lady who gave it had an annoyed look about her when I stated that. And the drinks all came out about 7min after the food all had come to the table... Their side sausage was great 10/10 but very pricey $8 for 3 small pieces. Their glass of Orange juice was $7... Banana pancakes 8/10, waffles with scoop of strawberry ice cream 8/10, western omelette 8/10, mango smoothie (tasted more like OJ than mango) 6/10, ice latte 5/10

Came to check out the new renovations on this diner. Plenty of parking and wow is it beautiful on the inside. Very clean. We were seated promptly and the server was very attentive. We started with some mozzarella sticks which were perfectly crispy and I ordered the California chicken sandwich as my entree and it was so big I got to save some for later. My mom and my sister also enjoyed their entrees. Dessert was delicious too! I had the german chocolate cake. Excited to come back and try more; maybe breakfast next time! Thank you!

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

Unfortunately, the meat had an oddly gamey flavor that immediately raised questions about the quality or freshness. The sauce itself was decent, but it wasn't enough to save the ribs. For entrées, we ordered the steak frites and the half chicken. The steak was maybe a 5/10, and that's being generous. The meat itself was underwhelming, and the accompanying steak sauce actually made matters worse rather than complementing it. Even stranger was the side salad, which somehow had a noticeable fishy smell and taste--definitely not something you expect from a fresh salad. The half chicken was easily the biggest disappointment. It had an unpleasant flavor that came across as spoiled or rotten, to the point where it was difficult to eat. The potatoes alongside it were about a 4/10--bland and forgettable. Overall, much of the food had the taste and texture of something that had been frozen and reheated rather than freshly prepared. Ironically, the fries may have been the best thing we ate all night. Then again, fries are a pretty low bar to clear--and thankfully, they managed not to mess those up. The restaurant was also a bit chilly inside, which didn't help the experience. And on a less serious note, the Diet Coke deserves a mention. Put it next to a McDonald's Diet Coke--and we all know McDonald's is the gold standard--and this one is just sad. I don't enjoy leaving overly negative reviews, but when you're paying restaurant prices, there should be a baseline expectation of freshness and quality. Between the questionable ribs, fishy salad, poor steak, and especially the chicken, this meal fell well below that standard. Food: 3/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Fries: Somehow the MVP

Anyway we're headed to IKEA but decided to eat first, I was routed by GPS to the Hicksville Diner but the driver said " there's a diner right there. So we flipped the bit, for the lack of a better term, and ended up at Broadway Diner. WARNING! When you are headed for a certain place, stay on course. It's not good to deviate. I was the first one walking in because I had to use the restroom. I was totally ignored for less than a minute. The guy finally comes over and a lady cuts him off and asks him about the cake, like no one in the restaurant could have assisted either her or me. He was not in a rush to see what I needed. When one of my party of four walks in 2 minute later, he comes over to attend to me. I just had to ask why he did what he did because I felt offended. I'm hearing, K Dot's- "they not like us" in my mind, while all of this is transpiring. Again! IYKYK! I'm watching one worker wipe down the cake cooler because it was foggy. More like going through Pittsburgh PA in the morning and the sun is up. The four of us are now headed to the table and this place has nice murals but I wasn't focused on that, I was more concerned about this restaurant needing to be refreshed because it really shows on rainy days. I'm Just glad that we weren't sitting by any window. I ordered the vegetable omelette, it was bland with no taste, I had to put salt, pepper, and ketchup on the meal to spruce it up a little. The customer service could be a lot better, the server also forgot the honey that was requested. I know, I'm only human, born to mistakes, The Human League said it best. The only excitement I experience is when I went to get the Napoleon, I showed my ID and we got a good laugh from that but otherwise, I'm going to take Eddie Kendricks advice, Keep On Trucking! I don't have any reason to return even though the Napoleon was on point. Still.. Inspire more, Yelp more!

This menu was so fun to go through, so many dessert options too. It's literally the second page of the menu as featured items more so than the food. Not going to lie, saw a few folks order those monster sized shakes topped with ice cream or donuts. Looked so good but I'm trying to be good. Hubby and I shared potato skins as an appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised that it was paired with salsa as a sauce on the side as well as the traditional sour cream. The bacon on top was good but one had a lot more fat in it than crispy bacon bits so that was a little off putting. The melted cheese and skin overall was good texturally but the potato could've used another two minutes in the oven. I like my skin side more crispy. Hubby ordered a burger with mushrooms and Swiss, came with fries. It had two full sized onion rings inside and lettuce and tomato; served with the knife through the center for plating. It was a good burger! Fries were nice and crisp with still a soft center. Perfect. That's why diners rock! Always reliable, ordering burgers and fries. I ordered the Western Skillet. Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?! Loaded with a bed of home fried potatoes. Needed a pinch more salt but no biggie, I just added it myself. It could've used more ham to be honest but the mix of peppers and onions were plenty. I devoured the three eggs on top, which I chose sunny up. Eggs your way so you decide. I had to wrap mine to go as I realized my dinner was too potato heavy. Ha ha What can I say, I really love potatoes. And it was just as great the next day.

During the winter months I'd do takeout and every time the food was great at home. I love their soba noodles salad when it's in season, however they switched to a different noodle and it doesn't have the same oomph! The owner recognizes me from all the times I've been there for dining in, takeout, called, and parties and events. I went there again last night with some family and overall it was very nice. One star deduction for the rudeness we received from the manager. She came over after we ordered a second bottle of the Freemark Abbey (wine) (as they were completely out and the first bottle we ordered was their last bottle in stock) and gave us two "similar" options that were around the same price of the first bottle. Price doesn't equal to taste. We first asked if it's okay to try it even if we may not like it, and she kindly proceeded to open the bottle. We said "no thanks," to the Keever (it tasted disgusting in comparison), which she and her colleague highly suggested, and we asked nicely if the other bottle was an option to try, but she swiftly walked back inside with both bottles and brought out an open bottle of the Katherine Cab. We liked that better. She stormed away after she said something fast and nasty like "It's either the bottle or you have to pay per glass." We didn't quite catch it but the ultimatum put a bad taste in everyone's mouths. We wound up ordering the Katherine Cab. When we got the bill the server charged us fairly. We tipped well because it's not the server's fault she was upset about opening the wine that she pushed. Happy eats!
