The young lady informed me that the coffee might get cold by the time I arrived, but I told her I had no problem with that since I was already on my way. She proceeded to repeat my order back to me and said, 'Thank you, we'll see you soon. Have a good day.' I thanked her and hung up. We arrived at St. Rocco's Bakery within 15 minutes. I waited in a long line, and as soon as a young man assisted me, I informed him that I was picking up a phone order for Veronica. He went to the kitchen and came back saying, 'They are working on your order right now.' I said perfect, and asked to add an extra coffee. He went to get the coffees and then checked back in the kitchen for my order. He came back out and asked, 'Are you sure you called the right location? There are no orders under Veronica being made.' I took out my phone and showed him the 10:32 AM call. I asked if it was their number, and he confirmed it was. I explained that I called, placed the order, and had it repeated back to me. He looked shocked. The chef then came out and asked another counter employee if she had taken the order. She didn't speak a word and just kept staring at the chef without acknowledging me. I got extremely aggravated by the situation, especially because no one apologized and no one offered to quickly make my breakfast. So, I just left. The store is tiny and not much of a selection to choose from. I got an apple turnover which looked pretty good. The store was old looking and a bit rundown. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the apple turnover was yuk!! The crust was way to thick and did not taste good and the apples were not great tasting as well. I might go again but definitely would not get an apple turnover.

While waiting, I had a gluten-free multigrain bagel (toasted) with cream cheese. It was really good! I was pretty shocked because I expected it to taste like cardboard to be honest. Now the mousse cake. I held my breath as the birthday girl ate the first bite. She loved it! Guess what. I loved it too! There was a special deal they were also giving out two chocolate chip cookie thins for free. The thins were perfectly soft and chewy. Just enough saltiness to the sweet. The coconut layer cake had light fluffy layers like a cloud. It was just enough sweetness with layers of light creme and shredded coconut and toasted coconut on top. Service from the employees is usually good. They greet every person who enter the store saying welcome to the store. So always a great customer service experience.
