First off, I will say that getting there can be a little confusing if you've never been before…read more Since it's near the train station, the street you have to turn down looks more like a shopping area, so it kind of throws you off and doesn't immediately seem like the correct turn. Other than that little bit of confusion, everything else was good. Because the hospital and several doctor's offices are nearby, you'll notice a lot of hospital workers and people in scrubs coming in for breakfast and lunch, which is always a good sign. Walking in, we were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we wanted. The service was good, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a diner classic diner ambiance and casual vibes. The food was definitely yummy overall. I had the eggs over medium with corned beef hash and home fries, and that was really good. My partner had the bacon omelet, and he said the quality of the bacon was really good and that they were generous with the amount they put inside the omelet. He also ordered french fries, which he wasn't really a fan of. They had a thicker consistency and didn't have much flavor, but they weren't terrible either. One disappointment was finding out they no longer serve waffles, because I was definitely looking forward to a Belgian waffle. We ended up getting pancakes instead, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. The pancake was kind of weird it didn't absorb the syrup at all, and the syrup itself tasted watered down. I'd say stick to the main breakfast items and you'll be perfectly fine.

Susan's Kitchen is located in an office building, made it a little hard to find, in my opinion. So I walked and sat down at the table where he had pointed. Turned out to be a sticky table that had been hastily "cleaned." Three separate wait staff walked by me repeatedly. No waiter seemed to be assigned to my table, as no one looked at me, much less greeted me. The only person who noticed that I was an actual live human being was the support staff (busboy? bus-man?) who brought me a glass of water. Other than that, I sat. And I sat. And I sat. And I SAT. NO MENU was ever brought to me, and no person acknowledged that I existed. Ten, twelve minutes went by and I said to myself, if this goes on any longer, I am just going to have to leave. I mean, what the hell? So I did. I left - and trust me, I will NEVER, EVER go back. The place is obviously run by people who do not understand CUSTOMER SERVICE. Disgusting. (And to the person who wrote a review saying that she thought they treated her badly because she was not Caucasian, I can tell her that I am Caucasian and I was treated the same way she was.)
