The service here alone is a reason to come. They are the kindest people ever and will never let you dine in without giving you something complimentary like kulfi. The food is amazing and will never go anywhere else for Indian cuisine. read more

This is the best Indian restaurant in Memphis!! The atmosphere was so calm and serene. All the workers were very kind, service was amazing, and the food was exquisite! I would recommend 100%!!! read more

I ordered the non vegetarian dinner via Uber Eats. This may be the best meal I have ordered through Uber Eats. There was enough food for 2-3 meals. Everything arrived at perfect temperature and was delicious! Service was great as the meal was ready very quickly. I will definitely be ordering again. read more

Very good food. I thought the buffet prices were high ($16) for a weekday buffet that only had a few entrees on it.

Just like Texas food tastes different than Louisiana fare the same can be said about indian regional cooking. India Palace serves absolutely yummy southern Indian delicacies that scream out what I want in a indian restaurant. Spicy, vibrant and wonderful. We had the palik paneer, a creamed spinach mixture loaded with a farmers style cheese. .. with chicken korma - a creamy spicy chicken dish. Garlic naan flat bread and rice flavored with caraway and butter. Can't described hou wonderful. The service is impeccable, you know the kind with 4 or 5 waiters per table. And don't forget to get the chai tea. Best I ever had. It is all ala cart so it can get expensive quickly so bring friends and share a few selections. Took a star off for the prices as it makes a trip here become a once in a while place instead of a weekly occasion. Don't forget the dessert, weusually get the pistachio and mango ice cream or the rice pudding. This is the kind of place that I judge. All other indian restaurants against. And it's not in cordova, where all the best asian places are. read more

I had heard good things about India Palace years and I finally got the opportunity to try it for myself. I was pleased by the welcoming atmosphere upon arrival and my date & I were able to be seated immediately. My date was familiar with the restaurant and ordered Papadum, which was so addictively good. It was crispy and delicious. The accompanying sauces were perfect. He also ordered garlic rubbed naan bread which paired perfectly with the sauce from my chicken korma. The korma was well prepared and savory. I could've eaten a second serving. My date ordered the chicken vindaloo, which was first favorite. It was ok for me. Lastly, he ordered an Indian beer, which was light and refreshing and perfect for providing a crisp finish for our dinner. I can't wait to return. Sorry no pictures. I didn't want to weird out my date read more

I've been going to Indian Palace for years. Love the food. The service is excellent...... had not been in several months. Today we went for lunch it was buffet. The food was even more outstanding than the last time I was there.... Check the hours before you go. They're open for lunch and then they close up ... and are back to Open for 530 for dinner. read more

This is such a quaint place that is very spacious and has such a nice vibe. I love the decor. It is a great place for a large party for sure. SERVICE The service there is very welcoming and kind. I've read from other reviews that this is family owned. I've been to some family-owned establishments, and they have proved that hospitality is not synonymous to ownership, lol. I'm happy to know that they are very kind and like to give samples for you to try so you can get more of an experience than what you are just safe with. I got the butter chicken and the Samosas. I also had the Garlic Naan. All of my food was to go, and I'm happy to say the food traveled well. I love the spice level they recommended as well. This is a great upgrade from the Bombay House restaurant off Germantown. I haven't gone there in years because of their health scores, and I kept having dirty glasses smh. This is a definite upgrade from that restaurant! read more

The BEST Indian spot in the Memphis area!! Amazing food every time and the staff is very kind. Will never go anywhere else!

This is a great family friendly restaurant (also I'm very bias when it comes to this review)

My daughter and I had a taste for indian food and decided to stop here. Specifically we wanted a buffet so we can try many things. We came on a Saturday and indulged in their buffet. It was wasn't a huge variety but enough to get the job done. We had curry chicken, chicken Tikka masala, mixed veggies, lamb meatballs and a couple of other things I can't recall the name. The food was good. It wasn't as spicy as I would like but I'm thinking the spice level needed to be neutral to accommodate all. The sauce and fresh jalepenos helped with that. The servers were straight to the point. Not overly friendly but not rude at all. They were sure we had fresh garlic naan and they replenished our drinks constantly. The dining space was rather large. Nothing too fussy. It was very casual which worked for us. They were some nice paintings on the walls of animals. If we are in the area again and have a taste for indian cuisine we'd definitely stop in: read more

This is my "go to" restaurant for Indian Food. The lunch buffet is always of the highest quality and delicious. You must try all of the offerings at least once. The staff are always welcoming and happy to see me as my late husband and I were regulars for lunch. The ambiance is perfect with tables and booths perfectly space for easy conversation among guests and the decor' brings it all together in a beautiful, comfortable setting. Only the best in Midtown! There are no pictures because the food was eaten and enjoyed before I thought about writing the review. Give it a try and you will keep coming back for more! Emma Childers read more

Extremely delicious! Cute atmosphere with Indian touches. We started with vegetable samosas and shared dishes of chicken tikka and chana masala. We paired this with the chili naan and aloo paratha, and a side of mixed pickle. My uncle was from South India, and their chana reminded me of his, absolutely delish. Honestly it all was. If I had any constructive feedback, it would be to move the to go area to a separate door (it's obvious they get a lot of business this way, but it can be distracting for the in person diners). The Gulab Jamon is also delicious and goes well with unsweetened masala chai. If you know Indian food, their pickle is incomparable. It is homemade and they include serrano! Honestly, LOVE this unexpected Indian gem in Memphis! read more

The buffet was amazing. Everything I tried was great. The salad was crisp and fresh. All of the vegetables were delicious, I especially liked the spinach. Basmati rice was perfect! Butter Chicken is my favorite and theirs was terrific! Had to get seconds on that. The Curry Chicken was delightful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. From the moment we arrived to when we left, I felt like we were being cared for by friends. I loved the decor and the feeling of the restaurant. As I walked in the door I could tell the entire restaurant was clean. And beautiful. I've only lived in Memphis for about six weeks. This was the first time I got to visit India Palace. It was the first of many more visits to come. I'm going to be a regular! read more

I remember first visiting India Palace about 20 years ago, and the restaurant still has that familiar local experience vibe when we visited this time. Food was plentiful and everyone at our table relished the different plates before us. From the first pappad to the end of the meal, we ate like kings in a pleasant, friendly, and well-cherished restaurant. read more

The ambiance of the place is really nice! We were seated to a table within seconds of walking in. Sat and ordered what seemed to be the most popular in the menu. The complete dinners are really a bang for your buck, including rise dish, vegetables and meat. The Tandoori dinner was excellent. read more

THE Indian restaurant to visit in Memphis. The kindest staff and always looking to improve your experience with some dessert! Fresh delicious food, Chill and quiet environment, friendly staff, overall a 10/10. read more

Walked in and placed a to go order. Soon as I walked in, I was greeted and a man took my order. It was my first time there. It's pretty cold outside now, and I noticed it was pretty warm inside, which was great. I ordered butter chicken and naan. The food took about ten minutes and cost 24 dollars and some change. I'll probably eat off of it for two days as it's a lot for me, but for just one meal, not sure how often I'd order it for lunch. Back to the food, the meal was delicious. It's so good and fresh. Full of flavor. I hate I'm just now trying them. I tried another Indian spot here and didn't like it. But India Palace was very good. I'll try more menu items next time. read more

Place is garbage, dude told me at 3pm they are closed when they clearly serving people, just me, and it says they close at 3:30pm everywhere. If you didn't want to sit any more people just say that but don't lie and say you "tRiEd to fIX" the newly printed sign of hours on the door when you even told me to "gO LoOk" and realized you're wrong, it even says it on the site and website. read more

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and the sweetest people! I especially love the lamb meatballs. They're always extremely attentive, and sometimes they even throw in a free little dessert. read more

The lunch buffet is an absolute 5 star experience for sure! It's nothing fancy, but it's everything you need. There are always several main options (chicken tikka masala, lamb meatballs, chicken curry, etc.) and tons of sides with a few dessert options as well. There is certainly enough to make a meal plus a few, and while the taste isn't as incredible as their entrees for dinner, it is really solid. I've never had anything bad or close to it, and I'm certainly full when leaving. The service is efficient and kind of catchall; they certainly get the job done. Our waiter was really nice to our three year old and even gave him a little mango drink at the end as a nice treat. We've been before but hadn't been in a while, and we will definitely be back! read more

I am a happy happy customer every time I come! This is the best restaurant in Memphis. From take out to dine in to the lunch buffet, consistent delicious options. I am a big fan of the Korma and Saag Paneer, as well as the samosa. I'd add pictures, but it's too good. The atmosphere and stuff are inviting, and the food is delicious. 100000/10 read more

The food was delicious. Best butter I've had in a very long time. The mango Lassi was made to perfection.

The food was really yummy- I also enjoyed the free appetizer and desert they gave us. Went to celebrate my birthday there this year and they were all very friendly. A little sad they didn't have the dish I wanted that day- all out of goat- but I get it. Otherwise very good, family style meal! The chili naan was so good and the spice built up very nicely. Got the medium spice level for my curry and didn't feel the heat from that too much. It was my first time here and I'm always cautious with heat levels at Indian restaurant but I might do spicy next time! read more

I received a suggestion from a local to try this place out since I was looking for various cuisines while I was visiting the area. I was not disappointed by the portions, flavor or price. I ordered the assorted snack since I couldn't decide between the appetizers and this is a great way to try some of their fried delicacies. Pakoras - both veggie and chicken, along with some samosas were tasty, hot, and crispy! I had the chicken curry for my entree with garlic naan. The chicken was tender and the curry gravy was flavorful and warming. The garlic naan was soft and chewy, with a hint of garlic. Their rice was fluffy and they gave me an extra side of rice to go with my leftovers. I was very full but their dessert menu looked promising. The restaurant has been voted best Indian restaurant in Memphis from 1996 and there were a lot of to-go orders going out the door during my visit. read more

Food, service and ambiance not good. The food has ZERO FLAVOR, which is strange. Cafe India is the better restaurant to visit. The food was 100% disappointing in zero flavor. The buffet is not worth it, has extremely limited selections. read more

Easily our favorite Indian restaurant in town, and one of our favorites overall. The food is always excellent across a variety of proteins and vegetarian options - we've never been disappointed across 20+ meals! And I can't say enough about the exceptional staff, who always takes great care of us whether we're dining in or picking up takeout, like we were today. Definitely consider calling them directly instead of using an online ordering app - those services take their fees out of the restaurants, and in our experience India Palace invariably throws in some free samosas or a mango lassi (both of which are super delicious!) as a way of saying thanks for cutting out the middleman. read more

Oh my gosh, my husband and I came here last week for a quick bite. We were planning on reviewing but then had the worst week of our life. Still, through it all we have remembered to review them and thought of it often. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and generously portioned. Service was amazing and they even gave us extra samosas, which were huge and amazing, and extra bread when we packed up. Amazing, 5/5 read more

We stopped in for the lunch buffet today and were seated almost immediately. Even if the parking lot is full, do not be deterred. There is sufficient space inside. The service was quick and friendly. The food was hot, regularly replaced, and included a mixture of vegetarian, chicken, and lamb options. I'm generally not a buffet person, but this restaurant was clean and taken care of. The price point was fair, and on two different occasions, the staff went above and beyond to make our meal a great one. I know we'll return soon. read more
