Honestly wasn't impressed. I was expecting it to be fabulous! The chocolate was good but the mini chips in it were like plastic chocolate. Really hard and didn't have much taste. The banana ice cream had chocolate shavings that were definitely a better quality of chocolate but the banana was harsh and very artificial tasting. I was sad that it didn't live up to the hype. After you've had a great burger at All American, what makes an excellent nightcap is to walk 50 feet to the opposite side of the parking lot to grab a scoop from Marshall's. The shop has about 10-15 flavors on rotation as well as their own ice cream sandwiches for you to choose from. While not the largest selection, what they do have is excellent. The ice cream seems to be homemade so you definitely get the quality. Tried the spumoni and it didn't disappoint. There were bits of chocolate and cherry mixed into the ice cream. The black truffle raspberry is my absolute favorite - it's the only flavor I get when I come. They also have soft serve, including pistachio, which is a favorite of the rest of my family. Their ice cream cakes are the other reason i come. They can custom make the cake or they have premade ones. Way better than carvel and worth the extra trip for me to pick up a cake. Since this was my first time here, I listened to the recommendation of the staff and the hard ice cream won by a majority. What caught me by surprise was that Marshall's puts physical pieces of chocolate in their shakes. The ice cream was 100x better than the ice cream you'd typically receive at places like Carvel and Baskin Robbins. Despite the fact that it was almost 10 PM the place was pretty crowded with people getting ice cream. It is a small place though. There's no seating you just go in get your ice cream, pay and leave. I got a small chocolate cup with peanut butter sauce. It was pretty good, I would say a touch better than Carvel for the soft serve. I will always love MORE peanut butter sauce but they didn't do badly with a peanut butter sauce to ice cream ratio. Overall I did like Marshall's and would recommend stopping in here. Looks like they offer more basic stuff but they're obviously really good because every time I pass there's people lining up to get some ice cream. read more
