Everything about it feels personal, not rushed or corporate at all.I usually get their iced caramel macchiato with coconut and it never misses. The coffee is delicious I have no complaints 10/10 every time I visit. You can tell they really care about what they're making.They use organic blends which makes it feel even better knowing what you're drinking. On my way to my neice's school fundraising car wash this past Saturday I stopped in to grab a coffee. Didn't really have any expectations however the young lady made me an exceptional cappuccino with oat milk and a pump of caramel. I couldn't stop raving to my daughter how good it was! Rivers Cafe is a gem in the neighborhood and I'm glad that Abby has a great coffee shop in New Hyde Park. I will say it is a bit pricier than expected for the area (Manhattan prices in NHP) but it is good quality stuff. However, I would spend a couple more dollars on this place vs. Dunkin' a couple blocks away. All in all, love this place's coffee :). read more

Needing a caffeine fix, I stopped in at Rivers for some coffee. They have a pretty vast menu for a little spot, and I loved the homey feeling of the cafe. There was so much to peruse while I was waiting for my drinks. Having opened 7 months ago, RC has been doing pretty well despite the pandemic (said the barista). There are lots of sweet snack options, too, like cookies or homemade Oreo pie. I snagged a vanilla cookie, which hit the spot, especially when I dipped it in my coffee. Major bonus points for not charging for different coffee types. That's a rarity! The small size is indeed small, but that was ok for this given occasion. My matcha latte and dirty chai were tasty and made skillfully. If I was in the area more regularly, I'd love for this cafe to be my local spot! read more

Finally got to check this place out today!!! Outside and inside is such a cute setup with everything nicely on display and the door was wide open making us feel very welcomed into this cozy cafe. Very vast menu for such a small place with multiple flavors to add and plenty of dairy/nondairy options too! My son tried their strawberry lemonade and the pear juice as well. I had an iced caramel latte with skim milk which was fantastic 10/10! We took home two of their freshly made and packaged dessert treats which he's already been trying to devour all day. Main thing I noticed is the pricing here, extremely inexpensive for such great coffee!! I usually spend the same at my local Starbucks for half the items. Can't wait to try something new next time. The owner gets her coffee beans from her fathers farm, overseas , and the house blend is just so perfect , not bitter and not too sweet and incredibly smooth! So excited to share this sweet coffee spot I recently discovered! I'll be the first to admit that I'm a coffee snob (and proud)! For me, Dunkin Donuts tastes like dirty water and Starbucks is way too acidic (and overpriced). I saw this coffee place had great reviews & I thought I'd see what the hype was about. I went in & ordered a small coffee with half & half. The owner was there & explained the different types of coffee & explained the flavors. They had a few sweets, but nothing that really caught my eye. The coffee itself had a distinct roasted flavor, not acidic, and so delicious! It was Heaven! I could tell that they use good quality beans. The prices are great- 1.50 for a small- exactly what I needed. I bought a bag of ground coffee to go as well (10.99/bag). This is such a fantastic addition to Floral Park! After hearing about this place we had to check it out. We got an Americano, a matcha latte with oat milk, Carmel cookies and some coffee to take home. Everything was so delicious. I especially loved the tea latte because it wasn't sweet and the flavors had some depth. The cookies went perfectly with the latte. Rivers Cafe is literally the best coffee shop, ever! Abby and her staff go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. Abby is an excellent barista, all of the drinks are delicious, and she truly cares about her customers. The ability to call or text in orders has been livesaving when I have a sleeping baby in the car - they'll even bring your drinks out to you! This has been the coffee shop I needed in my life! Arguably the best coffee I've ever had in a cafe in America......1000/10! Having ventured in other cafes as well as being a daily Starbucks customer, I think I may have to break-up with them now I've found my new love haha. Seriously though, the owner is super hospitable and takes a lot of pride in her business, you can taste it in the coffee. I think they personally grow and procure their own coffee and teas which is the first place I ever heard of doing so. The prices are so inexpensive for the quality you're receiving. We ordered a iced machiatto and iced chai (with espresso) as well as a slice of the tres leches cake (which was the best I've had, absolutely divine!). The location is a grab-n-go without seating and space-wise it's smaller than average but a pleasure to visit nonetheless. They have a rewards card too. The woman who made my coffee, I think it was the owner, was sooo sweet and had great customer service skills! She even gave me a quarter to put in the meter so I wouldn't get a ticket.
