Veg somosas
Goose R.

Little strip mall Indian restaurant. Menu items are not labeled as vegan or not but the person taking care of us knew exactly which ones were and not. He (Bobby) helped us order vegan items from the menu. We got the challa masala and a veggie curry, roti bread and a couple of veg somosas and the vegetable fried rice. We got the lowest spicy because of a friend that cannot handle spicy at all. It's all prepared fresh since we had to wait 30 minutes for our order. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Food was good. Sadly , too late I found out they sell lamb which is one of the items I try to boycott. So probably won't come again

I came with my sister to this place since we were in the area. The reviews were ok. So we decided to give it a try. We both ordered the daal soup and curry chicken. One medium heat the other one, mild heat. And naan. The food in general lacked flavor to me. It was heat and no flavor. The daal soup had too many chunks of ginger. It kept getting stuck on my throat making me cough. Could not eat it. The naan was too plain. Just flour dough. But the worse?? It was the price plus the gratuity of 20%. Mandatory!!! As stated by the menu in the back with small letter that I did not see. Or was not informed prior to ordering. I had gave the waiter already $5 cash tip. He wasn't event attentive or graceful enough to deserve 20%. I was very upset. But I will never come back. If you go with a family of 4, expect to pay over $100 plus tip. Crazy!!!

Great food. Chicken tika masala was on point. Ordered at 4/5 level and was a good spicy heat. Not too hot at all. Food served at great temp and speed. TajMahal had to accompany this dish. Will be visiting again!

This place is near my work so I decided to try them out and ordered to go on my way home from work one day. The food wasn't terrible it just didn't taste up to par with other places we usually go to. I can't see us coming back. The Garlic Naan was good but very thin and not very filling. The Tikka Masala was normal but somehow just not the same. It could be they make theirs differently based on what region they're from. It wasn't so horrible I wouldn't return but with so many other options around I just can't see us picking here again. Love: - Naan: Garlic - Tikka Masala: Chicken (spicy level maximum - Tikka Masala (spicy level medium) Liked: - Butter Chicken (spicy level: medium) Ok: - Tikka Masala: Vegetarian (spicy level: medium)

Love Mantra! The Chicken 65 is a must. Delicious and a great heat level. This time we also go the Lamb Biryani and it was fantastic. The biryani had an excellent flavor. We love the samosas as well!

Met an old friend here for dinner and it was the perfect place. Low-key atmosphere, pretty clean and comfortable, and amazing food. We got samosas for an appetizer (no picture, sorry, but they were great!) and I had chicken curry, with some naan of course. It felt a little pricey, we each spent like $42 (with 20% tip) for just the entrees, naan, and the $10 app. Also, the service was a little slow, we had to wait for a minute to get more water which was tragic because I can't handle my spice. Very minor concern though since the food was so delicious and the vibe was so nice. I would come back again tomorrow.

The food was amazing! We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken 65. Both were spiced just right. We'll definitely be back!

Just tried this place out and it was fabulous!! Food was super delicious and portioned pretty…read moreadequately! Very relaxed ambiance, would have been nicer with some music, but still very nice! Very pretty inside as well! You do have to flag the waiters down, but very accommodating once you have their attention. Plenty of parking outside as well. I'll be back!

Swadisht | Delicious!! Best Dosa I've had, chewy and…read morethicker, so flaky and crisp, than ones I've tried previously in Portland that were wafer thin without the body here. Still thinking about the texture and the tangy and quite spicy 3.5/5 thin red curry, the potato curry dips that reigned supreme vs the creamy earthy finger white one. Plain Dosa $10.99 5/5* All 3 curries were yummo and while no lunch menu here, the curries do come with white basmati rice. Oddly the goat in Andhra Curry $19.99 appeared quite white in color and thought it was chicken thigh hmm but hubby loved it. 'Hot' was about as spicy as the red Dosa curry Butter Chicken mild $17.99 was yum, not overly creamy or cloyingly sweet that tends to be a problem I am sure as adjusted for US palates but Social D's was great though less tomato forward, but very worthy. Lamb Saagwala $19.99 medium was actually kinda mild (again that Dosa curry musta got us spice prepped haha) in a green sea of creamy spinach. Garlic butter naan #3.99 was crisp, thin middle, puffy edges with slight doughy chew, very good, and a 2nd order soon followed. Taj Mahal bottled beer $5.99 had a deep golden color, very malty palate mixed with a slight hop for a balanced day lager, an easy lunch sip. My BILaw was against trying Indian food, get this 'second' time claiming it was not for him, turned out loves everything we ordered today and professed to a return in future!! Yee ha! Menu is extensive with Rice Biryanis - unusual to see 4 distinct styles from different regions vs the generic rice biryani with different proteins. And Poori the hollow puffs with veg/curry dips. Again more unusual curry offerings include a couple not familiar with, Kadahi-Chettinaad-Andhra. And an Indo-Chinese menu that I've not come across in any US or UK menu. As out of state visitors I am sure SDIC will get another family billing, with our new fan of both Indian and in particular, Social D's Indian cuisine ;)
