Center Coffee in Plainview NY next to Wine &Spirits and Beach Bum Tanning. A luncheonette good for breakfast brunch. Waitress quick to seat and serve offering coffee and juice. Breakfast specials listed on menu. Side orders can include a 2 stack of pancakes. ( see pix) Food good, made fresh and to order. Note: as price of eggs has gone up , they charge additional fee. Todays meal was 20.00.

My friend and I decided to meet here for breakfast since it is conveniently located to shopping. Google maps lead me to believe that it is in a stand alone building but it is not. It is in the main strip. Thanks to Yelp reviews, I learned it is CASH ONLY so I came prepared. The website can use an updated menu. Upon entering, there are plenty of booths for 2-6 people and counter service. We ordered both order egg platters, mine was the corned beef hash with one egg. It was very good. Service was friendly and efficient. The decor reminded me of the coffee shops I grew up with. Will definitely be back!

I'm glad my neighbors told me about Center Coffee! I thought it was a coffee shop but it's really an old school Greek diner! You walk in and pick your own table. The waitress will ask you what you would like to drink and will bring out your coffee with a glass of milk in like 2 minutes! I ordered pancakes with eggs over easy and bacon. It was out in about 5 minutes! Hot, fresh, and good portions too! They are cash only but have an ATM in the back. I believe their hours are 6am to 3pm so if you're looking for a quick breakfast or lunch, then this is the place! Can't beat the prices either! I found my regular brunch spot!

I had to throw it because it tasted bad.

Bagel was soggy and tasted nasty it's the second time I throw my food away. The waitress was very nice though but food sucked.

I love Center Coffee, been coming here for decades. Breakfast they will do your eggs just the way you like. Lunch great soups, my fav is split pea with their homemade croutons, or Yankee Bean. Excellent chicken salad on a roll with lettuce never fails, they have great little side of cole slaw with that old school flavor and pickle spear you just don't find everywhere, so good. Great Burger Deluxe too. Since COVID we don't eat in restaurants, we still do take-out though.

    Homemade Cherry coke. Soooo good

Second time at this coffee shop. Great stuff. Came for a late breakfast on a Saturday. Place was packed. Was able to find a booth and ordered right away. Got a great omelette and prob the best well done home fries I've ever had. Everything is made fresh. I was told the burgers here and everything else here is outstanding. Will return and try a burger the next time. They do not take credit cards. Cash only just a heads up. Person I was with had French toast with poached eggs. Said the French toast was outstanding.

Dont blink or you will miss this jem of a place. I have literally been in the Plainview shopping center hundreds of times and have seen the sign Center Coffee, And honestly never thought much about them. I figured it was just another Coffee place and since there is a Starbucks 10 stores down I always ignored it. I had hurd threw the grapevine haha that this was an amazing place. The rumor mill was correct. Center Coffee is like a throw back in time and is set up like an old fashioned diner. I had a egg sandwich with bacon and potatoes to go. It was totally delicious and was probably one of the best egg sandwiches around. The staff were friendly and fast and could not ask for more. I will definitely go back and actually eat there. I would say it is definitely worth a trip.

Diner located within a shopping strip! Plenty of street parking.. Also the size, from the outside can be deceiving. The diner is long & spacious, thanks to there open kitchen concept. The food is "OK" nothing out of this world just average! Like any mom & pop spot. The decor is outdated & majority of the patrons are regulars. I heard the lunch rush is crazy. There is no variety of Hot Sauces, just a giant bottle of "Red Hot". I always believe that customer service plays a huge role, in the success of a establishment. Our server a more older lady, definitely needs to learn a thing or 2! I felt her RUDE & I felt rushed! She looked Miserable! Definitely won't be returning! For the average food & horrible service!

    Grilled cheese, very good

I love the throw back vibe here. If you want to give it a shot, breakfast or grilled cheese would be your best bet. The short order cook is fast and accurate. The only issue here are the waitresses, most wouldn't get a job elsewhere, horrible attitude, like they're doing you a favor

    Huge hot sauce!!

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

The drinks were amazing also. We started with the bread at the table and a delicious fresh butter; it hit the spot perfectly and was warm and with great crust. We decided to order from the price fixe menu since it was restaurant week. We both started with the New England Clam Chowder and it was perfectly seasoned and had a nice amount of clams, potato and croutons for texture. Wonderfully flavorful and it was good portion. Next we decided on the main courses, wifey chose the chicken scallopini with linguine; I chose the rigatoni bolognese - mostly because that was her second choice. We absolutely loved the food, portions were huge and flavors were absolutely top notch. We managed to get so full from off the entrees that we managed to have some leftovers for our kids to enjoy back at home. Of course we had to leave some room for desert. I didn't take a picture of it but we loved the carrot cake. If you're ever in the area, or can make it with reservations it is absolutely worth every effort to make it to this restaurant. Food was amazing, service was spectacular and the ambiance is chic and pleasant.

When you walk in, there's a kiosk that you can order your own customized boba tea from. Their drinks are next-level! I tried the Brown Sugar Boba and it was perfectly sweet, creamy, and loaded with those chewy, fresh boba pearls (they make them hourly, so they're always spot-on). Their fruity drinks are also great when you add jelly to them. I like their unique customized boba cups. They are very convenient and they keep the straw from tearing too big of a hole on the seal and thereby leading to spillage. I've never seen that type of cup in other bubble tea places. The staff is super friendly and quick -- even when it's busy, orders come out fast and accurate. Love that it's a local, woman-owned business adding so much joy to the community. That being said, it is a very tiny establishment. Sometimes we end up having to stand while we enjoy our tea. Better to take the stuff to go! The balanzoni stood out for its rich, flavorful sauce, and adding the lasagna was absolutely worth it -- layered, hearty, and extremely satisfying. Dessert was just as strong. The tartufo was rich without being overwhelming, the ice cream was smooth and refreshing, and the biscotti was hands down the best we've ever had. Ending with coffee tied the meal together nicely.
