I stopped in for dinner Thursday night and ordered the tomato basil pasta. It was... just okay. The dish had a nice fresh look with plenty of tomatoes and basil, but the flavor was pretty bland overall. It needed more seasoning, maybe some garlic, chili flakes, or a stronger sauce to bring it together. That said, the customer service was excellent! The cashier was super friendly. Would I go back? Pretty good hole-in-the-wall place with delicious food! I had the carbonara bowl but subbed chicken for shrimp because I'm allergic. Large portion and I don't eat a lot, so I would say this is like three meals for me, haha. Pretty good, not too salty and generous on the chicken. Garlic bread was okay, it tasted like burned garlic. My husband got the Cuban rice bowl which he said was really good. We also got the fried bacon mac and cheese balls with marinara which were really good. I think for the taste and the portions, the prices were reasonable. The only complaint I had besides the meh garlic bread was how rowdy some of the employees were in the kitchen. It sounded like they were watching some sports game or something but they were really loud, bordering on obnoxious. Other than that, Mo'Bowls had good food and fair prices. read more

This was my favorite place to eat during our trip to Bozeman! My favorite order was Thai pesto pasta. I ordered it with fettuccine. It was creamy and had full flavors of Thai cuisine, deliciously marinated chicken, peanuts and daikon! I would say this is one of my favorite fusion pasta I've ever tried! All in all never really worked well - when they were busy they were brutally slow, which killed their third party delivery revenue long term. Honestly I am visiting from ny where bowls are a thing and thinking will this be good? It's good. I got BBQ bowl and it's delicious and easy to eat as in items inside easily compliment each other. The wife ordered tariyaki bowl. It was good but the flavor is stronger than what we used to. man.. the portion are the best part. I like to eat a lot and ny bowls disappointed me in portion. I really wanted to like this but it was so disappointing. I ordered the primavera, one of the signature items, and it was horribly spicy. Nothing in it should've been spicy (I was looking for comfort food), but it was spicy enough that I really couldn't taste anything else. Our other bowl was a teriyaki. It was cold and most of the veggies were raw or almost raw, and it was almost flavorless. Also, I found a few regular noodles mixed in with my gluten free ones. Not a huge deal for me, but definitely could be dangerous for people with more severe allergies! read more

My two favorite are the Caprese Mac and Cheese and Buffalo Mac. Not only is the food amazing, but so is the staff! They are always super friendly and make your visit fun and enjoyable. First of all, I have uncommon food allergies and they were really willing to work with me to adapt a bowl I could eat, which I greatly appreciate. My spouse and I both got the Cuban Rice Bowl, and as a Miami transplant, I have to say, it is not terribly authentic (other than the Plantanos Maduros in the bowl there were absolutely perfect... I could have eaten a whole bowl of those), but the sheer amount of flavor, the perfect seasoning, and the care put into the bowl makes up for that, for sure. The bowl I had was full of quality ingredients that were perfectly cooked with a huge amount of food that will easily amount to two meals from one bowl. Really, most meals turn into two for me, but the fact that my spouse couldn't finish is a testament to the sheer amount you get for the price. Mo Bowls has been one of my favorites since I heard about their food truck back in college. I LOVE going downtown on a lovely summer night to get a bowl of their delicious Mac and cheese. I was so proud and happy when they opened their restaurant location! I've eaten at Mo'bowls twice now. First time I got the mac and cheese because I was a little taken aback by the prices. It was good, if a little bit plain. For $8 definitely overpriced. Decided today to try another one of their entree's, I got the chicken alfredo. I gotta say I was impressed by the size. The sauce was good as well. But the chicken was extremely subpar. I could tell it was just a frozen breaded chicken patty that was grilled on the flat top and just set atop the pasta. For $12 I was expecting a little bit better quality. I have been to the Mo'Bowls location on 23rd (not foodtruck) around 6 times now and every time I go I think I love it more. This place isn't a fancy sit down restaurant but it's the perfect place to go if you're wanting a hearty meal or have many different people who all are wanting something different. Their menu has something to satisfy everyone! The bowls are pretty large, I'd say you could easily make them 2 meals.
