Rustic, farm to table? Just another high priced chain style restaurant . The dining room is so loud and the service is just ok.

We decided to try Harvest for our last dinner before heading home. Made a reservation online having no idea it was inside a private golf club, but there was no reason to fret. Service was friendly immediately upon arrival, and we had a great table overlooking the mountains and near the beautiful fireplace. The service was very attentive! We had the wings to start which were excellent. Then we shared the chicken sandwich and burger, my husband had the salmon entree and said it was great. They gave the kids waters in perfect reusable metal kids cups. They also gave them little drawing tablets to keep them entertained, which they loved. Super innovative idea! read more

Waitress was inattentive. The bar area is right near the dining which normally would be fine but there was a drunk person being loud and obnoxious. Diners complained but were told he was a member and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. read more

A nice rustic farm to table restaurant with a patio overlooking Arrowhead Mountain. We had an early dinner during our ski trip to Beaver Creek and was sat near the windows by the patio which has a nice Mountain View. Our server was nice and food was decent. We had the delicious Lemon al Ajillo Shrimp as appetizer. My hubby ordered the Harvest Burger while I opted for the Pan Seared Salmon. The salmon was flavorful with the crispy skin and light celery root purée. One thing tho was they didn't time it right to bring out the entrees, we were not even half way done on the appetizer when they brought the main course out. Both dishes were sitting on the table while we rushed to finish the appetizer. Overall it was a nice dinner and we enjoyed it. read more

This was a lovely spot for lunch! The view was great on the back patio. The service was good, family friendly, and nice menu for food/ alcohol. I ordered the berry creek salad with salmon. It was fresh and yummy! We also got the shrimp bruschetta appetizer which was light and delicious. My friends enjoyed the peach flatbread, clam chowder soup, and Hawaiian chicken sandwich. Great location and amazing view. Fish taco appetizer was really good. Everything else was just okay. The drinks were terrible. Terrible. Had a Colorado mule first, which I didn't even finish. Tried a Long Island top shelf (because I figured they couldn't screw that up) but that was also pretty bad. Overall, good ambience but average food. read more

What a view! The patio here is beautiful and the food is pretty great as well! I would recommend the Hawaiian style chicken sandwich and the sweet potato fries. Also the shrimp bruschetta is a great appetizer to share. read more

Negative stars would be too good for this over priced, pretentious cafeteria. Once upon a time, it was warm, welcoming and friendly club restaurant. After extensive 'modernization' it is a hard edged open space with the charm of a bad high school populated by surly, indifferent ill trained staff. Service is appalling. Drinks can take 30 minutes, dinner an hour , and this is the sandwiches. Women shouldn't bother trying to order a drink because male bartenders won't make eye contact and frequently refuse to see or serve you. The menu makes no sense, and remains the same lunch and dinner. Drinks are the shortest pour and most expensive in the Vail Valley. read more

I think at some point this was supposed to be a innovative farm to table restaurant by Kelly Likken. I understand she is no longer associated. It feels a bit sad now. We came in for brunch today. Besides a couple of golfers getting coffee, we were the only people there. It's the off-season so I didn't expect it to be packed, but it was completely empty. We were not greeted and our table was dirty with crumbs all over the chairs. Our waiter was helpful, and the food was okay. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches. They were good. Nothing spectacular, but good. I do think this will ever be a place that will appeal to anyone but a golfer grabbing a drink and lunch after 18 holes. Not worth the trek from Vail. read more

Dropped in without a reservation and was not able to eat...but was underwhelmed by the setting...looked like a mountain bar that has seen better days. Then as we were leaving there was a tired old cowboy from the 60's going in with his guitar to serenade the diners...we were glad we were leaving. The details and options were clear, the communication timely and their helpfulness in every area was over the top. We had an outstanding event! Food was good and reasonably priced for lunch. Service was slow . We had to track the waiter down 3 times to get a refill on our drinks. Then find him to get the ticket to pay. Then wait another 15 minutes to get it back. Maybe 2-3 waiters for too many tables. read more

I loved the wide, yet perfected, menu selections. This place is cool because you can have a group with a vegan, gluten-free, carnivore, etc. and find something delectable for everyone. My mother had a glorified salad-type meal with eggs, arugula, and fish, which she loved. My father loved his duck dish as well. The atmosphere could use a little sprucing up. The dining room is somewhat bland and the tables look outdated. The table next to us was extremely loud and the place was fairly empty so I am not sure why we were sat in that location but it's our bad for not asking to move. read more

I came here with my fiancé we both ordered wings. They were great! We also loved the atmosphere. On the other hand our server Elena never once had a smile and at the end of our meal I ordered a Sleepless city. She let me know that they might not be able to make one but she would check. I went here with a couple nights ago for a nice dinner. Extremely disappointed to say the salmon was dry and bland. The mussels so disappointing and smelled fishy. Our server seemed to know nothing about the wine list or menu. It was bizarre. It was almost as this place just opened. Mediocre food and terrible service. The absolute best view in probably the entire Vail-Gypsum area, the staff here do an amazing job of welcoming and taking care of guests, and allowing them to enjoy homey, simple delicious dishes w/ spectacular views. We had an enjoyable time and will be back but hope that as the new restaurant gets settled things will improve. The new space is great. Love the looks. The cocktails from the bar were excellent. We enjoyed them a lot and could imagine returning just for drinks. Sitting at the bar or on the deck looked like a great way to spend time. All of our salads were great. In particular we loved the Grilled Radicchio and Heirloom Tomato ones. Chicken wings were only ok, they were overcooked and flavor was ok. The roasted chicken large plate had good flavor but was very small, side by side the two chicken dishes looked strange as the chicken wing small plate was much larger then the large plate. Deserts were all really good. Love having this restaurant in the area and look forward to it evolving. read more

We're members of Sonnenalp and had all but given up on Harvest due to the rotten service. We gave it another shot for lunch today and what a change! Food was great and the service spot on. Staying in Vail for the week and decided to try something on the fancier side. The problem is, this place attempts to be a higher grade restaurant but fails miserably. Make sure you older folks like myself bring a flashlight to read the menu. The lighting at night is dismal. Upon making a reservation for 12 they decided to tell us to split up the tables. Ok not a big deal. It was strange however they gave both tables to the same exact server. What's the difference? After ordering our wine and appetizers we received the appetizers in about 25 min, yet no wine. At this point the restaurant has maybe 3 other tables. I asked the server in training (shadowing our main server) if she could check on the wine. Her response? "Oh, we have to go downstairs to get the wine." So stairs are the issue? The service for the rest of the night was grim as well. I will say the mushroom / goat cheese appetizer was quite tasty. I ordered a burger, nothing fancy and it was fine, but a friend of mine ordered the pork. He said it was the driest piece of meat he has ever had. Others tried it and agreed. Ok no problem, take it back, fix it. The cook did not come out to apologize and from what others could tell, he had a complete hissy fit about the fact that someone felt their meal was over cooked. Things like this happen. Apologize, see what you can do to fix it and move on with it. read more

We've been here a couple times where the service was fine and food was great but last night was a different story. Our server, Mark, appeared to be out of sorts and unorganized from the beginning of the night even though we were one of three tables sitting in the entire restaurant. He had limited menu and drink knowledge and we had to catch his attention to come to the table several times. He sent our food to the wrong table, who accepted it, and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to fire the course again. Even when we got our food it wasn't great, a little cold, and not worth the wait. The most unacceptable part was neither he nor the manager on duty came by to apologize or offer to comp part of the meal. They laughed off the situation and did nothing to alleviate the problem. It's a shame because we liked the restaurant before but all four of us agreed that after this we will never be coming back. read more

Terrible service experience. Returned my overcooked steak and had the cook (not the chef or sous chef) come to my table and tell me he was frustrated with me because he had cooked at Michelin star restaurants and he thought my food was cooked perfectly. My husband and I have dined at Harvest by Kelly Liken three times now. We were there for lunch once and both had sandwiches:, mine was made with naan and lamb, about a 7 out of 10 as the dressing on it kept dripping and the naan was too large for the lamb mixture. My husband had an Italian sandwich which he rated a 7 out of 10. We returned with a group of 8 and my husband and I had the hamburger that we thought was tasty, served with their special sauce instead of ketchup. I thought it needed ketchup. We ate a third time in the evening and I ordered the octopus small plate. I would rate that a 10. It was excellent. My husband had the burger again. We will return to Harvest. It is within walking distance of our home and the mountain views are lovely. Inside the decor is fresh, light and cheerful. We found the uniforms of the wait staff to be awful. They wear cheap, white tee shirts that come across as undershirts. These are covered with large aprons. The pants are jeans. The look Harvest is trying to project falls flat with the uniforms. read more

I dined here previously when it was under Kelly Liken and was not at all impressed. I recently returned and learned that Chef Rosa had taken it over. What a huge and noticeable improvement. This is by far the best food you can get in Edwards and at a great price point. I highly recommend the Pasta e Vino special on Saturday nights! I had the gnocchi with sun-dried tomatoes and it was by far the best gnocchi I have had in the US. This will be my new regular neighborhood spot. read more

We had a great family lunch here post church one Sunday. Kids loved their kid's meals more than any other restaurant in the Valley. Adult meals were fabulous. Service was excellent complimented by an amazing view sitting outside. We will be back. read more

A great addition to the local restaurant scene. Casual contemporary atmosphere with a large bar area & ample outdoor seating. Interesting menu with several small plate options, done with Kelly Liken's expert flair. We enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad, the smoked trout small plate, the striped bass large plate & the fried green tomatoes, accompanied by a nice red Bordeaux. The paprika kettle chips were just ok. Service wasn't bad for a new restaurant but there is room for improvement. Overall a good experience with fresh, creative fare. We're looking forward to returning to sample more of the tempting menu items. read more

We had a very bad experience at lunch at Harvest on Saturday, July16th; there were 3 of us at the table and we all agree that we would not recommend Harvest and would only come back for the view and maybe a drink. Our server did a very careless job. She served us water when we sat down. We asked for ice since there was none in the water. She brought us a glass of ice. During our meal, she never offered to refill our water. I ordered iced tea. She brought the ice tea. I had to ask for sugar. She never offered me a refill for my tea. We ordered Tempura artichokes = very greasy, under seasoned, tasteless so we sent those back. The burger was very good. We ordered a salad with dressing on the side. She brought the salad but not the dressing, so we asked for the dressing. Once we served ourselves the salad, we realized the dressing was already on the salad. We had to wait and look for her to get the bill. When she brought it, it was for the wrong food or the wrong table with 2 lamb dishes added to our tab. Worst, careless service I've had in a long, long time at any restaurant. The person managing the servers needs to pay attention to what's going on because our server wasn't paying attention, and didn't care, etc.. We did not feel welcomed, cared about but we did feel ignored. read more
