We came here for breakfast with family and friends. The service was good, the staff friendly and very accommodating, and the location is great. A lot of menu options but I found the food to be meh. I ordered the breakfast burrito without meat so I got eggs, potatoes, and avocado which does not carry well, in the way of flavor. Maybe that's my fault for asking for an altered item but perhaps some beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, or onions would have given it more profile. Just a suggestion. Recently my teenage daughter went to the River Front Cafe with a couple of friends and didn't have enough money on her to pay for her entire order. The owner told her not to worry about it and covered the rest of the bill. Her friend later found $10 in her pocket and tried to pay the rest of the tab, but the owner said it was already taken care of and told my daughter's friend to keep her money. Such kindness. We love the River Front Cafe. Great food, very friendly kind staff, and love sitting along the water. It's also casual and a great place to bring our dog along. I ordered through DoorDash today, ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on crossaint and a falafel wrap. The egg sandwich was good! The falafel sandwich was inedible, I had to throw it away! Yuck! The rich and smooth sauce was the perfect complement to the warm spiciness of the sausage and onion. The side of homestyle potatoes was hearty without being heavy. The portion was so generous that I only ate half of the potatoes, even though they were delicious and this was my first food in 18 hours. My wife loved her pancakes too, which were unusually light and fluffy. The pancakes were just $10.95 and my eggs benedict $14.95. Both great value for the quality and quantity of food in such an attractive location. The service was fast and friendly. You order at the counter, take a number, and then the food is delivered to your table. It seemed unpretentious, yet had some classy touches, including the quality crockery and cotton napkins. Each of many times I have been to river Front Cafe, it has been excellent. Fast & efficient service. Four of us met for lunch/brunch. I had the River Front Benediction as it is called. Two poached eggs,, each on a crab cake, and half an English muffin. Served with a choice of hash browns or roasted potatoes. Out of this world! Family owned, all working hard constantly. Taking only a brief lunch break, at a table near us. We sat and talked for 4 hours. A hot day, we sat inside where it was very cool. We hope to go many times, trying a different item each time. Is it a seafood restaurant in France that serves 200 dollar bottles of wine - no - but it is a great place that has a wide menu - with a ton of Greek alternatives that are really worth trying. I personally go to the salads or burgers and sit out on the pier area and look at the water. A real nice local experience and one that I will keep going back too. Pretty solid food, but what elevates this place is their patio along the Petaluma River! We happened upon this wonderful cafe yesterday and it was so good! We ordered online (10% discount when ordering online) and our order was hot and ready when we arrived. The prices were super reasonable. My husband got the breakfast burrito with bacon. It was HUGE and delicious! The bacon cheeseburger was one of the best I've ever had, the burger was cooked perfectly, the lettuce was crispy, tomatoes perfect, I mean...look at the picture of it. Super clean inside and the manager was cleaning his register, screen, keypad, and hands in between each transaction (most corporate spots don't enforce that). Made me so happy! My husband and I (and the pups) really enjoy coming here for breakfast. We always look for outdoor dining, even pre covid, so we can have our pups with us - so this was a huge plus for us. Right on the river is just lovely, and keeps the pups entertained. We've had multiple benedicts, breakfast sandwiches, omelets and the sweet crepe with Nutella and fruit. Today I had the North Bay Eggs Benedict which really hit the spot with perfectly grilled onions, mushroom, tomatoes, avocado and spinach. My husband had the ham and cheese omelette, which he loved as well. The food has never been greasy, nice large portions and usually comes out pretty quickly. The coffee is good as well! Really excited to try this place, it's such a great location to have breakfast. Unfortunately, we were disappointed for several reasons. We ordered two benedictions, and after, a crepe. First, it was an extremely long wait to get our breakfast and there were not that many people in the restaurant. Second, the food was cold, the hollandaise sauce tasted like it came from a can, and the hashbrowns tasted like they had been purchased previously frozen. The poached eggs were overcooked, and honestly, the food just did not taste that fresh. The ham is too thin to let sit on a grill, it gets rubbery. My husband agreed that everything really tasted like diner food or Denny's, with most of the ingredients purchased at a place like Smart & Final Or Costco. The off putting flavor of the oil also really came through in the hashbrowns. Third, We ordered a crepe for dessert, one with the nuts in it, and we asked them to put strawberries inside. Crepes and pancakes are very different. Crepes are thin and delicate, pancakes are thick and fluffy. What came to our table was a very large pan-crêpe, very thick stuffed with a huge pile of nuts and cinnamon and nothing else. Two dollups of whip cream and no strawberries. How is somebody supposed to eat that? We sadly had to return it and could not wait for another because the weight was too long and our kids play soccer. To their credit, the wait staff was very friendly and understanding. I just do not think the Mediterranean owner understands that in Sonoma County, you really want to make everything fresh, and you don't want to serve up food that's premade or frozen. We have so many fresh options here, we are concerned that the restaurant won't make it and we hope the owner will take any comments like ours in reviews as constructive. Perhaps they do serve very good burgers, and salads. We intend to give them another try simply because they are new and need to work out the kinks. I will update my review if the second go around disappoints further. read more

Nice waterfront setting, cloth napkins, good lighting artwork, and they have opened it up for a much better space than the previous Apple Box. The owner checked in with us as did the wait staff several times. So that's all good. Now the food. Nicely presented, just not flavorful as you were hoping and expecting from a Mediterranean place. Where are the spices and flavors to make it pop? There's a big difference between spices and having it spicy. The owner said some people complained it was too spicy, so he reduced the spices.
