Saint Rocco's is a Glen Cove staple with everything you can imagine. From desserts to sandwiches, they have something for everyone. I wanted to try their sandwiches so I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich. It was so fresh and delicious, I highly recommend it. Aside from sandwiches, they have a large hot food section too. They have seating inside and a large patio outside with seating over the summer. They have tons of parking so that isn't an issue either. It's a great place to stop for lunch/dinner. read more

Great bakery - with "dine in" options, grab a cafe or latte and prepare to have you taste buds do a happy dance in your mouth. Wowza! A triple threat: bakery, pastry shoppe and lunch counter with sandwiches and hot dishes. We tried all three offerings and they were excellent - from the breads we chose a large, round peasant loaf, olive bread, and my favorite, a round prosciutto bread with just enough piggy. For pastries, a crisp cannolo, subtle and flaky cheese pocket, and a sfogliatelle. And a light sandwich of prosciutto, mozzarella, and eggplant, accompanied by an arancino, also proved delicious. We visited St Rocco's as a recommendation of my fellow Yelp elite friends Cathie and Joe P. They talked highly about the cannolis. The place was pretty impressive. They have outdoor and indoor seating. St.Rocco's is divided into two sections. The left side serving their breakfast and lunch items. The right side is the bakery where they offer lots of cakes, pastries and cookies as well as fresh baked breads. We got the St. Joseph's pastry and mini cannolis. For the St. Joseph's pastry you have an option of big or small as well as either cannoli cream or custard filling. I loved how light the pastry was. The custard cream was very light as well and just the right amount of sweetness. The cannolis were also very good. They had chocolate chips in them and they were indeed one of the best we had. Never knew of this bakery, tucked away in residential neighborhood. But it is very large with a lot of outdoor seating, not a lot of seating indoors. Be aware they only take CASH!! I was not aware. I live in CT and my late friend, Mike Petrella, used to bring me Italian and stuffed breads from St Rocco's. I could not wait to get into the bag, often eating some before I even got home. This is authentic crunchy Italian bread and the stuffed breads have just the right amount of ingredients, made the way my Grandmother used to make. Keep up the traditions. Been going to this bakery for years and love it. I order eggs occasionally... the first time they were not great. Did not follow my instructions. But I decided to try again. First off, they looked terrible and after one bite I knew something was off. They looked and tasted awful. Thank goodness I only had one bite and thew the rest out. I woke up with severe headache and stomach issue! Severe diarrhea!! Also... the staff seemed pretty miserable. The girl was extremely unfriendly and had a puss on her face the whole time. I waited on line of 15 minutes to place an order for Christmas. The girl asked me if I wanted to buy anything for today. I said yes while I wait. After I paid I turned around and the line was 12 people deep she said I would be next. After waiting again the girl taking the orders said I had to go to the back of the line. This is unacceptable. THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH for bread! I have been here in years and I am so happy I had the chance to return while I was in town. Their bread is by far the best bread I have ever had. There juniors bring back great memories for me....ate one with others as soon as I got back in the car! I also ordered a fantastic chocolate and raspberry mini cake. The raspberry filling was in the middle. The outside was a chocolate ganache and the inside was like a truffle.
