Grilled Steak Chimichanga

Food 20/10 Ambiance: Perfectly unique Service: Fantastic!! My boyfriend and I went to Bongo Burrito on a Saturday night at around 7, we didn't make a reservation. We sat at the bar and got a drink while we waited. The bartender was friendly and one of the owners, Joe greeted as soon as we walked in. He knew my boyfriend from high school. Soon enough, we were sat at a cool picnic style table which could probably fit 6-8 people! I forgot our server's name but she was very sweet! I got a watermelon margarita and the drinks were definitely generous to us! The atmosphere is really unique and interesting. Spacious, and not too loud. For those who read my reviews you know I'm a salsa girl! Chips & Salsa: Nice kick in the flavor, not too chunky, not too loose. Delicious!! They also had bottled sauces on the table. The Mango Habanero was a favorite of the two, they also had Green Habanero which was good as well! Appetizer: I was excited to try the Mexi Mac N' Cheese. The ghost pepper cheddar sauce was NIIIICEEE and the chorizo and peppers gave it an awesome flavor. Meals: I ordered the Birria Quesadilla which came in the best plate I've ever seen. I'm definitely a "dipper" so it was great to get a side of pico, guacamole and sour cream. The consommé was superb! The quesadilla itself wasn't overpowered by either meat or cheese. Really nice balance - which is key to an amazing quesadilla, like this one. My boyfriend got Kandi's Chimichanga and when I say it's huge I mean it's HUGE! I tried and liked it a lot. He ate as much as he could and was more than satisfied. The boom boom sauce was insane also. I loved the outside area. I can't wait to visit again and try the coconut shrimp appetizer and much more! Awesome spot. Definitely will be recommending this place.

I was really hoping this place would be good because the aesthetic is so perfect. Food was a 1/10 for me. They start with free chips and salsa. The salsa was not good. Also got a side of guac, which also was not good. There was no flavor. I had the Carne Asada tacos as my entrée which again was not good there was more guacamole in the taco than there was actually meat. If you are looking for authentic tacos this is not the place. However, if you just want drinks with a cool vibe this is the spot.

I liked Bongo but thought it could be a little better from our experience, it was just average. We sat at a high-top a little after 4pm on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. My friend and I came to celebrate her birthday. We ordered drinks, a quesadilla to split, and shared the chips and salsa given upon arrival. My friend ordered a Pina colada which she said was fine, nothing to write home about. I ordered the sotally tober. It was mid. No real heat even though there were plenty of pepper seeds throughout and very weak I didn't taste a single drop of alcohol. The Mexican street shrimp quesadilla was good. The shrimp were large and cooked nicely not too overcooked like most places. And I loved the salsa that came with the chips when we first sat down. Service was pretty good. There were many people working during a slow time of day so we got a lot of attention which was nice. I just wish the drinks were better.

Food was okay... definitely not authentic Mexican food. But the service was very nice and the decor super cute! We also had the virgin mango mojitos & those were good! The churros tho were AMAZING , I'd come back just for the churros & cappuccino alone

Super cute vibes here. I love the decor! I was planning on coming here anyway but I saw the yuca fries with corn queso posted on Instagram as a special for the week and knew right off the bat I was starting with those and they did not disappoint! They were very flavorful and enough to split. We also got the fried banana pepper rings-they we're ok but def coulda used a dipping sauce rather than a measly drizzle. I got the spicy gringo sandwich which was anything but spicy and slightly over cooked but still good and we also split the stuffed churro which was excellent. For drinks I got the coconut margarita and the spicy margarita-both were weak and just pure sugar, made me sick later in the night. Our waiter was super friendly and the prices were reasonable. I would come again and try different things.

My mom and I came here on a Saturday night to grab some drinks and food. We were not disappointed. We ordered margaritas. I got the watermelon one and it was very tasty. We also ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla and some chicken tostadas. Everything is so delicious including both chips and salsa. Additionally, we sat outside and it was such a lovely night. The decor inside and out is really something to look at.

My friend and I were so excited to try this new spot for lunch. Firstly, the place is absolutely beautiful with such great decor inside. It reminds me of the rainforest cafe on vacation. We were greeted by almost the entire staff - they were all so friendly and welcoming. We started with some delicious cocktails and appetizers- the coconut shrimp app had a cool presentation and was tasty. We had guac and chips and shared a few tacos that were delicious and fresh. We ended with churros which were the best churros I've had in a LONG time!! They were stuffed with a cream that was out of this world, so definitely save room for dessert :) Can't wait to come back and try other menu items!

The vibe here is literally tropical vacation and I love it! There's open front windows, a nice bar and a whole outside seating area in the back filled with decorations. The food was incredible, like super delicious and came out really quick. So if you're hungry the service is perfect for you! Some of the dishes that came out had such awesome presentation. If you're looking for a great drink menu they got it all too. You're really gonna love the names on some of the food and drink items too. Nothing like getting a good laugh while you give your order. The only issues I have with this new location is it's small so if it's busy you're gonna be waiting and no reservations. That's a huge kick in the knees because you can't even plan ahead to at least ensure that if you wanna go in you'll make it. But needless to say if you do make it inside you will be leaving happy and full!

Such a cute environment! Sat outside twice, fun inside also. I had the ribs, my friend had the crunch wrap, and my husband had the Auna taco. They were all amazing.

Stop what you're doing. Drop everything. And run to Bongo Burrito in Seaford. This is Seaford's newest taco/burrito spot and it brought the heat! "How could they possibly compete with Dirty Taco?", you may ask. Here's how: The ambiance. In a word- FUN. Love the monkey/rain forest theme. It's not such a big space but they have two different outdoor options. I can tell this place is going to be very popular and the outdoor space will be well appreciated. My husband, 1.5 year old son and I came in for some Friday afternoon tacos. Our expectations weren't too high but we were very surprised by how fresh and delicious the food was. We started with the guacamole which was chunky and not too spicy. They also give chips and salsa as soon as you sit. The salsa was different but out of this world. I've never had salsa so smooth. We had the cauliflower tacos and they were phenomenal!! Next time we'll try the sweet potato ones. Our hostess was Hope and she was the sweetest. It's great to be greeted by such friendly staff. Everyone seemed very happy to work there. Our waiter was Connor. Even my husband commented on what a great server he was. Attentive, kind, and ok with a baby continuously waving each time he passed our table. I'm SO glad this place hit because Seaford needed a low key, hip taco/burrito spot. Definitely worth a trip!

Enjoying some very good drinks at the bar.

I heard about this place which just opened a couple of months ago, and had to try their food and drinks for myself. Fried avocado...delicious. Al pastor and carne smack that asada tacos...delicious. dessert affagato...yes,delicious We ate by the bar...cool bartenders, offered good drink suggestions. Love the way the place is decorated, a very fun vibe. Prices are reasonable by todays standards. This place will be successful!

Such an underrated gem in Seaford. They have both a nice patio in the back decorated to give all the island vibes as well seating out front on the street side, and of course indoor availability. Service was very personable and quick from drinks through the end of the meal. They certainly don't skimp on the variety of options food wise from starters, quesadillas, tacos to wraps etc. Drink wise I went with the "Mammacita Needs A Margarita" aka a Spicy Marg. Loved the addition of cucumber to the drink to balance it and give it a little refreshing aspect. Food wise we just got a smattering of tacos (Luger, Tropical Lobstahhh, Birria, Al Pastor, Carne Smack Dat Asad and the Cali-Flower) just to try and sample a little of everything. First and foremost, the portions are legit - they don't skimp out so you'll be full or even have extra to take home. Taste wise, my top 3 were the Luger, Lobster and Cali-Flower. All very flavorful and unique in their own way. Definitely will be back once the weather heats up!

We showed up a week ago with a group of 8, no reservation, because they don't give them. It's first come first serve. The staff pulled out a Hail Mary and set us up out in the back deck. Let's start with the drinks. We all tried different ones (even the kids got some of the Coca Cola from Mexico) the adult drinks were great, my wife's mamacita margarita was the big winner. Food wise, we ordered apps like loaded nachos, fried banana rings and fried avocado. Everything was delicious, with large portions and quick service. Dinner, again, a mixed bag of entrees were ordered and everything was amazing. I got the surf and turf, it was really different and tasty. We def recommend this restaurant!

Good food--had it delivered and was on time and fresh. A bit pricey but nice for a treat! Located by the movie theater so that's convenient.

I knew it had to be good and I was right. Cute interior, casual, pretty small so I am sure they have a high volume operation going on. It was a cold day, so no outside seating, obviously, but I'd love to come back and sit outside on a nice day. There's something about warm weather, tacos and cold margs that's super appealing, isn't there? I'd heard their vegan tacos were excellent and I was happy to see a wide selection of them. I tried the vegan chorizo as well as the Impossi-taco. Listen, there's no contest here. If looking for a meaty type of taco, go with the vegan chorizo (I believe it's housemade). I'm a spice-loving gal and it didn't seem spicy at all to me but I do realize there are people out there that might think it's spicy so that's a caveat. It's top tier, however, and the impossible was just something I can make at home (with a lot more spice-- it's lacking that here). I also ordered the black beans and rice, but I wouldn't order it again, as it was a small ramekin and I was too full to eat it anyway. Next time, guac, I'm coming for you. The sampling on my impossi-taco had me full of regret that I didn't get more of it! If you like sweet sangria, they've got you here. I didn't love it, way too sweet for me. I'll definitely try their other cocktails next time. Now, for the service. Gina is a rockstar! I see her name mentioned in reviews and you know when you see a name in reviews, that person is exceptional. Loved her. Actually everyone in here is so nice. It's refreshing.

Cold, silent, and forgotten--but at least the soup had soul."…read more I wanted to love Escorzas. My fiancé and I used to recommend it to friends and family. But after this past Sunday's visit, that chapter is closed. Let's start with the positives, because they exist. The tortilla soup was genuinely very good--rich, comforting, properly garnished. And the steamed clams? Surprisingly good, fresh and briny in a light broth and with white beans that hinted at real care in the kitchen. If the meal had ended there, I might have walked away conflicted rather than angry. But the rest was a masterclass in neglect. We arrived at 1:30 pm--an hour and a half after opening--and found the place completely empty. No music. No warmth, literally: it was freezing inside. The bartender doubled as host, and once he realized we weren't ordering cocktails, his interest evaporated. No greeting beyond the bare minimum. Nothing. Twenty minutes later, another group walked in. They were seated at the bar. Suddenly, miraculously, the music came on. And their food arrived before ours, even though we had ordered well ahead. Our appetizers? A long, silent wait. The free tortillas that came out initially were never refreshed, even as we sat hungry while waiting. No water refills. No offer of hot sauce. No check-in, no smile, no "how's everything?"--just the sound of our own frustration echoing off the empty walls. When the fajitas finally appeared (late, with no sense of urgency), they were fine--but by then, we had stopped caring. We ate quickly, paid our $70+ bill, and I reluctantly left a $10 tip, which felt more like charity than gratitude. To add insult to injury, we forgot our doggy bag with leftover steak and veggies from the fajitas. I'm not sure the staff would have noticed or cared if we'd left a suitcase behind. My fiancé has officially crossed Escorzas off her favorites list. So have I. A kitchen that turns out good soup and clams deserves a front-of-house team that matches that effort. Instead, we got silence, cold air, and the unmistakable feeling that we were invisible--until it was time to pay. Verdict: Come for the tortilla soup. Leave before you order anything else. And bring a jacket.
