    9oz Rocky Mountain Trout
    Mark S.

Had high hopes for this place, The room amd table where nice and the view was perfect for Vail. Prices are steep even for Vail with the food just being ok. Some items where better including the burrata and my friends Duck. The Trout was good but not great. The problem I have with this place is the way the side orders for the tomahawk steak was sold to the table. 3 kids shared the steak for 170. Yeah I know spoiled... They where told BU the waitress to order sides family style. They where brought cold mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and something else. Each where $24 per. Total scam high margin move for this place that just made the bill that much more difficult to digest after sub par service and just meal. I would stay away from this place unless they make some serious effort to address these and other challenges.

We had great service and an amazing meal. Wedge salad and gnocchi were some favorites.

The service was good but the food was cold and not so good. There are not a lot of options on the menu.

We were staying down the street from The Four Seasons and wanted to pop in for a drink after dinner…read moreat the Remedy Bar. We walked in and it appeared to be a quiet night, we could see the bar was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we were staying at the hotel and we said no, we were dropping by for cocktails and wished to sit outside. She told us we could sit inside at a couch area by the entrance. One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. If you can sit outside at a fire pit I would recommend doing so.

Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting. Overall, Remedy Bar delivers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and a cozy mountain-luxury experience. I would absolutely recommend stopping in if you're visiting Vail.

A really lovely experience in Vail. The Austrian ambiance is over the top on just the right way,…read moreand it fits in with Vail's faux-Alp atmosphere quite well. The food was also delicious. I tried the porcini mushroom soup with truffle dumplings and all of it was delicious and savory and warm, and even served with a delightful carnation on the side! For the main course I tried the pork shank (Schweinsaxon?) and the meat was fall off the bone good. The mashed potatoes were tasty but the sauerkraut was truly phenomenal. It's not a bargain meal, but it's not nearly as expensive as it could be, being tucked into Vail and visited by a very wealthy cadre of visitors. The service was also great. I commented on one of the waitstaff's steampunk goggles and he asked if I wanted to try them on for a photo op. I declined, but laughed at the invitation. All our questions were answered with politeness and ease, and I was quickly taken care of when I asked to buy a slice of cake on the way out. Would love to make this an annual December visit tradition.

I want to give kudos for a very friendly, attentive staff. However, the cheese fondue dinner was a…read morecomplete disappointment. The amount of fondue was absolutely paltry, especially given it was supposed to serve two people and cost $80. We had a nearly full basket of bread remaining after eating all the cheese. They also provided boiled potatoes and blanched vegetables to dip in the cheese along with dried fruit but that only made the meager cheese situation worse. It was more appetizer sized and even the fondue itself was bland and lackluster with no flavors of kirsch, wine, or other seasonings. We had to go somewhere else to actually get dinner. I appreciate the waiter discounting our meal to try and make up for it. The portions of the other entrees looked good so maybe go here for those and skip the fondue.
