Revolution Roasters is one of my absolute favorite coffee spots in Oceanside. Is the parking a challenge? Absolutely. But it's 100% worth it. This place has such a loyal following that people will happily walk a few blocks just to get their Revo fix. One of my favorite things is their seasonal menu. I've learned to fully embrace each special while it's here because once it's gone, it's gone. Right now, I'm completely obsessed with the Coconut Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. I'm pretty sure the baristas recognize me as "the Sticky Rice Matcha lady" at this point! I'm soaking up every sip while it's in season, and although I'll be sad when it's gone, I know they'll surprise me with something amazing next season. Their food is just as impressive. The toast is delicious, they use Prager Brothers bread, organic avocado, and fresh tomatoes, and you can really taste the difference that quality ingredients make. It's refreshing to find a café that clearly cares about food integrity. Another huge bonus for me is that they offer almond milk. So many coffee shops default to oat milk, but I appreciate having another option that fits my preferences. The only downside is the parking. My strategy is simple: go early if you can. Once it gets busy, finding a spot can be an adventure. But even with that minor inconvenience, Revolution Roasters is absolutely worth the trip. Incredible coffee, thoughtful seasonal drinks, quality ingredients, and a team that clearly cares about what they serve. Easy five stars.
Beverages are the star of the show here. I ordered the iced coconut latte (half sweetness), its creamy coconutty deliciousness. It satisfied my latte craving while adding a tasty tropical sweetness. The cafe is gorgeous, the staffs recommendation to get half sweetness was very helpful and much appreciated. They offered to add more flavor if needed, which was so kind of them. Of the 3 pastries were ordered, I was only really a fan of the pistachio cake. The pistachio was savory but paired with the cream cheese frosting on top it was a sweet and salty treat that stood out as a clear winner. The cafe also sells coffee beans, milk glass mugs and other merch with plenty of seating inside and outside.
Revolution Roasters never misses. Great service, coastal vibe, and great drinks! This visit, I tried both of their seasonal summer drinks: the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha and the Campfire Latte. The Mango Sticky Rice Matcha had mango, coconut, and a coconut foam. The coconut flavor was absolutely delicious, but personally, I wanted a stronger matcha presence - it leaned a little too milky for my taste. If you're more into creamy tropical drinks, though, you'll probably love it. The surprise winner for me was the Campfire Latte. I'm usually not a mocha girl, but this one totally changed my mind. I ordered it half sweet, and it was perfect - smooth and balanced! The spiced dark chocolate paired so well with the marshmallow cold foam and graham cracker topping, and I especially loved the warm spices throughout the drink. Next time, I could definitely see myself ordering a cold brew with that marshmallow foam. Not pictured: the ham & cheese croissant, which is a must-order every single time I'm here. Flaky, savory, and consistently one of my favorites. Good seasonal specials and great food as always!
We visited Carlsbad for a few days and had breakfast in Oceanside. We decided to try this coffee spot as it was right next to the breakfast joint we went to. Coffee 10/10 We ordered their vanilla latte with marshmallow cold foam and their coconut latte with toasted coconut cold foam. Both were incredible! The vanilla latte was not too sweet so the cold foam wasn't overkill at all. Both cold foams are more on the runny side and not too thick. The coconut latte was sooo tasteful. The coconut flavor definitely comes through. This was our first time trying a coconut latte and we were not disappointed. Food 9/10 We didn't order much food or pastries since we had breakfast prior but the pastries did look so good! We did get a salted shortbread to try and it was pretty solid. Vibes/Ambiance : 7/10 We came on a Tuesday morning and it was busy. The space is very spacious and there's plenty of seating area. There were people working there and hanging out. It's an open space so that was nice. The decor is minimal but cute. The staff is okay...I don't know if I'd describe as friendly, but they weren't rude. Not sure if it was the city as a whole but we didn't really feel welcomed or came across too many friendly people. It was the same here. Didn't interact much with us...just took our order and kept it pushing. lol not necessarily a bad thing but it was something we experienced a lot. Overall, the coffee was amazing here.
My morning coffee run to Revolution Roasters fell a bit flat. The coffee was okay and the staff were pleasant, but I didn't leave satisfied. Our main goal of the morning was to try PopUp bagel around the corner, and we needed coffee for the line. We ordered the Coconut Latte & the Maple Latte. They were decent, but with the $1.25 up charge for almond milk, the two drinks were over $8. At that price point, my expectations are high and unfortunately they just weren't met. There's nothing inherently wrong with the coffee at Revolution Roasters so I wouldn't mind giving them another shot. Hopefully a better experience here is in my future.
I drove up to go to Boomers for a school event, and yes, I hit some traffic in the afternoon. The drive made me sleepy, so on my way back, since now the traffic was heavier, I looked for some place to grab a coffee. Revolution came up and was close. Right off of Vista Way in Oceanside. Scored a spot right in front...must've been kismit! They have the regular coffees but also some signature drinks as well. But it looks like there's some seasonal coffees too. Friendly hello when it was my turn. Me: So what do you think, butterscotch or pistachio? He: I would say pistachio because sometimes the butterscotch is too sweet for some. Pistachio it was! So definitely inquire about the seasonal coffees because this was delicious! Great flavor and dark chocolate shavings on top. This helped keep me awake on my long drive home! Love that they're local! Also bought The Colores blend which they happily ground for me, and it is really good! Mellow flavor with a hint of dark chocolate finish. I now have a great spot to stop at if in the area and in need. They have great outdoor seating that's dog friendly, and a nice dining area.
I am always on the hunt for amazing espresso when I travel. My research turned up Revolution Roasters as a top spot in Oceanside and it did not disappoint. There's ample seating inside and outside. The interior space and vibe is clean and spacious. They have a lot of great coffee options and their baked goods and breakfast options are outstanding. The Blueberry sweet corn scone was so good that I had to buy a second one for breakfast the next day. The Avocado and pickled onion toast and breakfast sandwich were also delicious. I highly recommend this spot if you're in south oceanside!!
We LOVE the vibe of this place and really want to love it but we left disappointed today. After spending over $70 on two coffees, three sandwiches, and two danishes- they do not warm up foods they serve cold. The turkey pesto sandwich, ham and cheese croissant, and banana bread, and monkey bread were all cold, and they would not warm them up. It was disappointing as my sandwich alone was $14 and it was too hard to chew without it being warmed up. I would have also loved to have had warm banana bread and warm monkey bread instead of cold. I will say that the Breakfast sandwich was excellent! I wish I had ordered it. (Sorry I didn't get a picture of that one.) I do think it is important to add that when management saw my disappointment, they were very kind and swift to resolve it. For that reason, along with the excellent coffee - I will likely try it again.
Special treat! Small menu, but everything looks good on it. There can be a long line and difficult parking. Lots of outdoor seating. Great for families and dogs.
Revo Americano! Friendly staff and yummy pastries and savory food. Visible menu was fantastic because where ever you stood inline you could decide what you wanted to order. Coffee order was quick and ambiance was very clean with an open interior concept. I Brought my Popup Bagels to Revo and enjoyed them both on the patio!
Okay drink. great vibe. enought parking, chill crew. would come back again if i come by the are. its convenient they are right next to jean's ice cream
Stopped by Revolution Roasters while we were in Oceanside and enjoyed coming here on our morning walks. The coffee was good, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the shop had a really nice vibe. Service was friendly and everything came out quickly. Definitely a great coffee stop and somewhere we'd come back to next time we're in the area.
Revo Roasters has really stepped Up their game and become my fav coffee in O'side. They have the best flat-white in the game hands down. Get up, surf the harbor, grab a flat-white at Revolution Roasters, sit in the sun on their patio while I drink it and start my work day at a 10/10 in happiness.

A perfect rating is what appears when you look up this renown Roaster alongside South Coast Highway. Be prepared to circle the block for a while as it's a very crowded and busy street. Try to head to the back alley as there are some spaces back there but if full only choice is the street and can be very limitless. As for the shop itself it is a modern simplistic theme with kind customer service but the wait can be a while as for two people it was at least 15 minutes. But the actual product was not impressive as was bland and watery. Perhaps this is an establishment that has its focus on only coffee vs coffee alternatives so this is understandable but nonetheless was not satisfying considering the high expectations. read more

Although it's a little pricey i love this coffee shop. It's got a great rotating seasonal menu, good standard menu and food items, and everything is quality. Their coconut latte right now and anything with their cold foam is amazing. Grab a morning bun with your coffee - you will not be disappointed. I also enjoy their Night Shift dark roast whole beans to add to my coffee arsenal at home. read more

It is hard to find a coffee shop that has friendly service while serving delicious coffee. Luckily this coffee shop offers them all. I got there 30 mins before they close. I was expecting a rude/eye rolling attitude considering that I wanted to enjoy my latte at the shop. But instead the baristas were super nice and my latter was delicious. The coffee shop itself is super cute. There are some street parking in front of the store along with their private parking on the side. I have visited many coffee shops and Revolution is one of my favorites! read more

Grabbed a mid-day iced americano + oat milk -- smooth, bright, flavorful, good 16 oz size, the forgiving tall plastic lids in case you swish around. Warm and efficient service, 0 complaints. Picked up a bag of their light roast. I think it was a washed Ethiopia at $18 or $19 to brew at home and it has been one of my favorite roasts all year (I try a different roast every week from one of my subscriptions). There's also plenty of seating -- inside and outside on the patio. I loved that part of it as we were visiting Oceanside so wanted to sit out and people watch for a little bit. Loved the design of the space! read more

I really wanted to like it here, after reading the positive reviews and browsing the overall menu and eyeing the pastries, but unfortunately it fell short after trying two different lattes (butterscotch and honeycomb - neither of which tasted like the ingredients), but one star for staff effort and one star because my daughter loved her strawberry pop tart. With so many coffee shops and roasters in the popular downtown area - I bet it's hard to choose which one to love, but for me this isn't it. read more

Small coffee shop lined up with highway 101. Highly recommend visiting and ordering their beverages along with their multiple pieces of toast options. This is where the hardest part takes place, as you'll have to make a choice between a list of extensive items. Their avocado-tomato toast, and their (I believe seasonal) fig toast, WOW, especially the fig option. We had iced tea and chai latte with an added shot of espresso and it was quite spectacular! Definitely recommend! :) read more
The best thing about fall and winter...is a warm beverage. Coffee is my favorite hot drink, for the cooler California mornings and evenings. I like Revolution Roasters for a couple reasons. First they have an laid back patio, totally dog friendly in the front. Second, they have parking nearby, on the street or in their small lot to the right side. I love Revolution Roasters for one reason, the seasonal Maple Latte. A morning with the dog, an afternoon yoga class nearby or an evening visit with the husband as a treat. PS They use real Vermont Maple Syrup, much better than a Pumpkin Spice beverage any day! #Oceanside #RevolutionRoasters #ILOVEMapleLatte #PetFriendly read more
We stopped here on vacation for a quick pick me up. Although the cold brew we ordered was one of the smallest I've ever gotten, but it was also one of the most delicious. A few more ounces of coffee gloriousness, please?? read more

Awesome coffee shop! Great coffee and good. Excellent space to sit both inside and out. They have the best coffee and lots of choices.. but heir good is really great, pastures and toasts. The monkey bread and croissants are my favorite. I was very happy with the service and overall experience and will be going back a lot. read more
The coffee seemed strong which is good, I asked the barista to put cream and sugar and she was like it's at the end of the counter so do it yourself (in a nice way) but I love when they do everything for me! And hello that's what I'm paying for. The creamer seemed weak and like it was a healthy milk. I like a heavy rich creamer. Next time I'll get a specialty coffee and it seems like they have good breakfast too. It was packed on a Thursday morning. I would have liked to chill out down there with my coffee and breakfast but had to go to work. Also parking can be dicey since it's off Coast Highway. read more

The morning bun was really good. It's a nice and flakey sweet treat! I only had a bite of my friends but I instantly wanted more Affogato This was really pretty, BUT the espresso was very fruity and acidic. Not my favorite and couldn't enjoy it too much because of that. 4/10. Highly recommended though if you like espressos on the more sour side. Iced Matcha Latte Nice matcha flavor, a little fishy for some reason but not bad at all. $1 milk substitute for oat is horrendous though... The prices here were overall not bad at all!! Def will be coming back to try more drinks and pastries! read more
My hubby and I decided to get latte and matcha here before we heading back to the LA. The parking here might be limited. We line a little bit, but not waiting too long for our drinks. My hubby got lavender honey latte and I got matcha latte. Both are smooth and came with pretty latte art! They have plenty of seats but all seems been occupy, so depends on your luck. People here love sit down here study, laptop and chatting. read more

Really enjoyed my trip to revolution roasters this morning. Came at around 9:30am and it was already super busy! We ordered their seasonal caramel latte and their regular butterscotch latte. The caramel latte had a bitter taste to it, but was still enjoyable. The butterscotch was nice and sweet. For food, we got their Italian sandwich, their poptart, and a monkey bread. The monkey bread was great! It was buttery and sugary and so delicious. The poptart I could skip in the future. And the sandwhich was also a perfect savory balance for the sweet treats and drinks we got. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. On a Saturday morning, most parties were socializing rather than studying or working but I am sure it could be a great place to do work during less busy times. It was easy to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. I just wish I lived closer to this place because I'd definitely be a regular read more

Whoa. The lavender honey latte rocks! Just the right amount of subtle lavender flavor. Delicious coffee! The open face sandwiched as incredible as well. The avocado with pickled onions are very tangy if you love that sour taste! (I do!!) The tomato and avocado is fresh and so rich! 10/10 recommend. However fair warning... parking is difficult to find read more

Parking is a little difficult to find near this place, so I had to park a couple blocks away. It was worth it though. The espresso tastes very high quality. It has nutty notes, and it shines the through in the lattes. I got the butterscotch latte, and I really liked how espresso flavor blended with the butterscotch. The butterscotch was nutty and sweet but not too sweet. I ordered half sweet and it was perfect. I could taste the nutty notes from the butterscotch and the butter from the espresso. My one complaint is that the prices are a little steep for me to come here all the time, but I enjoyed my experience. Overall: 9/10 Drink: 8.5/10 Price: oof steep Ambiance: 9/10 Service: 9/10 read more

Disclaimer: This review is solely based on one drink, the coffee soda. I need to come back and try other drinks but I can't see myself ordering anything else LOL My boyfriend and I came here for coffee and some beans. Upon looking at the menu, I was surprised by how cute and creative it was, especially the idea of a coffee concoctions category!! I've had fizzy carbonated coffee in the past but I could never seem to find it anywhere else, so I was glad to see Coffee Soda on the menu. I was not disappointed, it's as good as I remembered it to be. GUYS, PLEASE TRY IT! It sounds weird but it really works. It's made out of espresso, soda water, and vanilla syrup and works together to make an extremely refreshing drink, perfect for a hot day out. Also just an FYI, there's a bunch of different beans for sale there! There's not really much of a description on each flavor profile so you'll need to ask the workers there. read more

First time finally making it to the actual location. I've had their treats before... but never actually been inside. Cute little spot. Super friendly staff, which is always greatly appreciated. I had the gingerbread pop tart. I was a bit skeptical because I generally like the fruit filled ones...but Omg! This was delicious, not ridiculously sweet as I thought it could be... it was still warm, flaky on the outside and melt in you mouth in the center. I devoured it quicker than expected. This definitely is a place I'll continue to visit. read more

Is this a good place to study? Or is it a noisy area?
Not really. There's a lot of human traffic (people walking by, not being "trafficked"). Also RR is on the busiest and loudest north-south artery on the coast for vehicles. It might work with a good set of headphones, but I would recommend the beach…
What day of the week is roast day?
Saturdays! They roast at Coffee Coffee in Leucadia
Can you buy their homemade Almond Milk?
At this moment you can't. We asked/tried 😅
Are you Pet friendly?
We have a huge patio with tons of pets outside! Unfortunately do to Health Department regulations we cannot allow pets inside. Service animals are of course more than welcome!
I asked if their bread was vegan and they said no..but on the Prager brothers website there are no animal ingredients. What makes the avocado toast not vegan?
Yes only because we butter the toast! Just ask for no butter :)
