Cute coffee shop in Pasadena. Plenty of parking (street parking in front and a small lot in back). I didn't realize it would be better to park in back until after I entered the coffee shop and ordered. That's when I saw a sign that directed people to continue walking out through the back, leading you to the parking lot in back. I believe this is due to social distancing in case they have a line, then you don't walk back towards the line/people. There wasn't anyone else in line at the time, but I didn't ask to backtrack. I ended up walking out using the path they laid out and walked around the building to my car in front haha. The employees are friendly. They greet you with a smile and wait patiently while you make a decision. They have their current menu taped on the counter. And there's a bunch of plants everywhere :) I ordered the matcha latte and they asked if I wanted it cold or hot, and if I wanted it sweetened or not sweetened. I asked for hot and sweetened. They filled up the cup till it almost overflowed and gave me the lid separately. The flavor was good, and I'm glad I got it sweetened because it wasn't too sweet. I did notice on the menu that they have seasonal drinks but didn't ask what they are. Also they do provide the option of Oat or Hemp milk for an additional 75 cents. read more

Located in Pasadena, it's a perfect spot for working or studying, with a whole parking lot in the back, so no worries about finding parking. That alone deserves five stars! Ordered my go-to oat milk latte and it was amazing--subtle sweetness of oats without overpowering the coffee. Perfect combo! The space is spacious with plenty of outlets, and the atmosphere is great, with most people working. Wi-Fi password available at checkout. Half the place doubles as a brewery, so after 5 pm, you can switch from coffee to beer. They really know how to do business! Weekend update: no Wi-Fi available, and some tables are not for laptop use. read more

On a Sunday morning in mid November, my sister and I decided to check out this coffee shop. It is hidden by the trees and it's easy to miss it and it is before furniture store and pass the suntan place. We parked on the street and was nicely greeted. The line was a short line to order coffee or sugar bloom pastries. I ordered chocolate croissant and my sister ordered maple latte and chocolate croissant. Inside, there was few number of people with their laptops. Lots of small tables and long tables. Also they share space with Wild parrot brewery. My sister enjoyed the maple latte with taste of maple sauce. The croissant was flaky and the crevices of chocolate inside the pastry. Nice and relaxing coffee shop. read more

Love how this cafe transitions into a brewery at their 4pm closing time. Effective use to get the most out of their space and allows the day time customers to stay a little longer before heading out. I met up with a friend here from 2pm-4:30pm and waited for her to clock out remotely. The wifi was reliable and she was able to find a large table with outlets. This cafe is super spacious with plenty of small tables with chairs and mess hall-like tables and benches. It's not too boisterous on a weekday and there's enough white noise so you don't feel awkward either. Overall a good working space in exchange for a coffee or tea. I bought a cup of hot ginger/orange black tea which was pretty bitter even with honey. The parking lot in the back is very convenient and most spots aren't timed. Just be weary to read the signs to ensure you're in customer parking. read more

Rosebud Coffee - Brewery area - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Pasadena, California

I had gone here two weeks ago and I enjoyed it a lot so I came back again and this time I'm leaving a review because this place was great! Last time I got their spinach and feta croissant and latte with whole milk. But this time around on my second pass I got a cold brew and I wanted the spinach feta croissant again but I believe the guy miss heard me the first time and said "so you want a cold brew and a Spam & Kimchi Danish"... I literally blurted out "excuse me?!" Lol so OBVIOUSLY I got the latter haha because who doesn't like spam and kimchi and rice but this was spam and kimchi in a form of pastry. Anyways I liked the cold brew! It was robust as you can imagine most cold brew black coffee is strong! But this flavor wasn't too overwhelming it was just right! I went for the danish next and let me tell you.... I have had spam and kimchi with rice, bread, by itself, as an onigiri, as a kimbap and so forth BUT never have I had it like this in a pastry form! The pastry itself was so delicious and savory because of the spam and coupled with the kimchi and sesame seeds with the nori on top it gave it a great mixture of flavors! Who would have thought the combination of this would be great! The service was great! The guy helping me out looked like he was tired but who wouldn't be if you would be waking up early to work! It was also funny that he miss heard me when I was saying my name when asked. I said franny but he heard "Freddy" hahah I'll take it for now The ambiance was cool their was a small counter next to it which I believe served as another place where they served food and could order from and maybe they serve other things too but not really sure but over all the place inside was great! People inside were just enjoying themselves and chatting and studying. For me I give this place a 5/5 stars! Definitely will come back! read more

Great place to study as there is a lot of seating. The parking lot in the back is also pretty spacious which is always a plus for a coffee shop. Their drink menu is pretty small but contains the essential for a solid coffee joint. My mom normally gets the latte with hazel nut and though simple, she is always asking to go back for more. I got their seasonal salted rose mocha latte with almond milk. It was a little watered down but I attribute it to the almond milk. I would definitely recommend getting oat milk as an alternative as it mostly related to regular milk in terms of consistency. read more

ROSEBUD COFFEE was hopping on a Sunday morning. There were a lot of tables and they were all full. The space is wide and high, large enough to accommodate brewing and roasting equipments and still leave you feeling like you entered a hangar. Their Cortado is good, strong and tart. Iced Latte is strong and creamy. Large free parking lot behind the building. There is a rear entrance for those walking in from the parking lot. read more

I tried the MUD/WTR coffee which is a masala chai with the fraction of the caffeine. You can taste the mushroom flavor mixed with a hint of cinnamon. A nice alternative to coffee. read more

I met a couple of friends for coffee there this week. The coffees, coffee selection and hot chocolate were great. Nice place with large parking lot in the back and good sized outdoor patio with seating. We had a cinnamon roll and gluten free cookie that were delicious. The service was great and there was ample seating even with a good sized crowd. My only disappointment was a limited breakfast menu and not a lot of muffins/pastries. read more

One of the better iced oat lattes I've had. The banana bread was so so, don't think I'd get it again. The shop itself is very spacious and also shared space with a brewery. There is plenty of parking in the back. I was impressed with the utilization of space for both types of crowds. They also carry their own merch, super cute shirts! Would definitely come back. I noticed there were lots of people working on themselves while enjoying a cup of coffee - some were journaling, some were studying scripture, and some were having deep meaning conversations together. Love this type of easy Sunday morning :) read more

Love this local shop. It is so much more than just coffee. Add in chocolatier, boutique gift shop, and future coffee bean roaster. They're also about doing good and helping the community! The owner makes chocolate bars in-house and it is absolutely divine. For the holidays, they have limited edition dark chocolate with hazelnut and a unique ginger snap chocolate. Grab it before it's gone! Perfect little stocking stuffer and you'll be supporting small business (funnily enough, there was a support small business rally driving by when we were inside ordering). Oh yeah, their coffee is good too. I've never had a bad latte here. :) read more

I really liked this spot! I love how they turn off the wifi on the weekends and the vibe was very communal and warm. I got this rose latte and a plain croissant and both were delicious. All the staff was really sweet too. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area! read more

Rosebud Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Pasadena, California

Solid coffee shop. Never too busy. Friendly service. White/sterile aesthetic. Smooth coffee. If you need a spot where you can find a table to work/chat, this is your spot. Coffee is reliable and their homemade floral syrups are quite good. Only reason I can't give five stars is the atmosphere. It feels like a blank, minimalist canvas and I prefer the brick/oak feel to give some character. Overall, definitely worth checking out. read more

Cool little spot that is also a brewery in the evening I think. It wasn't too busy or loud when I was there. All the guests seem to be respectful of the noise levels. Good place to study or work. The coffee is just so-so. I tried their seasonal Maple Latte which is supposed to have housemade syrups. While I'm sure it did, there wasn't anything special other than the $7 price. I usually determine if a place has good coffee or not by their drip coffee. So I'll come back again to give it another go one day. read more

Fantastic space to work from your laptop. Tons of seating and varieties of them, from a table with benches to high top tables. However would be nice if the people that come in solo could be more courteous about not sitting at two-person tables and instead opting for the seating along the table at the wall. The burrito was interesting and I was definitely expecting more of a breakfast vibe but it had barely any egg. There's a free parking lot at back plus a cute outdoor area mixed into it so A+ all around in terms of the space. They also post the WiFi username and password on a piece of paper so it's nice that they're not stingy about. The brewery is a cool addition and I was thinking I'd like to come back for it. However, it's a little off putting when you're sitting at one of the tables and you're just slipped a sign that says to basically get the hell outta there by 4:30 pm if you're not going to get anything at the brewery. My friend and I were well aware the coffee shop had closed but it was weirdly passive aggressive to receive that signage. I think if the person had said "just a heads up" as she put it the table, it would've been a better approach. Instead she just put it down, without saying a word, and then walked away with this like annoyed smirk on her face. But I know I expect too much from people to be courteous! All that being said, I probably won't return to go to the brewery. Just left a sour taste. read more

Stopped by here on a whim because I wanted a quick bite for breakfast! Loved the curry pastry and miso kouign amann. The curry pastry was especially flavorful. My husband got the Colorado breakfast sandwich and he liked it as well, even if it's a bit small. I really love the social enterprise aspect of this coffee shop. We had to wait a bit for the breakfast sandwich as they only had 1 person making everything in the back, but wasn't a big deal as we weren't in a rush. Sandwich was served piping hot though. Too hot to touch! Feedback would be to let customers know sandwich may take 10 minutes and to not serve too hot, but overall we liked our experience. Would definitely stop by here again! read more

Rosebud has improved a lot in recent years and have been coming here regularly for the past 6 months. I only get their lavender latte with oat milk here and it has to be with oat milk. Something about that combination here just works for me. Normally not very big into flavoring for lattes but I crave their lavender lattes. They have a big-ish parking lot in the back and have a back door for entry if you park back there. Staff is always friendly and service is fast! read more

This place is perfect to visit to get some work done. Do expect to hear some chatter so bring some headphones to tune out the noise. Very spacious and bright with plenty of seating. The coffee selection and quality is great. The employees who have helped me during my last few visits have given me great service. Drinks are decently priced and I love how this coffee shop is right next to a brewery. Great place to bring some friends and have a good time! read more

I had planned to spend a few hours there on a Saturday while my kid was in an activity nearby and get some work done (because after the fires and having my kid home for a month due to the loss of their school, I'm very behind). Lots of empty tables, but they're strict about their "no laptop" policy with the majority of their seating designated as such. Additionally, they turn off their WiFi on the weekend. I used the like this place, but now that I'm familiar with their weekend policies I won't be returning. read more

Wow! The best spicy chai I've had since coffee manufactory when they were at the row! I'm glad it's down the street to get my fix at anytime. I also ordered the cinnamon roll and wish they'd clean it up a bit. I had a bit of a walk and the frosting was overflowing here and there. The roll itself was good, but the frosting tasted a bit sour from the cream cheese. I'll pass on this next time. I'd definitely like to come back for their other baked goods. And for customer service, if I'm being honest, the person at the counter was not very nice and quite rude, not just to me, but every person they encountered. Customer service is 0/5. Inside vibes: super chill. Everyone on their laptop doing working and pretty spacious too. read more

Was so happy to find this little gem of a coffee shop! First time here, I ordered an iced matcha green tea latte with oat milk and it is now my go-to drink... The drink was a nice green color and was a perfect balance of matcha and milk. If you're a fan of subtle sweetness, be sure to ask for them to sweeten it. They have a house sugar/honey(?) syrup that I enjoy! You do need to purchase something to get the WiFi code, however the ambiance of the place is such a solid study spot that I am okay paying $5-6 for a drink every once in a while. I have come here on a Saturday morning and a Wednesday afternoon and both times there was sufficient seating. They also have many tables that are conveniently located near plugs, so you're able to charge your items if needed. read more

Part coffee shop, part art gallery...all wonderful!! Rosebud Coffee is an absolute delight. The space is open and airy...a comfortable place to read, work, or just post up and relax. The manager, Jackie, and my barista, Ellie, were incredibly wonderful. And oh my...the coffee and pastries were utter perfection. Jackie enticed me to try a rose/cardamom latte, topped with rosemary. So much fancier than anything I normally drink...and oh, what a treat!! In this era of 3rd Wave coffee shops, it's easy to get lost in the expectation of it all. It's so wonderful when you find a place that takes perfection to an even higher level. Will definitely back and highly recommend it to all my friends in the area (yes...I mean YOU!!). read more

Rosebud has an amazing mission and I'm happy to support them whenever I can. Even during construction, it seems like a great study/work space as there is abundant seating so you could spread out. I also noticed plenty of outlets to keep your devices charged. Drinks: Lattes are my go to and they do a great job at making them! Lots of great foam on top. They often have seasonal drinks and most have been a hit. I applaud their inventiveness but some just weren't for me haha. They had a peach-mint latte, which I might have preferred as a tonic. Food: Haven't tried their sandwiches, but they get their pastries from Sugarbloom so you know they're great. I stopped by around noon and half the pastry case was cleared out by then. They also sell day old pastries at a discounted price. Parking: Lots of street parking in front of the store was available. I also spotted a lot in the back. read more

Super cool place to hang out and get a little work done. I think if Coffee is in your name, you should be able to serve a decent cup of coffee. Really bitter. Then I got a pretty expensive strawberry almond croissant, and honestly, didn't seem too fresh? Maybe J caught them on a bad day? read more

Iced Lavender Latte, Rose Latte or Golden Latte??? Hmmm...decisions, decisions...okay, I'll go with the first one and come back for the other ones next time, hehe! Rosebud Coffee is located on Colorado Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue in Pasadena. Definitely a hidden gem that is located right next to Sun Works Tanning and pass VONS (adjacent on the other side, just pass Sierra Madre Boulevard a little bit). The place is spacious, nicely ventilated and pretty chilled in the morning (around 8:10am on Sunday). Great for studying or hanging out. There's also outdoor seating - both in the front and back of Rosebud Coffee. The one Unisex Restroom is clean, nicely stocked and maintained. Parking: Parking in the back and street parking all around (watch for signs). COVID-19 Safety Procedures: All patrons and employees wore face masks, hand sanitizers are available and social distancing practice. I got the $5.25 Iced Lavender Latte, which was delightfully smooth, creamy and delicious. I went with regular milk and loved it. Dairy alternatives available include Oat Milk and Pistachio Milk ($0.75 extra charge). A very relaxing, yet brewed-awakening drink. Poured over ice, a great way to start off my morning. I also got the $10 Rico Suave Breakfast Burrito consisting of eggs, bacon, Tater Tots, avocado, Cheddar and Cotija Cheese, rolled in a tight and neatly compacted flour tortilla. Served with Cilantro Crema and Molcajete (not spicy at all) dipping sauces. The breakfast burrito was tasty, very filling and pretty hefty (think brick size). Adding both the sauces together definitely enhanced the taste. I also liked how tightly compacted the burrito was rolled and so all the fillings didn't fall out, yay! Service: Both the male baristas working there were sweet and efficient. My food and drink were brought over to me within less than 10 mins. After I was done, self clean up, used the restroom, and went about my day. Before leaving, the barista thanked me again for coming. Awww, super sweet customer service! Wifi: Pretty strong and located at the bottom of your electronic receipt. Or, you can ask the baristas and they'll give you a print out copy as well. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here Rosebud Coffee and look forward to trying out their other drinks, savory food and pastries in the future. This coffee joint is a delightful spacious to get away from everyday life while enjoying a cuppa Java and yummy food. Until next time! read more

I'm going to get this out there first before you judge me too harshly...I do not drink coffee. Or any hot drink for that matter. Unless you consider soup a hot drink? I don't, but not judging you if you do...Anyways, growing up in SoCal and it always being hot all the time, I never had a desire to put any more hot into my body. Didn't see the appeal in it so never developed into a coffee or tea drinker. You must then be wondering, okay then why are you reviewing a coffee shop? Well because this coffee shop does serve other things and I also come here mainly to work and be able to have wifi. So I will be reviewing those two things. They offer free wifi to guests. There is a limit for up to a maximum of 2 hours but you can just log on again once it runs out. I guess this could be a problem if you're in the middle if downloading or up loading something or on a wifi based call or meeting, but hey it's free! They've recently started to do kind of a co working type of thing where you can reserve a desk to work on for just $10 per day and it includes access to printer, locker, unlimited wifi, drip coffee, and 10% off on any orders. That's a pretty good deal! The location itself is great, lots of free parking in the lot out back as well as free street parking. The place is huge for a coffee shop, with plenty of seating for people to meet or work on a weekday, with outlets for you to plug in devices nearby. They have community events that happen here, a small stage for presentations and a tiny art gallery of local artists' work. I also like that they are mission driven and you support a cause instead of just being strictly for profit. The main reason they aren't getting 5 stars from me is because the hours aren't that great, I feel like they close a little too early. The lemonade is also super sour. The barista did ask me if I wanted it sweetened and I declined but dude I didn't realize I'd be drinking straight lemon juice. So yeah, next time I would get that baby sweetened. Other than that, cool place check it out and support them!! read more

I had tried them for a Yelp Elite event and have been coming back a few times thereafter. There are a lot of good coffee places in the area and this has been one of our favorites. We come for the flat white and a cappuccino and both are rich in taste and yet simple- no frills just exactly what you need. They do have other flavors and specials to offer but I do like my coffee simply recognizing the boldness of the roast. Their pastry case is also great with a variety of sweet and savory options but I do like the white miso kouign amann. Definitely worth trying! read more
