The place and the experience overall was wonderful, when you walk in, I was amazed at how clean and organized the bake shop was, all the cookie varieties are labeled with full explanation, they usually change their cookies on every Thursday, they do offer cold brew drinks very good rewards program I was very impressed on how friendly everyone is and I was greeted and treated with kindness Raven. The manager is very exceptional. I never had a bad experience visiting the Merrick location

Great experience at Chip City in Merrick Long Island. The worker was welcoming and engaged in conversation which is always a plus. The amount of cookies were limited because we decided to pop in 25 minutes before closing. At that point establishments are not making fresh menu items. We ordered the 3/$14.50 cookie special which ended up being 3/$19 because we got 2 Rainbow cookie cookies which are "special cookies. I get it. The cookies were delicious! The flavor was perfect. Just the right amount of jelly. They were not as soft as we liked but we did show up before closing so that's on me. The chocolate chip was very good as well. Great cookie spot and I will Certainly be back.....Hopefully earlier in the day next time :)

Chip City is really opening up everywhere and I'm not mad about it!! I was craving a cookie and found that this Chip City was nearby so I decided to make a quick stop to fulfill my cravings. It's a cute little shop with a few seats inside but most people just order for take out. The staff member who helped me was really nice too, especially when I was being indecisive on which cookie to get. I love that Chip City rotates their cookies on a weekly basis so there's something new to try depending on your taste preferences for the week. I ended up getting the brookie cause I love a good classic cookie but also something rich in chocolate like a brownie. The brookie was actually a dairy free cookie. It was more of the brownie base than the cookie though so I did wish it was more balanced but still yummy. I've tried a good variety of their other cookie flavors in the past and have always enjoyed them. Thick chunky cookies with nice crispy outer edges but that gooey interior, my favorite type.

The box our 4 cookies came in - about 12 inches by 8 inches?

Sadly, my husband went there this morning and bought 4 mini sfogliatelle and 1 cannoli. Now, you should be able to trust that a bakery has fresh pastries. Well, not today...the sfogliatelle are stale! I would say not a day old. These are old, stale and should not have been sold. The cannoli was freshly filled and not stale but those sfogliatelle are a total disappointment. $14.00 thrown in the garbage. The only positive here is that I learned to never go back. A bakery selling old stale pastries isn't getting my business. Dortoni's and Leonetti's would never sell this to their customers. I'm insulted actually. You sold me an inferior product. When you go to a restaurant, is it okay for them to sell you yesterday's leftovers? Steer clear of this bakery. They do not care about their customers. You have a 50/50 chance of getting leftovers...not bakery fresh food.

Something about coffee cooked for a long period of time actually gives it that "rich smooth taste". I ordered their raspberry cheese cake. It was actually delicious but the portion was a bit smaller than what I was expecting. Atmosphere inside comfortable and active with new patrons walking in. I opted to sit outside which made me feel like I was in NYC at a ritzy Cafe next to Central Park. It was quieter and relaxing. *Parking lot is Huge and shared with other stores. Use exit number 3 for a traffic light to cross over Wantauh Avenue. *Bathrooms; are two and both co-ed. *Final thoughts Pardon my "FRENCH" but the French Workshop was just ok for me. They didnt have scoopable ice-cream on hand which would have been nice next to my cake and their coffee wasn't on par in regards to a "RICH BOLD TASTE". No free coffee refills, no porcelain cup, and no silverware. The only metal your going to get is the steel tray your desert comes on. Perhaps something to consider ? *The Review Guru Long Island NY

And they have a few vegan options! Don't expect macarons nor tarts, but that blueberry croissant I had was so delicious. It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).
