After a day at the beach, I desperately needed a coffee before heading over to a friend's house in Jericho. Every cafe seems to close at 4pm on Sunday in LI, but we found The Cup Coffeehouse on Google. Staff were incredibly nice and we got about 6 drinks to go. The vanilla matcha was really good and the Americano that I had was also great. My husband had a frozen hot chocolate and I liked that one was well. I'm not usually a hot chocolate fan, but this one wasn't too sweet. All in all, a great spot that's open late for coffee and drinks! read more

Our waitress checked in on us and made sure we got what we needed and let us enjoy our drinks before we asked for the check. Besides the regular menu, they always have special drinks with inventive names. For April, it was the Alice in Wonderland theme. I decided on a milkshake called tweedle dee which is cotton candy and vanilla with vanilla ice cream. It was very whimsical with the candy sprinkles around the cups edge. I've been coming here since one of my very dear friends introduced me to this lovely little coffeehouse. It can get loud with chatter, or music, but that doesn't bother be because it's full of fun, and life! The dessert is yummy, and I've enjoyed the delicious lattes, and cappuccinos from their menu. This is a really lovely coffee shop right across from the train station (and a few storefronts from Mulchays). I got a coffee and their peanut butter pie and we also ordered fries for the table and had a great night. I 100000% recommend the pie! So heavenly. Our server was really wonderful and accommodating when more and more people kept joining us (we were holding a little get-together but never got a confirmation about how many people were coming). I love their quirky mugs and decor, and you can even buy the decor from local artists which is really cool. I have 2 minor things to mention of things I didn't like, one that is out of their control. The one out of their control is the parking situation. Because of the train, there's a myriad of street signs that have short hours you can park, and it isn't clear if you can park in the train spots during non-rush hours. I had to circle a few times. It is definitely a deterrent for me to return. Additionally, I do wish they had more hours. I'm almost surprised I didn't see that they don't open for a few hours in the morning. I got the iced Viennese and my husband got the cup signature house blend. We both agreed it was delicious coffee! For our dessert, i got the pecan pie and my husband got the tollhouse cookie. Rude and Unprofessional staff! We walked in and were greeted right away, we advised looking for table for 3 to be seated, a girl employee pointed us to seating right in front of the door, however we kindly asked if we could sit further back by the couches (it was 40 degrees out and didn't want to feel a draft). There were only about 3 tables taken (it was 7pm on a tue), the girl employee immediately got annoyed and said "I guess so". She then proceeded to walk us over to the other seats and slammed the menus down on the table. She then went to the bartender and clearly was talking about us. We didn't feel comfortable and left before ordering and trying the coffee and dessert. In addition, the girl employee was very sloppily dressed and looked like she could just be someone hanging out at the coffee shop (no uniform). They serve coffee, tea, desserts, munchie finger foods, salads, paninis, and more! I was undecided what drink I wanted. I ordered a gingerbread latte....only to be told I couldn't have it because they didn't have any vanilla chai. So I couldn't get my second choice either. I settled with a hazelnut latte with almond milk. Basic latte had basic flavor. For my dessert I had apple pie. It was basic as well. It needed more cinnamon! The rest of the people in my group had cherry pie, pecan pie, and a caramel blondie. I don't remember what drinks they got. However, everyone's plate was empty, so I'm going to guess that they enjoyed it! Service was okay. We went last night around 9:30 on a Friday night and had a 30 minute wait. It's a great concept, good vibe, just could use some updating (seating, games, lighting). Our table was sticky. The scrabble board we tried to use was also sticky but worse it was missing a bunch of letter which was disappointing - we were really looking forward to playing. The Cup is my local go to place to relax and unwind with my friends, over a nice cup of hot tea (was never a big coffee fan) and one of their delicious homemade desserts (warm apple crumble pie with vanilla ice cream for me please). There is a regular menu to choose from as well, but I have not yet ordered from it. The weekends are almost impossible to get in (live entertainment on Friday & Saturday evenings), so I usually find myself there on a Wednesday night when they have open mic, and I can get a seat on the sofa, and a parking spot. Some really nice talent plays here, some not, but it's nice to listen to anyway and see devoted family and friends cheering them on. This is really the only reason why I didn't give The Cup a 5 star rating, I haven't experienced the weekend yet. Otherwise, it's a place where you will always be guaranteed a nice night out and will be returning for more! Came here after dinner with my friend to enjoy some coffee drinks. It was totally packed and open mic night I believe. We were greeted instantly and wound up sitting at the last open table. They were yummy and had just the right amount of sweetness. The entertainment was definitely a nice surprise and along with the live entertainment, we played connect four, which I am apparently terrible at. The table across from us was playing battleships and another table was playing connect four as well. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits and there was a ton of support for the performers. Although the server was busy, he was very attentive and thorough. There was a doctor who did a comedic act, which most of his material went over the heads of the crowd (generally young people), unfortunate. We would certainly come here again. The cappuccino was good, and for dessert I had the Tollhouse pie which basically was a chocolate chip cookie pie with nuts.
