Passed this food truck on a bike ride and later during a walk, intrigued, I had to try it out. El Rodeo offers lots of Mexican dish options, but I went for the tacos. You can select from a number of meat options. I chose four: the spicy pork, beef steak, fried pork and the shredded chicken. All were good and they come with pickled carrots and jalapeños, but the best was the spicy pork taco. Really enjoyed these tacos. I also got the refried beans and rice. They were very good. I read about their hot sauce in another Yelp! review and asked for some. Definitely a good addition to the food. Not over the top, but a healthy spice to kick it up a notch. The food truck is neat. You have the whole menu on the side of it where you order, and if you don't want to eat outside, they have indoor seating! Pretty cool! Check it out. read more

Visited the old white school bus location (taco truck): Had the carne asada tacos ($2.00 ea), super fresh meat, cilantro and onions and nicely grilled tortillas. Also had the carnitas burrito. El Rodeo is a real treasure in Bozeman. Don't judge a book by the cover, this place is a food truck, but is a bus sitting in a parking lot. They have a few picnic tables set up if you want to eat there. I wish we had El Rodeo in my hometown, the food is amazing. This is true Mexican food at its finest. The staff is friendly and helpful, and truly appreciate your business. My husband had the shredded beef enchiladas served with rice and beans, the beans actually had flavor unlike many Mexican restaurants. The sauce on the enchiladas was a bit spicy, it seemed simple, but had levels of flavor. I had 3 tacos and they are street sized, but filled to the brim with goodness. I chose 1 shredded beef taco and 2 carnitas tacos. They all were scrumptious and were topped with chopped onion and cilantro. The meat is so flavorful, tender and high quality. If you go you can expect your burrito to be full of rice and beans with little meat and vegetables, basically they put all fillers in your meal and dress it up to look authentic and to save themselves money from serving an actual authentic Mexican food meal and any self respecting Mexican knows rice and beans on the side not in your burrito to save them money, if you want fast, fresh authentic Mexican food, hit Ramirez trailer right around the corner then you get what you pay for along with friendly service and not a smile with your bill because they just loaded your food with rice and beans. The first time in the 3 years I've been here from CA that my craving has been satisfied (and I've tried all the "mexican/texmex" places around here at least once). The food is good for a truck but the employees are very rude. When they screwed up my order they got mad at me and started swearing at me in Spanish and that is not how you treat customers that eat at your place at least once if not multiple times a week. I can't find a registered business license for them and no way to contact the owner. So hopefully he reads this and teaches his employees about customer service. read more
