I was dying for an Italian ice and since it's winter many of the local pizzerias didn't have any. My boyfriend came here and ordered me a rainbow. He said the service was excellent and that they offered a variety of cereals on countless ice cream options. When I ate the Italian ice I was so pleasantly surprised! Soo tasty and fresh and the cherry had actual cherrys inside!!! My new favorite place to go for an Italian ice. Soo happy to find this gem! read more

Visit Date: July 13, 2020 Hubs and I came here twice for Tuesday date nights that we were trying to do, which we can no longer do. I loved the ice cream I had here, I think the first time I got chocolate peanut butter and the second time I got campfire coffee with nutella and peanut butter sauce. Even though I'm a coffee freak I usually don't go for coffee ice cream but their campfire coffee flavor was great. On a whim I looked up an ice cream place nearby to take the kids and this came up as #1 on my search, and I see why. The staff is super friendly, very attentative as soon as you step foot in the door & the café itself is cute and can seat about 5/6 couples. This place is wonderful. Ice cream is delicious and the service is fast and efficient. Prices are very reasonable for gourmet desserts. Nice find on a hot summer day. Adventurous menu with ample flavor combinations. Compliment your sweet treat with fluffy waffle sticks that pack a crunch. YUUUUUUMMMMMMY!!! I got a medium 2 flavors: Mississippi Mud Pie and Peanut Butter Caramel Cookie Dough ice cream. Honestly, I ate it so fast I didn't even think about taking a picture. LOL. A great find on the border of Wantagh and Bellmore! This ice cream shop is a hit with tons of flavors and sundae options to choose from. You can get shakes, sundaes, cookie or brownie sundaes and of course, cones! We got a cookie sundae with the campfire s'mores ice cream and a cookies and cream shake; both delicious!! So in love with this place! Ice cream is delicious and they have flavors that you can't find anywhere else in the area. Everytime i leave, i can't wait to come back. To top it all off, the prices are very reasonable and the staff are so friendly. Great for kids! The staff was so nice. She let me try whichever flavors I wanted (trust me, there were many)!!! The owner of the place, Joe, is absolutely wonderful to his customers and staff. Taste: The ice cream was exactly the right level of sweetness and creaminess. The ice cream is nice and thick. The ones I liked most were the salted caramel with chocolate truffle, and the s'mores! The caramel one was full of mini chocolate truffles! Once you bit into it, rich caramel oozed out. You could tell the s'mores was a fan favorite, because the whole gallon of ice cream was empty after our order. The mango water ice was also full of flavor. It tasted like a sweet refreshing mango! Great little local ice cream parlor. Clean place, parking out back... a few tables to sit at and enjoy your ice cream. They also have Italian ices here. I had the peanut butter pie ice cream in a Cup and it was delicious. I also tried the apple pie which had a nice cinnamon flavor and the s'mores, which was heavenly. A good sized medium cup was $4.50 and well worth it. Deduct a star because the ice cream isn't made on site, but other than that it blows the local carvel out of the water. We stopped in for ice cream after a day out in the sun. They have a couple tables with some chairs inside. There were a lot of flavors (maybe around thirty). Many of the flavors had Maine inspired names. I think it might have been Gifford's famous ice cream but I'm not completely sure. We had a peanut butter ice cream which was rich and creamy. read more

Not sure if it's new management or same from last year, but it's open. Went in for ice cream but got gelato and an espresso shot. The espresso was was pretty good. The gelato was more like ice cream. We're not in Italy soooo, can't expect house made gelato, but this was all right. I wouldn't get the gelato again, but I like this place. Want ice cream with a lot of flavors right next door? Scoops and Cones is open again, I believe new owners. They offer a good amount of seating inside and out. A good selection of gelato including rainbow cookie & a great selection of ice cream. My husband was happy bc they have like 4 different types of ice cream that include peanut butter. I saw some sugar free and an expresso bar. One of the owners came out with 2 balloons for my girls (5 yrs old) and offered to even hold our dog while we went in, which I thought was very nice. We had 3 different flavors between us and they were all a hit!!! read more
