Holy smokes! What a gem! I've been craving a fruit pie and my sweetheart of a husband brought me here this morning. Not only was I able to score the most scrumptious tart cherry crumb pie, but we also got some organic beets, the best sourdough (says my teenager) and the juiciest tomatoes! With the hospitality, and the cute vibes, I could have hung out there all day. The people working there are so kind and eager to help. This truly is a special place. I don't usually give in to my sweet cravings, but I'm glad I came and tried this place. I can't wait to come back and try other goodies. I've been to Young's on various occasions and this time was as pleasurable as the others. Some staples of mine are the buttercream cupcakes, sweet potato and blueberry biscuits. They also have an array of fresh vegetables, bakery, coffee sections and arts and crafts. Both biscuit variants were freshly baked and very palatable. This is in my top 5 Long Island businesses, truly. For such a quaint place they have insane variety of not just prepared food and sweets but produce, spices, home goods, etc. Everything sold from Young's is so fresh and full of LOVE. The staff is so helpful and I'm impressed with their abilities to handle large influxes of customers at once. Recommendations: ANY of their soups but especially their chicken and rice (it's almost like pot pie filling) as well as their tomato, peach + raspberry pie, their heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, thin chocolate chip cookies, any of their breads (sweet or savory). Wow, Just wow! I get migraines from almost all food additives and have been baking and cooking for myself from scratch since I was a teenager to be able to enjoy homemade versions of conventional treats and this place is one of the only spots I can truly say is like homemade everything. It's incredible. The pies, the soups, the loafs, the pies, the breads, the COOKIES.... just wow. I appreciate this place so much! If you like a chewy brownie those chewy chocolate chip cookies are going to be a fav for you. The butter cookies are also soooo good! And the carrot loaf! Honestly anything you get is going to be great. And the plus is the adorable house decor, stuffed animals, hand made toiletries, and grocery items. So many lovely gift options. Pie was significantly on the tart side with nearly no sweetness. A very interesting style of pie as I'm accustomed to the overly sweet commercial ones. It had an organic naturalness to it. They have a good variety of baked breads, pies, loaves, etc. If you're looking for something in particular, they should have it or something close to it. Rainy day and festivals are getting rained out. This is about 30 minutes away and decided to take a drive over. They're literally 5 minutes off a major intersection. Beautiful farm, lots of vegetables, jams and baked goods. Ended up getting some soups, cheese and other delicious treats. Cute Knick knacks and seasonal decorations. Everyone was so friendly and nice. We'll be back for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Only knock is they are a little pricy. read more

Made a pit stop for some dessert after having delicious bbq at Stuey's. There sign said pies so we needed to try! Plenty of staff in the barnhouse-like store that wete all friendly (especially the adorable grnadma's in aprons behind the baked goods section. Asked for their two most popular pies - peach and dark cherry. We got the 18" dark cherry, took it outside to a bench and immediately dug in. I personally do not like cherry flavored anything except the fruit itself. Their pie though - Yum yummy in my tummy! The crust was just the right amount of flakiness, cherry flavor didn't taste like medicine, and sweetness level just right. I did not get to try the peach but I'd definitely return for the cherry! read more

It's that time of year again where I'm craving pies and I found Youngs Farm on Yelp so why not go there today for some!? This is a country style bakery/ farm located right off Northern Blvd onto Cedar Swamp Road. It was pretty busy here around 1 on a Sunday, which is expected. The store is separated into 3 sections-fruits & vegetables, bread, soup & refrigerated items and the bakery for baked goods, candies, coffee & jams. They also sell Halloween & farmhouse/ country decor items, kitchen accessories and wicker baskets all throughout the store. My favorite was the bakery-they had literally every kind of baked goods even sugar free and gluten free cakes as well as a variety of pies, muffins, biscuits, cookies & more. They don't sell by the slice, only whole pies either 8" or 9". I got a pecan and pumpkin pie, sweet potato biscuits, thin chocolate chip cookies, corn chowder and topped it off with a wooden pumpkin (for my son). I have to say, the staff weren't very friendly and the food wasn't as good as I thought. The pecan pie crust was super thick (country style?)- chewy & inedible, both pies tasted decent but definitely not the best I've had. The corn chowder was watery and bland. Sorry but Wawa corn chowder tastes better. The cookies & biscuits were okay. Also, small selection of peaches and apples (no white peaches and honey crisp apples). No milk either, just eggs, creamer, and apple cider (no donuts). The pies are worth trying though. read more

Tucked away on Hegemans Lane is the cutest Young's Farm. The staff was so friendly. The produce is so fresh and vibrant. They're stocked with endless pies, soups, juices and other baked goods. This is a gem in the heart of Greenvale/Roslyn. When I walk into Young's, I feel like I'm out east - it's a taste of the North Fork conveniently located on the North Shore of Nassau County. I work nearby and always grab cookies/sweets for in office celebrations. The sugar cookies are always a massive hit (plus they're adorable). The brownies are also a crowd pleaser. We just wanted to take a drive out in LI on a beautiful day and the wife found Youngs Farm on yelp. Honestly we didn't expect much since we've been fooled by pictures before but I'm glad this place was beyond your expectations. The retail shop isn't huge but it's also not so cozy where you would feel cramped, especially under covid times. They have fresh baked goods, produce, eggs, kitchenware, and seasonal knick-knacks. Every product is thoughtfully placed throughout the store so you'd feel like you're browsing in a museum, except you actually get to buy the products. The staff was extremely friendly too. We saw a pretty demanding and imo rude customer but the staff handled it like a pro and with a smile, amazing! Can't wait to make our day back out to Youngs Farm to see what other seasonal goodies they have. PS - it'll help if you follow their IG page too! I come here on average about once or twice per week. Everything here is fresh and delicious. I love supporting a small locally owned business/farm as well. Their soups, pies, cookies, and vegetables are all some of the best quality foods you will find anywhere. Service is always quick and efficient. Young's farm is still as good as I remember it! Can't speak to the produce/market, but the bakery is delicious and competitively priced with spots nearby. We got two pies (peach and dark cherry) and a little bag of shortbread cookies. Both pies were yummy, but the dark cherry was my favorite. The pie was tart but sweet, yet not too sweet. The whole cherries bursted with flavor with each bite, and the crust was buttery and flaky but still stayed in tact when slicing. The cookies were also pretty delish, and I liked that they only have four ingredients. As far as covid protocols go, they have clear markers and someone working the door to let customers in and out. There were a few people waiting outside, but the line moved relatively quickly even on a busy Saturday morning. They apparently do curbside pickup in the back, which is a great option if you're able to call ahead! read more

Young's Farm has always been pricy but, was it was tolerable given that it is a place you shop because you want to, not because you have to. Sadly, it appears that Young's has succumbed to raise prices to "spread the wealth" among more family "partners". We have seen this happen before at several other local family establishments. When the next generation take charge, even the old high margins are no longer good enough for the next generation, so they feel entitled to raise prices even higher. Additionally, the Young's Farm staff has slowly morphed from a more experienced staff that was warm and friendly to one that is, let's say more detached and disengaged. A business with a must have product can survive with this lack luster customer service but, a business that does not have a unique product is susceptible to loosing customers at an alarming rate when they least expect it. Time will tell if the price increases can be sustained by these products that are good but not spectacular. Their baked goods are now well over several very well established bakeries in Glen Cove and Port Washington so the only reason for these price increase appears to be for the need to feed too many family "partners". For the sake of the old Young's Farms we all knew and loved we hope these folks don't cook their golden goose. read more

We stopped by because we needed a pie. Walked out with 2 - the tart cherry and the pumpkin pie. He tart cherry pie is amazing! The crust is flaky and airy and delicious. The tart cherry filling is enough to dream about. I love love love it. pumpkin pie will be eaten tomorrow. It's a very cute farmers market full of seasonal produce, soups, butters and baked goods. We loved the mini baguettes and the sourdough bread. We also got some veggies. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to linger as we made our selections. Prices are higher than at my local farm stand but on par for the area. We definitely enjoyed our stop there. Perhaps it's better for our wallets and waistlines that we don't live closer. I would have to get the tart cherry pie more often. read more
