Traveling through Bozeman and I found this amazing place when looking for vegetarian options. They did not fall short. The collard greens were absolutely divine and the tofu was flavorful. They had such a good selection of sauces, that I had to get multiple on the side-just to try them. Roasted jicama is not something I've seen before, but boy was it good. They also have the mini cheese Brazilian buns that you can only find at Costco and at Brazilian restaurants. Super yummy. The only downside is it punches a hole in your pocket, but it's worth it every now and then!!

Healthy Fast Food Option Main Street in Bozeman was hopping... lots of people in downtown, the restaurants were full, the streets were full. I suspect many were here to visit the national parks: Grand Teton and Yellowstone. After checking in our hotel. we searched in Yelp for a nice place to have dinner.. many restaurants we went to had long wait times and at this point we would just settle for any food place then we saw Five on Black, a Brazilian restaurant. It wasn't a rodizio-style steakhouse... it was actually like a Chipotle-style with Brazilian food options. We were reluctant to walk in... vegan options, gluten free options and vegetarian friendly... if you knew me, that's not me. Hubby and I walked in anyway. The line wasn't too bad. The menu was simple... build a meal and choose your options: base, grill, side, sauce, and toppings. We each chose a small bowl and started creating our meal. My creation: Base (choose one) - white rice Grill (choose one) - Churrasco Beef Side (choose one) - Brazilian black beans Sauce (choose one) - Mango Barbecue Toppings (choose up to 3) - cilantro, tomato vinaigrette, Farofa toasted Cassava Flour I was very surprised! I loved it! Everything was delicious and very good. We'd recommend visiting here. They had indoor dining and a few tables outside. This is a counter-service fast food place. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff and they were excited to have out-of-towners visit Montana. We were excited to be here too and ready to create new adventures and memories including dining here. I don't think we have this in California. Fast, healthy, and affordable. Tasty and delicious too! Small tilapia bowl

This place is like a Brazilian chipotle! You can build your own protein bowl with greens, white rice or brown rice as the base. You add a side which is a veggie. I got the collard greens side and it was so tasty. You get a protein, I got tilapia. You also get a sauce. I tried the spicy coconut which wasn't really too spicy at all. For additional Brazilian toppings I got spicy chimichurri and cilantro. Everything tasted so fresh and healthy, I loved it! The small size was also perfect for me. l felt full but not overly full. They have really interesting soda options like lemongrass soda, blood orange soda, and others. I wish I was in town longer because I would definitely visit again! Also, they have two small outside tables, which was great since we had our dog with us.

I was super excited to eat here because I love the idea of healthy bowls and picking what you want, but not sure I would come back again. The food is tasty, the flavors are there, and the cheese bread is delicious, however, they truly skimped on the meat. We shared the large bowl, and chose the Brazilian stew as the meat option, and there were TWO, less than 1 inch pieces of meat in it, and the rest of the stew was just stewed, canned tomatoes, which we thought was pretty hilarious and absurd at the same time. The restaurant is pretty, and the staff are incredibly helpful, but the staff were also basically just sitting in the back and eating food (in plain sight). So maybe they ate the meat too?

The restaurant itself was not clean and the food was not worth what you paid for. Won't go back.

We started with the beet and burrata salad, which was full of yummy complimenting flavors and fun textures. I think it could have done without the yellow peppers but I just ate around those. The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay. The star of the show was the arrabiata pasta made with vodka sauce and Calabrian chilis. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and was well sauced, truly delicious. The ambiance is nice, and the service was fine. They checked on us frequently but not entirely friendly, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The meal was a little on the pricier side but I felt the happy hour prices were fair. We would return when visiting Bozeman.

Several tables, elevated booths and an elaborate bar setup with a warm and very hustling staff. Hospitality is off-the-chart here and the Main St location is straight out of a cool mountain town set. We ordered the avocado toast and a simple plate of biscuits / sausage gravy. The avacado toast was stacked tall with guacamole, bacon, roasted grape tomatoes and an over easy egg. This was good but trying to eat it was a challenge due to size and ingredients. There was a small side green salad. The biscuit and sausage gravy was also stacked. You definitely get good value here as is evident with the families surrounding us. The gravy was almost overflowing the plate with a good uncious taste. The biscuit was dense, a bit dry and was just ok. The gravy was a home run. Jam is a great family breakfast option with the food almost over-flowing the plates. We ordered basic dishes from the appetizer menu and enjoyed them but not overwhelmed with taste. Even though I found it good, not great, I would encourage you to come here with a hearty appetite, and give them a try. NO ONE here is eating with a frown on their face and joint is jumping. JAM, I'll see you again on my next trip to a picturesque town on Bozeman, MT.

Darker interior, crowded, nicely dressed clientele, this place is "jacked with a cool vibe". Our perch near the food prep station allowed us to watch them making the magic and discussing our choices for dinner. We started with marinated warm mixed beet salad with dill, sherry vinegarette, mint, chili, citrus, pistachios and smoked cherve. This was a show stopper with the dill waking up your mouth and the beet and cheese being perfect. The mafaldine braised lamb sugo and grana padano was good, but just not memorable. The salsiccio fennel sausage, garlic, red onions, sweet onion and chili pizza was another story. The dough was slightly chewy, good airyliness, sweetness and a firmness to hold the ingredients without wilting. A perfect white pie! If you can get reservations or by chance snag a bar seat, get over to Blackbird Kitchen for a nice evening, pleasant staff and delicious dishes, you won't regret it. **November 2025: Saturday Night**…read more My mom and I were looking for a spot to enjoy dinner that had parking. We drove around downtown Bozeman for a good 30 minutes, and didn't have any luck in securing parking. I found Mountain Walking Brewery and thought I'd take a chance and prayed that there would be a lot or that I would be super lucky with street parking. We were in luck and there was one very small spot near the front of the restaurant - hallelujah! The restaurant was poppin' - almost every table was taken, but we were offered bar seating and we gladly accepted. After purusing through the menu I decided that we should try a variety of items including a side of Brussels sprouts, Bowl of Bison Chili, and a Fig and Arugula Pizza. Service was quick and we got all our items in a pretty timely manner. The pizza had a really great crust the dough had a nice bounce to it. I think for me they were a tad overly generous with the balsamic vinegar glaze which made the pizza quite salty. I would definitely order a pizza again but perhaps the Margherita or the Carnivore. The bison chili was a good standard bowl and the brussel sprouts while crispy was also very salty - I think it was definitely over dressed, but maybe since the majority of patrons were drinkin the salty foods would pair well. Seems like a fun place to hang out, but for me I'd probably pick anything that doesn't have glaze or soy sauce.

Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite of what I expected. We were seated quickly on a Monday evening, and our server let us know she was new, which we completely understood since we both work in the service industry. Ordering was simple--my friend mentioned an apple allergy, and we each made straightforward requests. There was a slightly odd moment where the server said she couldn't ring in my friend's order a certain way because the kitchen would "make fun of her," but we brushed it off. Things really went downhill when the food arrived. Both meals were completely wrong. When the food was dropped off (by someone other than our server), there was a snarky comment referencing the apple allergy, which was uncomfortable. We sent the food back, expecting a quick fix--but it came out wrong again. And then a third time. At that point, we were honestly shocked. I've never had an order come out incorrectly three times in a row. Eventually, a manager brought the food out correctly, but there was no real apology for the repeated mistakes. Our server explained it was the kitchen's fault, but it was frustrating that no one double-checked the orders before bringing them out each time. The whole experience ended up taking over two hours, which felt excessive given how simple the order was. We also felt that, given the circumstances, some kind of comp or acknowledgment would have been appropriate, but nothing was offered. Overall, it was a really disappointing and honestly embarrassing experience--especially after talking the place up so much beforehand.
