    The best cuppacino ever!
    Joan M.

The food looked great but had no taste. Eggs none, omelet none, Eggs Florentine-only the spinache tasted good beacuse it was fresh. Hollendaise sauce had zero taste?????????????? However, the cuppacino was the best I ever tasted!

A classic diner with great breakfast options served in an expedited fashion. We were seated in a booth and the seats were comfy. The order was taken, cuisine delivered to be savored. The staff walked around to refill coffee and hot water.

Omega has been a community staple for as long as I can remember. This past weekend, we were craving an old-school diner meal. I went with a classic bacon cheeseburger and was not disappointed. My husband tried the Delancy, and we both loved it--definitely planning to get that next time. The kids enjoyed their meals too. I was so hungry I didn't take many pictures, but the food is always consistent and the service is on point. Always a reliable spot for a great diner meal!

$18 dollar snack combo! Lettuce not on menu and we did not want it so we sent it back.

It's kind of a 3 and 1/2 . I ordered my favorite salad- strawberry fields to go. The strawberries, lettuce, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, romaine lettuce all fresh and beautiful. The " toasted almonds" were all literally burned black, half to fully black. And because they were so badly burned, they were bitter. Ruined the entire salad. Because I usually enjoy this restaurant, I wanted to give it a 4, but those bitter burned almonds in every mouthful changed my mind. Will I go again? Yes. Will I order same salad again? Yes. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence

I come here often, there is some consistency with the food, but overall it's okay. Service is fast when I come after 10am

I have a thousand reasons spanning over 50 years and a few owns why Omega is my standard for American Diners from I judge all other diners. I've been eating here since the early 1970's with family, friends, and by myself. Many magical moments happened and throughout it all, the food, the staff, the atmosphere have always been like home. I decided to share this experience with my brother's best friend. Remember my brother passed on Labor Day. Since then his best friend I have been meeting every weekend for lunch or brunch in a number of spots he and my brother frequented, like The Great Neck Diner. Today I decided to go Greek. I got the Spinach Pie special with comes with a wonderful Greek salad and soup. Both were flavorful, Rich and had creamy sauce. Several hours later I can still taste the buttery blend. I finished with a recommended Neapolitan desert. Wow. I had to get directions how to approach it and it was amazing. If it's the Omega in new Hyde park or any Greek family diner, I strongly recommend exploring the family recipes the American Dine may offer.

Delicious breakfast platter with great home fries. The omelette was a bit salty but the pancake was delicious and decadent. Fast service and a very nostalgic atmosphere.

Wanted vegan options and I find that they don't offer that. Service was way under par. I had to do a lot of waiting for my waitress to bring more stuff and she took her time . The ambiance was dimly light, this facility was in very crowded today and rather loud. My burger was OKAY, just plain and ordinary, nothing to write home about.

The interior gives that nostalgic retro diner feel. On a Saturday afternoon, our wait was about 25-30 mins, but it flew by quickly. Thomas's is beyond generous with their portions from the egg skillets to the pancakes. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions. And most importantly, everything here is absolutely delicious. My fiance & I ordered two orders of the blueberry pancakes, which was a mistake because of how MASSIVE each order was; we could've easily split one. We also ordered the sides of corned beef hash and ham steak. Highly highly recommend both. The corned beef hash is SO delicious & homemade, and the ham steak is huge! The staff here are really lovely and attentive. Our coffee cups never went empty. Parking is available on site, but incredibly difficult to get a spot. I wouldn't bet on parking here - be prepared to park elsewhere and walk over. Definitely our new go to diner spot!

The Irish breakfast came with blood sausage, toast, eggs, beans and ham and tomatoes, it was very filling and flavor packed! Prices were very reasonable, and for that, when I'm in the area again I would definitely stop back in for a hearty meal.

Sometimes it's really good, and other times it's like they forgot to season anything. But also now, on our most recent visit, we noticed the portions seemed to have gotten smaller. The positives are that the interior is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated with high ceilings. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside, where there's even a putting green to enjoy while you wait for your food or after you're finished eating. The waitstaff has always been friendly and happy to offer recommendations. Over the years, we've tried quite a variety of their menu: pancakes, several burgers, the biscuit benedict, the Shegg sandwich, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, fried pickles, and more. So what's been inconsistent? How do you serve unseasoned ground beef? It's not pleasant. Have you ever had breakfast sausage with almost no seasoning? We have--and it was here. What about the portion sizes? Just compare my photos of the fried pickles from different visits, and they'll tell the story (the outside one was the most recent). Or if you've ordered a Bloody Mary recently, you might be wondering what happened to the mountain of slaw that used to come with it. The Shed isn't a cheap restaurant, so with the premium prices, I'd expect a lot more consistency when it comes to the food.

Folks, iam not cheap or watch how much I spend when we go out to eat but I refuse to be taken advantage off of what I get charged. THe mushroom omelet was charged for every thing that they put in .I was charged individually for the peppers ,mushrooms and what ever else they put in .the western omelet was not and had the amount of ingredients as the mushroom.ftom $12.95 the amount increased $5 more.why? The hash browns were also very expensive and the two strawberries on the waffle were $7.the Nutella swirling was also a $7 charge. Like I previously mentioned iam not cheap at all.but when I have seen the bill of $109.00 itpissedme off and I felt that I was raped.yes i know everything has increased and I know what the manager is going to say when they see this review. Shame shame shame on them they are truly ripping customers off.we will not ever go back to this establishment again and I will make sure I will inform my family and freinds.they are many dinners in the area to go to.
