    The best cuppacino ever!
    Joan M.

The food looked great but had no taste. Eggs none, omelet none, Eggs Florentine-only the spinache tasted good beacuse it was fresh. Hollendaise sauce had zero taste?????????????? However, the cuppacino was the best I ever tasted!

It's kind of a 3 and 1/2 . I ordered my favorite salad- strawberry fields to go. The strawberries, lettuce, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, romaine lettuce all fresh and beautiful. The " toasted almonds" were all literally burned black, half to fully black. And because they were so badly burned, they were bitter. Ruined the entire salad. Because I usually enjoy this restaurant, I wanted to give it a 4, but those bitter burned almonds in every mouthful changed my mind. Will I go again? Yes. Will I order same salad again? Yes. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence

A classic diner with great breakfast options served in an expedited fashion. We were seated in a booth and the seats were comfy. The order was taken, cuisine delivered to be savored. The staff walked around to refill coffee and hot water.

I come here often, there is some consistency with the food, but overall it's okay. Service is fast when I come after 10am

Food was good. Waitresses was nice but not really knowledgeable on food choices. I had the vegetable omelette and home fries

Delicious breakfast platter with great home fries. The omelette was a bit salty but the pancake was delicious and decadent. Fast service and a very nostalgic atmosphere.

I have a thousand reasons spanning over 50 years and a few owns why Omega is my standard for American Diners from I judge all other diners. I've been eating here since the early 1970's with family, friends, and by myself. Many magical moments happened and throughout it all, the food, the staff, the atmosphere have always been like home. I decided to share this experience with my brother's best friend. Remember my brother passed on Labor Day. Since then his best friend I have been meeting every weekend for lunch or brunch in a number of spots he and my brother frequented, like The Great Neck Diner. Today I decided to go Greek. I got the Spinach Pie special with comes with a wonderful Greek salad and soup. Both were flavorful, Rich and had creamy sauce. Several hours later I can still taste the buttery blend. I finished with a recommended Neapolitan desert. Wow. I had to get directions how to approach it and it was amazing. If it's the Omega in new Hyde park or any Greek family diner, I strongly recommend exploring the family recipes the American Dine may offer.

Glass half full, Chocolate Egg Cream. Delicious.

Quick dinner visit at Omega, party of 3. Food was good: Chocolate Egg Cream, Cheese Blintzes with Blueberries, triple decker egg salad and bacon sandwich, Coffee, Belgian Waffle. Service was ok, the waiter was not friendly. NYC Diner, noise was moderate, we were able to finish watching the game.

Wanted vegan options and I find that they don't offer that. Service was way under par. I had to do a lot of waiting for my waitress to bring more stuff and she took her time . The ambiance was dimly light, this facility was in very crowded today and rather loud. My burger was OKAY, just plain and ordinary, nothing to write home about.

Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. From family gatherings and office parties to intimate date nights, The Harrison offers an ambiance and menu designed to satisfy both the casual diner and the most discerning palate.

After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

The bartender, Rich, on 05/16/26 was being a nasty, rude, and not to mention, snarky toward me…read morewhen he said to me that I have to pay for the seltzer. He said it in a nasty and sarcastic tone the way my father would talk down at me, sometimes. Regardless, if paying for the seltzer was required, I would happily pay; but the fact that this guy was disrespectful about it was unwarranted. He reminds me of my dysfunctional parents when they get in their freaking moods. He also told me that there was a two-drink policy when there's a live band and also told me that if more people are coming to the bar, he would have me move. Basically, he was being unwelcoming and wanted to tell me (but couldn't since he was on the job) "fuck you asshole, you're not welcome at the bar". He didn't actually say that but those were the vibes I got from him. That kind of rude impression from him was just unwarranted. Now, I don't know what made me tip him $6. Maybe I wanted to be the better person in that situation since he was being a total asshole..and maybe I don't want him breathing down my neck about the service. He's a real jerkoff. Next time he does that with me again, I'm not going to be nice about it. He was lucky I kept my cool and chose to remain respectful instead of sink to his dysfunctional level that would remind me of my dysfunctional parents (not to mention, my entire dysfunctional family). So this one really stuck with me in the worst way possible because of bad experiences with my family (which would make more sense). That guy needs to be very careful with how he treats people. He will come across somebody who will be a lot nastier and impatient than him and he will get absolute karma for his rude behavior. He has a job. Therefore, he needs to show some professionalism (I don't mind informalities from employees, as long as they're being friendly people). The waiter I had, Marian H, was more professional and pleasant with me than Rich, the bartender, on May 16th, 2026.

It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities.
