Great AC! And pretty good coffee, actually. My Caesar salad was quite good, but had I known adding grilled chicken would be $12, I might not have added it! Nonetheless, clean and friendly. And bottomless coffee.

Amazing Mediterranean brunch spot! The shakshuka hit the spot, and the Rothschild's breakfast was just as delicious as it looked. Despite being super busy, the service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

It has a great atmosphere ,great food, and the waiter and waitress were amazingly respectful when my food came and there were stuff I didn't like on it they took it back with no problem at all food, atmosphere and service great =great place as an Israeli the food tasted perfect

The best restaurant in town! Nutritious and delicious! Comfortable environment and good service!

Falafel

I recently went for dinner with a small group of- it was the first time for all of us. I didn't have high expectations, but was very pleased with our meal and the service. The restaurant is on the small side (I suggest a reservation), but very attentive, and the bar area is very cute and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious, including my spicy cucumber margarita. To start we shared the falafel platter, large enough to be shared, and the fire roasted eggplant in a green herb tahini sauce (I think that's what it was) - tender and delicious! I had the special brussel sprout Cesar salad w/ added grilled chicken, and others ordered the salmon and enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert, but I'll definitely try something sweet next time!

Matcha lemonade and hummus with mushrooms

My partner and I enjoyed our weekday lunch at Rothchild. We had some of the best falafel we have had in this part of the state. The hummus with mushrooms, while seemingly simple, was also satisfying. I'd suggest splurging for the sweet potato fries, as well. Sleek feel. A teeny bit impersonal waiter, but that's ok for lunch. Robust menu. Lots to try. Pricey but on point for the type of establishment.

Oysters are a must get! Has a small kick and super flavorful.

Can't beat great food paired with even better service! This place is a must go whenever you are nearby and looking for some great southern cooking. The smokes meats were all moist, but lacks some of the deep smoke flavor. The Western Steak and Duck was by far the best bite I had this visit. Both dishes were tasty art on a plate. Carefully prepared and perfect temp. The peach cobbler was absolutely amazing finish to the meal. Definitely will come again!

Great service from Olga! Everything was delicious except for the fried cauliflower which was too mushy. I would recommend the beet salad and the bronzino.

I love this place!! They have some of the best gluten free bread I've had. The people are so nice and helpful and good about allergies! The gluten free bread is apparently imported from another country. I usually get a burger (salmon burger is my favorite) on the gluten free bread or avocado toast. The sweet potato fries are the perfect side! And if it's early in the day the turmeric latte with almond milk is a treat. Love coming here when I'm on Long Island!!

Pita bread

My boyfriend and I went there for our one year anniversary dinner. It was his first time trying authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, and Rothchilds did not disappoint! We ordered hummus with pita bread, a shakshouka, and the Syrian kebabs. Our meal also came with a complimentary side of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The shakshouka is only served in during brunch hours, but they were kind enough to still make us one when we requested it. The hummus was deliciously creamy and the pita bread was warm and fresh. Even though it was only an appetizer, my partner and I agreed that it was the best dish we've eaten there. The shakshouka was hot and tomatoey. And the Syrian kebabs were well-spiced and pair nicely with lentil rice and Israeli salad. Overall, the portions are huge so we left satisfied!

Shashuka

Really lovely spot to grab brunch or lunch. I had this place bookmarked for quite some time but planned my long run so that I can treat myself to a really nice meal after all those calories burned. And it was so worth it. The staff was so warm and welcoming the moment that I walked in to get a table outdoors--each and every one of them. I got the Shashuka and although I'd never had it before and wish there were some more spices that give it an extra kick, it was very delicious. Love that it was served in a cast iron skillet that was pippin hot--straight from the oven--when it was brought out. I don't remember if I actually finished it but got through a lot of it and I could still taste the tomatoes in my burps in the aftermath for a good hour! The bread and balsamic vinegar and oil that they served were also winners and were great complements to the Shashuka, otherwise I wouldn't have known if it was to be eaten by itself or with bread. Prices were very reasonable and not one menu item was $20, which is almost unheard of these days. I'll definitely be back for lunch soon!

Ask the Community - Rothchild's Kitchen

Do you still have shakshuka on your menu?

I was there today and they did have it on the menu.

Do they serve jachnun?

Yes on the weekends

Is there a parking lot?

There's no restaurant-owned parking lot. However during weekdays it's not hard to find parking spot on two sides of street. Even without street parking space, there's a district municipal parking two blocks away; a quarter for 30 minutes.

What time is breakfast served until on Saturday? Is the shakshuka available all day or just during breakfast hours?

Rothchilds yummy shakshuka is available until 4:00.

When will you be open past 4p?

Yes!

Their big bragging point is that they make fresh tapioca boba every single hour. That's huge. You can absolutely feel and taste the freshness, and it makes such a huge difference. After this, I don't know if I can go back to any other place. The owners were so wonderful to chat with and you can tell they're super passionate and care a lot. The kiosks were super easy to order through, and the staff was on hand to help if needed. The guy behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, and even offered me some samples of their cookies, which were fantastic. The branding is impeccable and the place is super clean and modern, which I absolutely love. There's plenty of space and it's really welcoming. Overall a really solid place and definitely going to be my go to for Boba!

With its self service ordering tablets that make ordering so much more convenient and easy to easy, and drinks made like I've never seen before. I came here on a Sunday and was very surprised to see coffee on the menu. Very unique combination that are also extremely customizable. You can choose what toppings you'd like, the amount of espresso shots you'd like in it, as well as the amount of pumps of syrup you'd like. Very unconventional to the other places I've been to. The combination of coffee and boba wasn't bad at all. I really enjoyed the texture of the boba, soft, chewy and bouncy. The coffee itself was a little watered down, but still pretty decent. There also have a large array of desserts to complement your beverage. I would say the prices here are pretty reasonable in comparison to other stores, as well as to the extend of the additional topping they add in. The service here was noteworthy. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Service was fast and efficient, and overall very pleasant. And while there are no seats here to sit at, the interior is very as you'd expect from any other boba shop. TLDR; good boba, decent drinks, reasonable prices, good service.

This Tous Les Jours location is on Great Neck Road in Great Neck Plaza, conveniently located by the Great Neck LIRR. When you first enter the bakery, you can see the display of organized labelled pastries and bread. The lighting is warm and the bakery is welcoming. I grabbed a tray, tongs, and a piece of parchment paper to put on top of the tray while I browsed the array of choices. I chose a Portuguese Egg Tart, also known as Pastel De Nata. My husband and I shared a croquette, garlic sausage block, and he had the spicy sausage. The Pastel De Nata was so flaky and crisp. Once I took the first bite, you can hear the crunch and the filling of creamy egg custard was so good. The garlic sausage block was really good as well. It was the perfect ratio of dough and sausage. The spicy sausage had pieces of jalapeno and the sausage was very good. The croquette was thick, crispy, and had a really good filling. I also got the Honey Lavender Matcha Latte, it was refreshing and creamy. Inside, there is plenty of seating options from tables to countertop seats. All the pastries were very yummy and not overly greasy. Everything that I've tried at Tous Les Jours have been really light and airy and you can't go wrong.
