Banana pudding!
Brent H.

The chicken tenders were so good, and they were HUGE! Biscuits were perfectly baked, the Mac & cheese and collard greens sides were amazing, and the banana pudding was delicious.

Had to stop and try here as we were driving down past and saw it was on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives! It didn't disappoint. We had chicken tenders, deviled eggs, macaroni, and mashed potatoes and tried the house comeback sauce, and honey mustard. All was served so fresh, warm and so tasty!!!! The service was so good the lady the checked us out was so kind! Prices were reasonable and portions were large. We would definitely return as we left stuffed and happy! Yum!

We have this little thing where we like as foodies to try as many Guy Fieri Diner's Drive In's and Dive's adventures. Relying on fellow Yelp reviews, we happened to stumble across Roost Fried Chicken unbeknownst at first that it happened to be a triple D visit on season 29 episode 2. We were pleasantly surprised and if given the opportunity, we definitely will visit again. Service was great and food was terrific. We had a (1/2 a bucket) 4 piece classic fried chicken meal with double collard greens, because if you know me, I'm a green fanatic. We also got the Alabama Sammy with extra pickles with a side of Mac & cheese. The Alabama had a nicely grilled bun on both sides which gave a nice crunch as you took a bite. It was like a heavenly creamy chicken salad sandwich without fruit or nuts. The pickle slices added a nice tang and the white sauce had a bit of pleasant heat at the end. The Mac & cheese sadly was rather plain and dry. Maybe just an off day for it. Now back to the stars of the show. The chicken was so moist, flavorful and delicious, we regretted only getting a 4 piece. My hubby was sympathetic to me eyeing him devouring his chicken, so he shared a leg with me. Now let m tell you, I'm one to get picked on for "not knowing how to properly pick a chicken bone clean." I'm pretty sure not a shred of any chicken remnants were left on that leg bone. Really THAT delicious! And the collard greens....perfectly seasoned (I love heavy handed course ground black pepper and it certainly was.) Now, if only Roost Fried Chicken can hook a sister up and do some overnight delivery I'd be ecstatic. And lastly, try their homemade hand squeezed fresh lemonade served in a mason jar. Refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to our meal. They also served freshly brewed unsweetened as well as southern sweet tea. They do have a nice outside patio with several tables and chairs to visit and make new friends. Tables are inside as well but we went on a gorgeous day and several patrons chose the outside seating option.

Nashville, hot chicken strips and waffles

Fast, friendly and delicious . Would be a fun place to visit on the patio when it's not snowing. Chicken was tender and waffles were fluffy. My husband really enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken sandwich as well. From Southern California, we are hot chicken connoisseurs, and this hit the spot.

Home made Lemonade! Best ever!

Best chicken sandwich I ever tasted! Friendly service with a great fun ambiance! Outside seating just tops it off so if ya have a dog get ready to go and enjoy!

Travel week so I decided to head over to the Triple D Restaurant!!! Small spot, good for groups of 4, if your numbers are higher call before time. I did the take out option. Service was good and I was able to customize my order!!! Tasted southern to me, no complaints!!!

This place was sooo good. I had the Nashville hot sandwich and a sweet tea and it was so tasty! The chicken was made to perfection. The service was pretty fast and I like the decorations inside and how the menu is on the wall. I would definitely come back to eat here when I visit Bozeman!

Fried green tomatoes

Everything was hot and fresh. They have fried green tomatoes right now and they are the bomb. The chicken tenders were hot and tender and the fries were fresh. The chicken sandwich had just the right amount of sweet and salty with the slaw. Would eat here again!

Not the best chicken I have had and definitely not the best service. The first time I came to Bozeman was 2020 and I came back in 2023 and the town is booming. Over tourism has definitely caused sub par eateries. The chicken I got tasted like it has been sitting there awhile, fries were cold and soda was flat. Not a good combination. The star of the show was the biscuit that came with my meal. Parking was hectic as it is a small lot and limited seating instead as well. Located on a Main Street in Bozeman. When in the area, I probably wouldn't go back. Super chix in town is good. Make the drive to Whitehall and check out two bit saloon for good chicken!

Outside seating with a perfect spot to provide water for a dog

Stopped in for a late lunch while driving through town. Had the Carolina BBQ sandwich (a hearty piece of chicken with a wonderful coating and the sauce was wonderfully tangy and went well with the coleslaw) and the chicken strips (perfectly cooked, juicy and tender with a nice, crunchy coating). The folks were so polite and there was a perfect spot to sit outside with our dog.

Chicken and Waffles (Nashville Hot)

Insane food. Got the chicken and waffles with nashville hot on the strips, unbelievable! Very good waffles, and chicken was amazing. Would recommend this to everyone!!

Ed-man H.

The chicken sandwich was light and airy, not greasy at all. Their special sauce and toasted bun finshed off the great sandwich. The place is small and quaint and no frills. The biscuit was plain, no need to order it unless you dipping it i ln something.

Hailey G.

Really tasty! I got the sweet heat fried chicken with a side of collard greens and Mac & cheese. The Mac wasn't too flavorful, but the collard greens and chicken were wonderful. The sweet heat is perfectly spicy and the chicken was juicy. Next time I want to try their Nashville hot sandwich! They also have a dog friendly patio which was a huge plus.

The inside is chalked full of trout, moose, bear paraphernalia and it really gives you the western vibe that the name suggests. Better yet, the food is fantastic! Although French toast is my favorite food and the bobcat style is amazing, it wasn't my absolute favorite. I do love the savory menu items I've tried and the portions are very generous. My wife and I both switched to pork dishes, only to learn from the server that they had stopped buying pork because it doesn't sell well and the new menus hadn't been printed yet. All of this probably primed us for the disappointment that followed. My wife ordered jjajang, which should have been a treat. Although jjajang is popular in Korea, it doesn't appear on many Korean restaurant menus in the U.S. because Koreans think of it as a Chinese dish, even though the Chinese analogue, zha jiang mian, is actually quite different. Jjajang is a noodle dish with a variety of ingredients, but what makes it distinctive is the musky flavor and black color of the fermented beans that form the base of the sauce. The jjajang at I‑Ho certainly looked right, but it lacked the deep umami flavor, turning what should have been a memorable dish into an ordinary one. I ordered the Dak‑Go‑Gi‑Bob and asked for a spice level of 4. The problem was that they apparently spiced the dish with chili powder. That seems logical enough, but the chili powder, while amping up the heat, also changed the flavor profile in an unpleasant way. A more authentic and better approach would have been to adjust the heat with more gochujang. I was also surprised to see banchan on the appetizer menu for $8. When I lived in Korea, I never once had to pay extra for banchan. I understand the business logic - if I‑Ho doesn't include banchan with the entrées, they can charge less for the main dishes - but it still felt very un‑Korean to me. I'm giving the restaurant three stars partly out of kindness and partly because I don't want to rate it lower based on a single visit. That said, our experience was below the American average for Korean restaurants, and the food did not deliver the bold, delicious flavors I enjoyed in Korea.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Perfectly priced…read more Being from California, finding authentic Asian food in Bozeman is definitely a tough one, but I-Ho did NOT disappoint! Look forward to going back.

I have rarely seen a menu where I wanted to order 1 of each but believe me this one brought my accent out. Out of the gate, very quick seating, excellent service! Started with Brussels Sprouts with God's favorite flavoring bacon, with Parmesan, with...sit it down Alabama white sauce. Now, I met Alabama white where it was invented, I love it, and this combination will make Brussels sprouts famous. But, I had to try the hush puppies. Now, real southerners know a good hush puppy is the holy grail of delicious. I'm telling you, these remind me of sitting next to the 'Hooch. Fluffy, crispy, dark...I'm gonna grab another one before this review ends. I chose the fried catfish, Mac & Cheese with creamed corn. Now, I tried to stop eating the cornbread crust and came close to success. The fish was perfection. There are fish coming here to rise above their station! The sides were uniquely and magically delicious but I have to talk about my husband's food. He had brisket, ribs, Cole slaw and smoked green beans. I've never seen this man not clean his plate, but everything was so generous his full meter got pegged. Tons went home, everything was so elevated the Cole slaw, everything. I think the white bread was special (it was hella) fresh. Now, here's a fact, all tables are high or picnic style. I love the idea for a group, but I would have appreciated a back. At a table that my legs wouldn't fall asleep at. If that's a deal breaker for you, order it to go. Pardon me while I wipe the drool off. Enjoy, this place is beyond good!

I admit that takeout is not as good being at the restaurant so my review is not completely fair…read more Here we go, however, with my review. The brisket sandwich was ok but not great. The brisket was dry and could've used a little more sauce to moisten it up. The mac & cheese was, well, it was. They use shells instead of macaroni for the pasta, and no distinct flavor. Speaking of which, the side was the creamed corn. Yuck.

Several tables, elevated booths and an elaborate bar setup with a warm and very hustling staff. Hospitality is off-the-chart here and the Main St location is straight out of a cool mountain town set. We ordered the avocado toast and a simple plate of biscuits / sausage gravy. The avacado toast was stacked tall with guacamole, bacon, roasted grape tomatoes and an over easy egg. This was good but trying to eat it was a challenge due to size and ingredients. There was a small side green salad. The biscuit and sausage gravy was also stacked. You definitely get good value here as is evident with the families surrounding us. The gravy was almost overflowing the plate with a good uncious taste. The biscuit was dense, a bit dry and was just ok. The gravy was a home run. Jam is a great family breakfast option with the food almost over-flowing the plates. We ordered basic dishes from the appetizer menu and enjoyed them but not overwhelmed with taste. Even though I found it good, not great, I would encourage you to come here with a hearty appetite, and give them a try. NO ONE here is eating with a frown on their face and joint is jumping.
