    Apple Danish
    Catherine M.

Cute little bakery in glencove , a bench outside to enjoy your coffee or a table with four chairs to enjoy coffee and breakfast . Good variety of crumb cakes , peach, plain, apple and more that I don't remember , apple Danish , apple turnover , iced French crullers , sugared twisted donuts and alot of really unique cookies , pies , lintzer tarts (did I spell that right ?) Coffee is serve yourself bar , nothing fancy , don't expect a Starbucks ! If you are like me and like cream and not milk I didn't see any cream on the counter , they only had milk out , personally I don't care cause dunkin donuts and Starbucks is 3 mins away . We ordered an italian bread , I am a total bread fanatic it's my weakness I will try a plain italian bread in any nice bakery and this one was SCRUMPTIOUS , we bought it in the morning and it's 3 pm and already gone , wish we bought 2 ! The apple turnover was very good as well , very unique crust , and not overbearingly sweet like alot of bakeries and tons of icing , yummy ! Also ordered a plain crumb cake that was very delightful and my daughter had some cookies that looked really good and I'm sure was delicious since she finished them all ! Very fresh baked goods and very friendly service , can't wait to go back and try more!

A croissant and a Boston creme filled yummy donut

Saint Rocco's is a Glen Cove staple with everything you can imagine. From desserts to sandwiches,…read morethey have something for everyone. I wanted to try their sandwiches so I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich. It was so fresh and delicious, I highly recommend it. Aside from sandwiches, they have a large hot food section too. They have seating inside and a large patio outside with seating over the summer. They have tons of parking so that isn't an issue either. It's a great place to stop for lunch/dinner.

If I could give zero stars to this location, I would. I was very disappointed. I have ordered…read morebreakfast here before without any issues, until now. On Sunday morning, we were heading over to Glen Cove, so I called at 10:32 AM to place an order. A young girl picked up the phone. I ordered two sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches, an eggs Benedict platter, two egg and cheese sandwiches, and a cup of coffee. The young lady informed me that the coffee might get cold by the time I arrived, but I told her I had no problem with that since I was already on my way. She proceeded to repeat my order back to me and said, 'Thank you, we'll see you soon. Have a good day.' I thanked her and hung up. We arrived at St. Rocco's Bakery within 15 minutes. I waited in a long line, and as soon as a young man assisted me, I informed him that I was picking up a phone order for Veronica. He went to the kitchen and came back saying, 'They are working on your order right now.' I said perfect, and asked to add an extra coffee. He went to get the coffees and then checked back in the kitchen for my order. He came back out and asked, 'Are you sure you called the right location? There are no orders under Veronica being made.' I took out my phone and showed him the 10:32 AM call. I asked if it was their number, and he confirmed it was. I explained that I called, placed the order, and had it repeated back to me. He looked shocked. The chef then came out and asked another counter employee if she had taken the order. She didn't speak a word and just kept staring at the chef without acknowledging me. I got extremely aggravated by the situation, especially because no one apologized and no one offered to quickly make my breakfast. So, I just left. Unfortunately, St. Rocco's Bakery has lost a customer, along with my whole family.

Yesterday we were driving home after eating in Glen Cove and we passed this cute little coffee…read moreshop. We decided to do a U turn and check it out. Man am I glad we did. The pastry counter was loaded with selections of beautiful cake slices, Cannoli, and pastries that represent probably 20 different countries around the globe..they also had an ice cream area and a bar so we will check that out next time. This location is in sea cliff long island but when you walk through it you'll feel like your on Los Olas Blvd or South Beach in Florida. It has an unbelievable vacation vibe..they have so many exotic coffee drinks and one was more beautiful than the next...toughest part of this experience is what to order..everything looked amazing..I got a milk cake and it was the best ive ever tried. Not overly sweet but fresh and delicious...ask for napkins milk comes out in every fork full..out of 5 stars I give it 10!!! Check out the artwork in this place when you go. Its amazing. You think the place is small but its not. We also met the owners and they were the nicest people so passionate about being the best for their guests..long Island needs more places and operators like this one. Worth the trip from anywhere in my opinion

Nice looking, extremely expensive, and low quality. That about sums it up…read more $45 for a sub par cappuccino and 3 small terrible tasting desserts is just absurd. It's just as expensive as Dominique Ansel in NYC but without the amazing ingredients and overall quality. The staff seemed nice though, so it pains me to leave this review, but I seriously feel like I got jerked, so I must... Cappuccino - Very bitter, strong to the point of tasting harsh, not enough milk. Peach mousse - Small, fake/artificial tasting peach filling, very unappetizing. Pistachio mousse - One dimensional, heavy thick consistency, fake tasting cheap pistachio flavoring. Sleeping grizzly bear - This was the best one but still not worth anything near the price tag. Vanilla mousse tasted ok, passion fruit center was ok but still tasted rather off putting. The coffee and all desserts except the bear were thrown in the garbage after a few bites. It was just inedible. What a waste of $45.
