THE WORST INDIAN FOOD EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD I genuinely do NOT like leaving bad reviews. I believe in giving businesses a fair chance, and I usually tell myself, "Maybe it just wasn't my taste, so maybe someone else will enjoy it." But this experience was so bad that I feel obligated to warn other people before they spend their money here. I ordered chicken tikka masala and TWO different types of naan, and my order totaled around $50. I was SO excited to finally have some good Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, this was one of the most disgusting meals I have ever eaten. The chicken tikka masala was EXTREMELY oily, the chicken was bone-in, and the overall texture and appearance were honestly nauseating. There was also a strange piece of meat in my food that looked almost alligator-scaley. I have no idea what it was, but after seeing that, I could not bring myself to eat another bite. I ended up throwing the entire meal away. And when I say this food made me sick, I mean I WAS THROWING UP FOR TWO DAYS. TWO. DAYS. I called the restaurant because I felt that, at the very least, I deserved a partial refund for the chicken tikka masala. I wasn't even demanding a full refund for my $50 order. I simply asked for the portion that I could no longer eat because of how badly the meal affected me. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REFUND ME. I have the conversation on record. And guess what? I NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND. That honestly made this experience even worse. It's one thing to have a bad meal. It's another thing to have a customer reach out respectfully, explain what happened, ask for a reasonable partial refund, be told that the refund is coming, and then never receive it. I genuinely wanted to love this place. I wanted good Indian food. Instead, I spent $50 on a meal I couldn't eat, threw the food away, spent TWO DAYS THROWING UP, and then never received the refund I was promised. So I'm leaving this review because I would NOT return, and I would personally warn people to think twice before spending their money here. If you're willing to take the risk, that's your choice. But after MY experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant AT ALL. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Everything is fantastic! The butter chicken is fantastic. The tacos are fantastic. Service is a little slow but also fantastic.

The only thing I need warn about this place is to make sure you have time to wait. We came right when they opened for lunch and probably waited 20-25 minutes for all our food. I hate to be the one, but... This restaurant has a gorgeous interior, interesting menu (and the food is delicious!) but the service is abysmal!! We got there at noon on Sunday, directly after church. There was one 8 top when we walked in, and that was all the entire time we were there. We started with Channai 65, delicious cauliflower. At least 4 things my husband wanted to order were not available, and the lowest spice level the curry is available in is hot. This must be nuclear, because the medium is HOT. So we ordered the Aloo Gobi for me, and my husband settled in the tandoori chicken Bindi and an order of butter naan. Mine arrived and was really good. I had a bite thinking my husband's was coming out directly after. He told me to eat , and I did, until I had eaten what I could. Still no Bindi. The server never stopped back, or we would have asked for his dish. Finally we got her and asked her about the Bindi. She said she was waiting for us to eat the Aloo Gobi, assuming we were sharing everything. What we shared instead was an extreme dislike for an otherwise promising restaurant. read more

Indian spices are such an explosion of spices in your mouth and I find them quite tasty. If something is too spicy order the Riata side and it will mellow the spice. This is our third time to come here. The food is very flavorful and well made and fresh. It is one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at. And we have friends from India who recommended this place months ago and it took us awhile to get here but it is very worth it. The prices are decent. The service is good. We liked the butter chicken as probably the best one we have ever had. The naan is very fresh and perfectly tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is very nice with some couches and Indian decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like how they serve the food in clay pots and the drinks in brass cups and carafes. I would only suggest to add more egg to your Briyani if someone orders that. Add ice to the carafe so water is served cold not warm. I would also recommend to offer to pack up to go items as it is cumbersome to pack up your own leftovers and part of the experience is that someone does it for you. Especially at a tiny table. It was all so fresh and hot and every dish has a spice level. We started with chicken tacos, spicy and when I say good, that is an understatement! It wasn't too spicy but a good spicy. The chicken was fresh and the flavorful. Lamb balls (like ground beef meatballs) buttered chicken and goat. All dishes came with rice that was fragrant and super fresh. Naan bread comes onion, garlic or plain so we enjoyed garlic and again, great choice. I did not eat a full lamb ball because the taco filled me up but I wanted to taste it all. Buttered chicken was rich and flavorful. Both lamb and chicken were in a beautiful rich gravy, omg to die for good. I don't eat goat but my bestie said it was lovely. The cost was on par and did not break the bank. My total was $83. My apologies that I didn't use the traditional names for the dishes enjoyed. The staff was patient, very nice and engaging. What better way to test out how a restaurant will be than to go on a holiday? We went on Christmas Day right before they closed and everything we had tasted excellent. Service for refills was a bit slow but it was a holiday so we will give grace for that. The food was very fresh and tasted like it was made from scratch. The sauces and garlic naan were great. The restaurant is a mix of modern and traditional decor. Would love to visit during the day. There were some strong fragrance plug ins throughout the restaurant but they unplugged them at our request (I'm allergic). Why try to cover up the aromatic smells of great food? We are looking forward to coming back. We have tasted a lot of Indian food in Memphis and I have to say that this is the best so far. read more
