A nicely tucked Starbucks store in Macys Manhasset. A compliment to an exhausting shopping experience for today. Despite the cold weather, I still went for their famous frap. Got the crumbled cookies flavor. As usual not a disappointing choice. The area is small but can accommodate plentiful coffee addicts. Due to its limited seating, stay as well is limited . Server is a moron here. It's about 2pm on a Thursday. There were 2 women working. One was a heavy set black lady and the other was a Spanish looking lady. The Spanish lady was lazy. She gave me my drink right after it exploded. It spilled over and the counter was drenched. She gave it to me anyway sticky and went and all. She only wiped it down after I asked her to. Will a self respecting employee even serve the drink in that condition? Her solution was to put it in a second cup. Now I have two cups and one lid. Obviously the lid can't cover both cup and the lid is still sticky. Now everytime I shake or stir my cup, the lid comes loose and the two cups aren't steady. I had to go back and wipe it down again. Is too much to ask that she make a new drink after having the first one explode? There was no sorry or anything either. Terrible barista. read more

Tucked away in the corner of Macy's in manhasset this small Starbucks doesn't disappoint. Convenient and with great ambiance. Clean, and well run, the baristas are very attentive. There is also a really cool outside sitting area which I would love to see more Starbucks have. The more I come here the more I appreciate the outdoor seating. This is as close as the feeling of a European café as I have been able to come here in manhasset. If your looking to take a little vacation in the middle of your day and hide away from the crowds come here. Not the worst place to bring friends or even a date in the summer to chart and sip a cup of joe. Also the outdoor are has this cool awning that's technically part of Macy's that I find beautiful. I went to this location this morning to grab some breakfast. I ordered a walnut loaf and a pink drink. The lady helping me did not know where the bread was and my drink took at least 15 minutes to be made. I was the second customer waiting. The staff seemed confused and overwhelmed over all the incoming customers after me (2-3 orders). They did forget about my order and when I got my pink drink, I had no idea what I was drinking. It tasted like pineapple watered down with some strawberries on top. This did not taste like coconut milk was included as per the usual recipe/order. I had to discard my drink after I got to my car. Every time I go to the Macy's in Manhasset, I am drawn to stopping into this Starbucks since it's conveniently located inside the store. (In the warmer months, there's even outdoor seating). It never fails, either I'm thirsty from shopping or the kids want something to snack on and keeps them entertained, while I do my marathon shopping. :-) A win-win for all. Like my other visits, the cashier was prompt with taking orders and the barista was quick to make my drink. Funny story to share on this visit even though it technically is not food related - just as I was ordering, my daughter had grabbed a milk box from the open fridge and her nose started to bleed. She was asking for a tissue and when I turned to her, the cashier noticed I stepped away to the side. She noticed my daughter's nose was bleeding and rushed to get someone to hand me napkins. She then offered me ice water and asked if I needed medical attention for her. So KUDOS to her (sad I didn't get her name at the time but this was Nov. 19th at 12:30PM FYI Starbucks Manager) for noticing and springing into action. Thanks to the barista too for grabbing us a cup of ice water so quickly. I sat her down and took care of the bloody nose. Thanked all of them for their speedy reactions. They are super busy but saw we were in distress, that's good customer service. Back to the food, I did pay for the milk box and ordered the egg white small bites and a green tea latte (my fav). The egg white bites are awesome and I am a fan. There's two or three flavors now...totally must try. And if you're a fan of Green Tea...try the latte (hot or iced)...it's delicious. read more

I only came to this Starbucks because it was on the way to where I needed to go. For the first time ever, they messed up my order. I was in a rush so I couldn't even ask them to make it over. This is a pretty small sized location located adjacent/ in Macy's. I wouldn't come here to study- and I would definitely not come to meet my friends. The tables have almost no "personal space" in between each so I can imagine that to become quite uncomfortable after a short period of time. The workers all seemed pretty sweet, but obviously are not experienced as employees at other locations. (I realized that this seems to be a thing for Starbucks that are located in bigger stores) but you can still order everything and anything off the menu that you'd find at any other Starbucks location. TLDR; there's about 4 other Starbucks within a 3 mile radius. Go to someplace else unless you're just trying to quickly grab a drink. I was a little taken back. I had a new employee taking care of me and he was learning. I asked for a Venti Skinny mocha latte, no whip. He wasn't sure what a skinny was and asked the more tenured employee about it. She had a very snotty tone and said" oh that's just what some of these people call a drink with non fat milk ". So I explained that it is actually a known Starbucks verbiage for using sugar free flavoring and non fat milk. The women made a face when I was helping the younger employee out. It wasn't a pleasurable experience. And the newer employee couldn't have been nicer. On a side note i can't believe that there are so many places that don't have sugar free mocha. STAY. AWAY. Unfortunately this is the nearest Starbucks to where I live, but it doesn't even deserve the title! Came here on 4 occasions and today's visit was the last straw (and cup! No pun intended). I actually didn't go inside... my husband parked while I stayed in the car and 20 minutes later (not exaggerating) he came with our 2 lattes. It takes FOREVER to wait in line and get your order in and then it takes even longer for them to make your drink. Understaffed maybe? Every time I got a drink from here the coffee was spilling out of the cup either from the sides or the center where the straw is, making my hands and car so messy. They are technically owned by Macys. I think we found that out when I couldn't redeem my drink reward or something like that. Save your money and more importantly your time. There's really no reason to come here over any nearby coffee establishment. read more

I would say, EVERY single day that I go there my drink is different () and I've literally been drinking the same drink for the last 10 years! If I'm paying almost 7 dollars for a coffee it better be the best damn cuppa coffee Ive ever had! its a great idea to have a Starbucks right inside a Macy's, Its not such a great idea to hire slow and careless employees. Every time i have ordered something here I have waited for over 10min to get my drink, even on slower days. The people they have making the drinks make them worse then any other Starbucks I have tired. What finally got me to write this review was my last visit when I ordered a Caramel Brulee latte and a Salted Caramel Mocha and I would swear I was handed two of the same exact drinks that tasted like neither of the things I ordered. I didn't bother to go back because I didn't want to spend more time waiting until someone sort out what was wrong and then wait for my drinks to be re-made. This Starbucks ends up being a waste of money and time because you don't get the quality of what your expecting. Also they ALWAYS have random non-customers taking up the seats and tables with bags...so that customers who actually want to have coffee and something to eat have nowhere to sit. just something to improve on maybe? read more

I am hopeful that the below incident is on camera, because today everything is on camera. I visited the Starbucks located in Macy's, Manhassett, Sunday evening, December 15th at approximately 7:30 pm and received the most unacceptable, disrespectful, and what I feel was racially directed, unprofessional service from the manager, "Tina." When I entered the store, there were three (3) workers in the store, two (2) baristas were working the counter and one (1) worker was mopping the floor. I asked the young man for two salted caramel Frappuccino's. The young man then gave the order to the young lady working with him. There was one other customer behind me and a group of girls talking right outside the store near Macy's specialty holiday foods. As it appeared that the barista was not familiar with making my order, I then began looking at the moose munch right outside of the store which connects to Macy's. When I came back the young lady had finished the drinks and just when she was about to put the tops on the drinks, I said "oh, don't forget there's salt on a salted caramel Frappuccino." She did not know what I was talking about so I pointed out the salt to her and she then sprinkled it on top of the drinks. When she was about to pass me the drinks she said, "wait, you ordered 2 salted caramel Frappuccino's?" I calmly replied "yes." The Barista then went to confirm with the young man if that is what I ordered (I guess she didn't believe me) and he said "yes she did." She then came back to me and said "I have to remake them, I made the wrong thing." I said "ok, no problem." The guest behind me order was completed quite some time before mine. The barista went back to the young man and said "I don't know how to make that" they both then began looking for something when finally, she found a book that I guess, provided directions and ingredients on how to make specific drinks. She, at this time, apologized,(I am still waiting patiently). All of a sudden one of the young ladies who was with the group of young ladies talking near the store, walks behind the counter. I'm assuming she worked there and she then yells from behind the counter, over me, to her friends, "hey, do you guys want a frappe?" They "yelled back" YES! The young man then comes over, reaches over me to pass them the drinks (no "excuse me," was said to me by either of them who yelled out to people, not even in the store, not customers and not waiting for the employee to learn how to make a drink). I calmly said to the young man, "what am I chop liver?," I have been waiting here patiently and you ignore me? He then said, do you want one? Before I could respond, out of no where, with a black coat on, a woman walks up, face red from the cold outside, while I am standing at the pickup counter waiting patiently (no one else in the store) and "YELLS" over me in my face, to the young ladies talking, "do you guys want it?" I, now completely appalled then said to her, "how do you ignore me, when I am standing here in your face?" She then YELLS at me, "I can give it to whoever I want," I then ask for a manager and This rude ], disrespectful person, very loudly, again, like she is performing for the workers and young ladies hanging around says, "I AM!" I Then ask for her name and she yells again in my face and says, "Tina!" I went on to say that "I am sure Tina, that this is not store policy to treat a customer like this" while grabbing my drinks and walking to the door. Tina then yells again across the store, and I mean literally YELLS "do you work here and who are you?" I then while exiting the store yell back, "I am a consumer who advocates for consumers" and exits the store. I called Macy's (several times trying to get a manager) and reached the fur department who tried to transfer me to the manager I believe the sales person said his name was something that began with an "I" but after six (6) unsuccessful calls to the store, I hung up. In closing, if Starbucks policy is to hire people like Tina, who I feel has a problem with "certain people" because o she treated non customers with more respect and totally ignored me. "I" and other patrons/consumer/customers should not patronize Starbucks. I cannot, will not accept this type of treatment from anyone and feel that consumers should know how business is conducted at this establishment. For the most part, this 'bucks is OK. Same food/drink offerings as most locations and standard service. Where they lose points, is its location, size and its oh so poor internet. There are 3 tables inside and a few bar stools to sit at, so it's tight. The location is odd, too. It's in the far corner of a Macy's and only immediately visible from one entrance. Lastly, the net. Ohhhh, boy. Part of the appeal of the 'bucks is that you know you can kill some time, do some work, whatever you need, bc you'll always get some solid wifi. Not here! You can only connect to the Macy's wifi (who knew) and its very, very slow. It also thinks every webpage is a security threat, so good luck getting a anything done.
