Went here real quick cuz I was craving a cinnamon bun before seeing a show at the Merrick Theatre and I also got a refresher type drink called The Fizz which was really good! I loved that it had chunks of fruit in it. Very refreshing. I liked the cinnamon roll too, I think it was outsourced from a cinnamon roll specialty place? They were in bags and had a brand name on them but they were pretty good for not being fresh. It wasn't as gooey and heavy on cinnamon filling as I was hoping and I was worried about it having too much frosting on the top but it ended up being a good amount! Came here after seeing ppl review it on TikTok and I was so curious. So glad we stopped by, the place was popping since there was a fair outside. The place is pretty large and serves more than just drinks. Service was really quick despite the crowd and the place smelled delicious. You can tell it's an old school design. My sister and I visited this place and we loved their bacon egg and cheese on the croissant! The coffee is very creamy and very good as well as their passionfruit lemonade. My sister loved her coffee crème brûlée, she even wanted to order a second one! The service was great and didn't take long for us to receive our orders. Came here for the 1st time after seeing some reviews on social media and was super excited! The ambiance and cute nature of this place alongside the good coffee earned them their 3 stars but I was highly disappointed to find that the customer service was lacking. I waited to order approx 5-6 minutes and no one ever acknowledged my presence (not the barista who looked upset nor the older gentleman who seemed to be the manager or owner). Normally I'd walk out but I had already driven the distance and just stayed patient. The service completes the experience, I really wish I could have given 5 stars but there are some improvements to be made here. read more

This newish place was adorable and in prime real estate the corner of Merrick Avenue and the LIRR on Sunrise. I didn't expect it to have tables and chairs and sofas like the old Starbucks. The drink selection was good and unusual. I ordered a lavender matcha that was good, but not amazing. The staff was sweet, but there was a slight language barrier. All in all, it's a solid place to go for your coffee. I recommend Hard Bean. read more

As someone who loves going to cafes and trying unique drinks, I found the drinks to be delicious. There are a lot of options to choose from but the iced shaken espresso is my favorite, as there are plenty of cold foam options to choose from. This is actually our second time here. We enjoyed the drinks we got the first time so much we drove an hour to come back to try more drinks. Currently, there is a fall menu and we got 2 drinks from it-- pumpkin pie and maple matcha as shown in the picture. You can get the pumpkin pie with whatever coffee- we got it with the iced shaken espresso. It tastes exactly like a pumpkin pie-- imagine a PSL but even better. The maple matcha is also great- a balance of sweet maple with earthy matcha. Great space and ambiance to do work. The man who works there is also the sweetest. Loveee this coffee shop! They have a lot of fun flavors on the menu, and there are usually some seasonal flavors available too. Some of my favorites include white chocolate, caramel, and red velvet ; (seasonal). The service here is also great, and I've never had to wait longer than a couple minutes for my coffee. read more

Jill was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and easily the highlight of my visit. It's rare these days to come across someone who makes a coffee shop feel genuinely welcoming, and she nailed it. That said, the vibe took a sharp turn thanks to what I can only describe as dark looming cloud of the so called "manager"... hovering and speaking to an obviously newer employee in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh. Ironically, she seemed to be doing great, which made the whole thing even more awkward to watch. I've worked at a coffee shop and in the food service business. It takes a minute to adjust. Especially when we have to experience rushes. Great staff member, questionable leadership. Unfortunately, that's enough for me not to return. I came here with my dad after the morning church service on a Sunday. I've been wanting to try this shop out since I noticed it. I wasn't disappointed, it was great. There is a wide variety of coffee drinks and food available to chose from when you walk in. I had the regular coffee and the Monkey Bread. The Monkey Bread wasn't overly sweet but it was sweet enough. It was great dipping it inside of my coffee. The regular coffee was also pretty good, I always judge a coffee shop by their regular cup of coffee, as fun as coffee drinks are you can't properly judge a drink with the flavored syrups that go inside of a coffee drink. The place is relaxing to hang out in and the owner was friendly. Definitely a good place to visit! read more

Abysmal coffee and even worse service. We got two different drinks, one hot and one cold and I swear they just emptied dirty dishwater into cups. $9 each. I can't take how adorable this place is - it's unbelievable that this used to be a bank. It's a real shame the movie theater nearby closed because it would've been fun to do a little coffee house and movie day combo with the fam, but hopefully something equally cool opens up. As a 90s kid, it reminds me of a hangout spot on my old Nickelodeon and Disney Channel tv shows, with the little local community bulletin board on the wall and oversized chairs, and now I get to live out my cool hangout spot dreams as an adult. There's plenty of seating available, both with tables and a little lounge spot, and I saw someone had set up to do some work at one of the tables. There's parking both in the station lot and street parking (check the signs to confirm). I've gotten a banana strawberry smoothie and two iced matcha lattes. The owner was really kind and double checked to make sure my matcha lattes were sweetened to my liking. Everything was delicious and I'd be open to trying some of the baked goods they had available in the future. They also had a fridge with some Celsius drinks, and lots of non-dairy options. There hasn't been a place this close to the station since that bagel shop closed (the one where Kenko is now) so I hope it does well! Make sure you get a loyalty card to stamp! It was my first time visiting this coffee shop, and I really liked a large cozy space with a very friendly owner there was so comfortable! The coffee was by far the best of any cafe I've ever been to. For lunch, I had a turkey sandwich and my friend had a roast beef sandwich, each sandwich had a different type of bread and the ingredients were so fresh and very tasty. It's a coffee shop with a rich menu of smoothies, desserts and breakfast etc....... that I'll want to go to the cafe every day.
