Booked a table for a business meeting & arrived early for a glass of wine. Beautiful evening, patio was full but the GM, Randi arranged for me to sit outside & enjoy the weather and my very generous pour of Redline Red Zin. The live music was great. My party arrived and we were able to stay on the patio. Our server, Chloe did a great job of taking care of us. The oysters (special appetizer menu) were fresh & delicious. The food was fantastic, the service way above average & the set up of the patio allowed us to forget where we were and relax. I didn't enjoy this place when it was in the smaller location and I didn't think I'd enjoy it here, either, but my wife wanted to try it so oh well. My biggest problem with this place is that it's crazy expensive but the food doesn't have much taste nor fill me up. I had a Caesar Salad and my wife got soup and we shared a dessert cannoli. It was a lot of money for three things that were just ok. I hate to say this but the only Italian place I really like is Olive Garden. I'm just going to have to stick with there. read more

My husband made reservations about a month ago to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. We were surprised that despite having those our table was in the bar area. Although the bartender made great drinks and was excellent when she was able to attend to us, we were seated for nearly 10 minutes before our drink order was taken due to her having patrons at the bar. We didn't mention it because we wanted to just focus on the birthday and keep the mood up. Once drink orders were taken, service went smoothly. The blueberry lemon drop cocktail was delicious, and the appetizer recommendations were spot on. We got the Tuscan butter - highly recommend, and the Calamari. Personally I've had better calamari but the white sauce served with it was better than the red. Both girls ordered the manicotti, my husband and I got the pollo al gusi (chicken stuffed with prosciutto, served with artichokes and risotto) and the shrimp pasta - I can't remember the name. I dined with a couple of girlfriends last night. I definitely like the decor change since the last incarnation of this space I had been to (Heritage Tavern). It is not as cavernous as before when it felt like a barn. I liked the large booths and dim lighting. As for the food, we tried the Tuscan butter appetizer. Like a small cheese fondue it was creamy and paired perfectly with crunchy bread. I added to my cheese dinner with the burrata salad. I loved it, too. I think we all enjoyed. The food is 5 star. However, if you also find it important when dining completely unprofessional to see and hear employees being scolded in front of you as well as hearing management verbally insult wait staff, calling them stupid, making comments about them being on drugs etc. Then this is not a place I would recommend. Management by all appearances seem to not only have difficulty controlling their voice level, words they use to staff and in front of other staff, but they also seem to have difficulty letting things go. We had to listen to a manager go on a rampage for over 30 minutes because the waitress forgot to tell a guest the specials. It was comical on one hand watching this older manager become unhinged over something so minute, , until the manager got to insulting the waitress, name calling her to kitchen staff such as being stupid accusing her of being on drugs. I was really hoping this was going to be a better experience than we got. I'm a huge Grisanti fan. We highly anticipated this meal and although it wasn't a bad experience it did leave a little to be desired. I had the snapper and although it was the special and not a regular item it needed a bit more practice in my opinion. The fish was cooked perfectly but was not seasoned well. My prawn was over cooked and the sauce bland. The wife had the salmon which she enjoyed but said the citrus was overpowering. We started off with the calamari and she had the salad. I think the world of this family from a culinary perspective. I would suggest checking the place out ...just stick to the pasta classics. read more

I ate here during the re-opening of the COVID crisis and they were well prepared and the staff was great. I had the meatballs and toasted ravs for apps. I am originally from St. Louis and you cannot find toasted beef ravioli anywhere, outside of STL.... so imagine my smile and joy when I found this place. It was very good and very STL style. I also had the lobster pizza (added chicken). It was also very good, but a little light on the meat, especially since I added an extra protein. The wine list was good as well. Perhaps the best dining experience I've had! This is my first time here. Immediately upon walking in, I felt like I was walking into a lifetime favorite! Everyone was extremely welcoming, courteous, and kind. Without a reservation on a Sat night, I was welcomed and seated quickly. Sally was amazing! She is the most engaging and delightful professional! Her recommendations and personality made my experience delightful. I had the Chopped salad and Saltimbocca . Both were delicious! The ambiance was perfect. Elegant but not too stuffy. Delightfully full of energy and joy, but not noisy. FedEx classic weekend.... Italian food and good company must be a must for golf enthusiasts, because this restaurant was packed with shorts and polo shirts. This is not a dog or complaint just an observation. The staff was still very nice and attentive even with the restaurant closing an hour before we sat down for our reservation. Out server Sharon was great, the other wait staff checked on us throughout our dining and someone was always a gesture away from helping. There were two hairs in our breadbasket...we almost left after we found the second one. Italian spinach side was obviously frozen and then zapped, as half was still cold. Looking for one more drink to cap off the night. Frank Grisanti's in the Embassy Suites had a full bar around 9:20 on a Friday night. They told us they had last call, so we walked over to Ronnie's. Arrived at 9:30 Pm. Hostess told us kitchen was closed but bar was open. Perfect! We only wanted a night cap. Bar was full so we sat at a high top. The two bartenders looked at us but that was the only acknowledgment. The first bartender sat behind the bar cleaning up never acknowledging us. The other bartender came around and cleaned the high top right next to us. She looked over at us multiple times but never asked us if we had been served. Ultimately, we sat there for 12 minutes without either bartender acknowledging our existence. It's apparent Ronnie Grisanti's didn't want to make any money tonight just like his apparent relative. Needless to say, Milton at Ruth's Chris earned a nice extra tip bc he was willing to work his bar. Special props to the Manager at Ruth's as the door was locked when we came up but the Manager saw us walking away and opened it. Said for us to come on in and enjoy! First of all our waitress was extremely pleasant (though she could have checked on our table more often) and could not help what was coming out of the kitchen. Now that the positive-ish is done.... 1. We sat outside and while we LOVE live music, it was just too loud for the small space. 2. This was my second visit. The first time I got the chopped salad and loved it, so I got it again. Only this time it was a fraction of the size; it wasn't chopped (it was just iceberg lettuce like any old side salad); they forgot the salad dressing ... I was too hungry to wait for someone to come check on us so I ate it without the dressing. This was dinner, not lunch ... the receipt even said "salad as entree." It was ridiculously sub-par. My husband also got a salad which was very, very small and added chicken to it. The chicken was an addition $8!!!! Also he asked for gorgonzola on it at the waitress's recommendation and it was an additional $3.50 ... PS they forgot to add the gorgonzola to the salad. 3. My parents actually really liked their entrees - so there's that. 4. Then my parents ordered dessert. My father got vanilla bean gelato with espresso sauce or something like that. My mom ordered a ricotta cheesecake (which was amazing). After 20+ minutes the waitress came out and said "omg you haven't gotten your dessert yet?" ... uh nope. She went back to get them. My dad's gelato did NOT have the topping, so he basically ate vanilla ice cream (the waitress didn't come back to make sure everything was ok). She did wind up taking the desserts off the bill, but that wasn't really the point. My mom may go back for carry-out ricotta cheesecake, but we will never be back. We'll stick to Frank Grisanti's next door. read more

I tried to make a reservation for 12 for lunch but they only have one large table and the room requires a $300 minimum( not workable at lunch), plus any group of 8 or more requires paying only 1(one) ticket which will never work if a bunch of friends each wants to pay their own bills! Can't rate as we'll not be coming here as a group! The food is supposed to be good from what I've heard but will have to try another time. Great for a group who wants or doesn't mind only one check but 8 or more who want separate checks is out of luck unless their policy changes. read more

We dined at Ronnie Grisanti's twice when we were recently in Memphis. We will definitely make reservations next time we are in town. Both Andrew and Tiffani were excellent servers and the food was delicious. We sampled quite a few menu items, but our favorite appetizer was the Tuscan butter and our favorite entrees were the Gorgonzola stuffed filet and the chicken parmigiana. The service and decor are great. They have a steady crowd most nights, and most patrons appear satisfied. The food is good, but I feel that the menu is definitely overpriced. Appetizers and oyster portions don't reflect the pricing. I would have expected more. read more

Quite disappointing...I ordered a mixed drink and specified the ingredients. The waitress stated no problem; however, when I received the drink it wasnt what I ordered. My friend ordered the chicken dish. It was bland, rubbery, and dry. It was sent back. The salmon I ordered was lacking in favor as well and the piece was very thin. We kept swatting at nats during our meal. Nats in January..The male bathroom had an odor just like an unsterizled nursing home. Me and my buddy went there on a tuesday night and it was not good,to put it simply. First, when we walked in there there wasn't anyone in the front to seat us and i saw the waitress glance at us and just ignore us. After standing for 5 minutes, i walked up to her and told her to get us a table,which is when she got some other lady to seat us(note:the place was pretty empty). After that i ordered the fondue appetizer which i admit was good. Then i ordered the chicken parm(pollo alla parmigiana) but when i got it,it was just chicken with cheese,no pasta/spaghetti, i know i should've read the menu closer but wow,what kind of place serves chicken parm without spaghetti/pasta for $20? She was trying to mislead me too by saying i could have some,as if it would be free,but then my friend asks how much and she says $7,for a side of spaghetti? That's crazy. I then ordered the molten cake for dessert which was also good. The worst part was when i was done eating and came back from the restroom,that she had added a $28 dish onto the ticket that we didn't order! When i called her to come over,she said oh yea i forgot to take that off,while she was still across the room! She didn't even come over to look at the ticket and try to act surprised! Yum! So happy they moved here from the antique mall in Collierville. The bar was very cool, but it does not allow for too many people. My drink was served in a cracked glass with a chunk missing, but was remedied quickly once I brought it to the bartender's attention. The dining room flowed well and was lit appropriately. However, we were seated in a "private room/nook" with a wait stand at the opening. Great for privacy if you want, but left little if you are a people watcher. The food was awesome and pastas were obviously fresh made. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dishes. My dish was considerably behind everyone elses, but I did not starve. My biggest gripe was the hostess who constantly circled to check our dining progress and I even heard her tell the server we needed to be gone in 20 minutes. Would not have been a problem had my meal come out before most everyone was done with theirs.
