Love this bakery, been going here for many, many years. It's always busy for a reason. My favorite and main item is the large napoleon cake they make. Have not found anyone that compares, and we have tried several throughout the years. Great selections, line does move fast as they have a good system.

Dortoni's makes the best Black and White cookie in Long Island (that I've tried). The B&Ws are freshly made, or were when I arrived. The white (vanilla) was my favorite on this cookie; it tasted good and had a great hard-ish shell. I liked the black (chocolate) too and it smelled amazing, but the flavor was a bit too rich. Rich size, uneven frosting, frosted on the correct side.

Dortoni Bakery is an old school Italian bakery, in Levittown. Family owned since 1976. This was my first time at Dortoni's, it certainly won't be my last. I live in Brooklyn, trust me it's worth a trip. I have absolutely fallen in love with Dortoni's. It was extremely busy, but the wait time went quickly. I spent my time looking at all the incredible goodies that filled the display cases. It was so hard to choose since, everything looks mouthwatering. They have the best black & white cookies, Napoleon's, cannolis, rainbow, cookies, and pignoli cookies. Their breads were delicious, as were the tres leches cake. They had beautiful Pride cookies too! Thank you Dortoni's, for making life sweeter!

Dortoni has been in business for a few years, they are always known for their neutrino design and taste. The service is quick and efficient especially where there's a line out the door. Typical Italian bakery on Long Island. Minus 1 star for the sloppy writing on my cake, I also did not get to see it before i left so it was pretty embarrassing to present this cake to my sister. Wish they did better sadly.

Once upon a time, Dortoni Bakery of Levittown was my go-to place for cakes whenever I didn't have time to bake them myself. Over the years, I've made several purchases for various celebrations and even referred many customers. This year, my retired mother was adamant about ordering a cake for my birthday, which was last weekend. Together, we placed an order for Dortoni's red velvet cake, trusting them to deliver the exceptional product we'd always received in the past. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. The cake we received was nothing like the vibrant, bright red velvet cakes we were accustomed to. The flavor was completely off--it did not taste like red velvet at all. Instead, it resembled a blend of carrot cake with a dull, unappealing dark red color. When I returned to town, I contacted the bakery to express my disappointment. The manager, Rudy, asked me to bring in a slice of the cake, which I did. Without even tasting it, he insisted it was not carrot cake. My birthday evening had already been ruined after discovering this poorly made version of what should have been a classic red velvet cake. Rather than offering a full refund or full store credit, I was only offered $75 of the $150 spent--or the option to have another red velvet cake remade. I found it unreasonable to expect that I would trust them to remake the same cake after they mishandled the original order and admitted that this particular cake batter is not even made in-house but purchased from a third party. Customers choose Dortoni for authenticity, not outsourced products and poor quality. Rudy said he would contact his leadership team to see what more could be done and promised to call me the following day. That call never came. After calling the bakery multiple times with no answer, I finally called from a different number--someone picked up but immediately placed me on hold and never returned. I was forced to waste additional gas and time visiting the bakery in person to follow up. I waited over an hour to speak with the manager, received no apology for the wait, and was met with dismissive, condescending remarks. To avoid prolonging this ordeal or causing a scene, I reluctantly accepted the $75 store credit--though I told them I would likely give it away because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I wasted gas driving to the bakery twice, and even had to cancel a session with a client to deal with this situation. This is a matter of principle and fairness. I do not believe I was compensated appropriately for the distress and inconvenience this has caused me. The photos below shows only a fraction of cakes that I've purchased over the years. The poorly made red velvet cake is also depicted below. Dortoni Bakery has certainly lost a loyal customer.

Absolutely amazing They were able to help me out in a pinch and cleared this masterpiece in lightning speed. Thank you so much.

If you have a sweet tooth, this bakery is your dream come true! Located in Levittown off Hempstead Turnpike, it's sure to have something to please even the pickiest dessert lover. The nicely lit exterior and bright signs warmly welcome you inside. The minute you step in, the massive display cases overflowing with goodies are sure to put a smile on your face. The selection is endless, everything from cookies and individual cake slices to beautiful custom wedding and birthday cakes. One thing I noticed is that prices for the items aren't clearly marked, which can be a little inconvenient for customers. I purchased a small variety of cookies and macarons. For a small box containing about 12-15 cookies and 6 macarons, the total came to $33, pricing is calculated by the pound. Everything is kept clean and organized, which I always appreciate and love seeing. Right now, they're offering a nice assortment of holiday treats, including beautifully decorated gingerbread houses, which are very impressive. While this isn't a spot I'd visit weekly, it's the perfect place to satisfy a craving for freshly baked goods whenever I'm in the area

I was disappointed with the customer service and the baked goods today. I've been raving about Dortoni's and took my husband for the first time. We walked in, got a ticket, and waited 30 minutes before a counter girl called our number. There were three customers ahead of me and two placed cake orders. They really should have a line for cake orders/purchases and another for pastry/baked goods. There were two counter girls. One was on her pink cell phone while her customer was deciding what color icing and cake she wanted. The second counter girl was taping the receipt to a yellow order form while talking to a boy who appeared to work in the kitchen. She was just having a fun conversation and taking her time while there was a line of customers to the door. The worst part was when I finally got my mocha cake slice and NY Yankees sugar cookie. The mocha cake slice was dry and stale on the inside while the sugar cookie was hard. Quality has really gone down as this would have never happened years ago.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY FOR A CUSTOM CAKE-- My family and I have been going here for a long time... just recently the bakery has gotten new owners and it has gone downhill since... I have ordered 3 custom cakes for 3 separate events and each one was completely different from what I requested in terms of design. The first picture is what I requested and the second is what I received-not at all similar and looks like it was made by a 5 year old. When I spoke to manager her response was "oh you have to be very specific because our bakers cant read". EXCUSE ME? Even on my reciept there was clear instructions for color and design... Very unproffesional and not fair to customers who are paying alot of money and have high expectations for a custom cake.

This is the line at Dortoni on Christmas Eve.

Great bakery but every time I come in here there's only 1 or 2 people helping customers at the counter. Not worth wait if!
