Went here for the first time on a Friday afternoon. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the beers they have on tap and in cans (lot of local stuff) was great. We weren't super enthusiastic about the cocktails we tried but we'll certainly be back to try other concoctions. Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer, the burger and fries are great, and the crab cake entree was absolutely fantastic. We just visited for the first time on Saturday, September 14th and were very impressed! Our party of 4 showed up without a reservation on Homecoming night (unbeknownst to us) and were seated and served quickly . The food was wonderful and offered creative and unique options even for Gluten Free and Vegan. The service was awesome and our server , Rosanna, was simply charming and fun! I'm happy that we were able to have a dinner here once again! Completely different experience starting with customer service and following with outstanding food. We had a pleasant view of the water and very knowledgeable server. I ordered a catch of the day and asked to make a dairy free risotto. This is a quite challenging task,but result was superb, crispy skin pan seared juicy filet of branzino on the bed of velvety tasty risotto with seafood pieces. Nice American restaurant with a great view of the lake. The creamy baked Mac and Cheese and crispy Brussels Sprouts hit the spot! Hubby enjoyed the fresh catch of the day the pan-seared salmon. I wasn't a big fan of the Mushroom & Rolled Oat Burger. While I appreciate a house-made burger that's not Impossible or Beyond Burger, the mushroom oats patty was really bland and had a funky smell and texture. The soft bun, tangy mustard aioli, melted Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions elevated the flavor and helped to round out the burger, it just didn't hit the spot. I'm really glad I swapped the fries for the creamy mac and cheese - def ask for it! The cocktails are underwhelming. The mojito was refreshing, but needed a bit more simple syrup. The mango mimosa was really tangy with sparkling mango juice, and didn't have any fresh mango juice as I expected. The house-made Cookie Dough and Cookies and Cream ice cream was delicious! I was so tempted to get the ice cream sandwich - next time! Four of us met for dinner one Friday evening at Red's Table. We love having access to such a wonderful restaurant, so close to home. We dined on the patio. Although it was a cold evening, we were kept warm with space heaters. We enjoyed appetizers, entrées, dessert, cocktails, and mocktails. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The latest cook, with Italian roots, has really picked up the food game to go with the great tap selection, wines and mixology. This place is tucked in the corner of a busy shopping center. Parking isn't always easy. The vibe is undefinable. It's fairly noisy. It was a bit chilly sitting near the door to the outside (tented) area. Only the busboys wear any kind of uniform (t-shirt). The other servers all wear - whatever - so it's hard to see exactly who is a server. The service was weird - frequent, but not always thorough (like picking up one empty plate but not the other). I had a red sangria which was quite tasty and an average price at $12. The goat cheese fritters were really tasty and definitely a must have at $13. I had the burrata and squash "salad" which was just ok for $15. The coffee was good. My friend had clam chowder, pastels, and their ice cream of the day. My husband and I had lunch 7/30/25 and we both ordered the the daily fish special which was halibut sandwich at $25 each when our lunch arrived nothing was said to us that they ran out of halibut and substituted salmon ???? are you kidding me? when we told them they brought us the wrong order they "explained" they ran out of halibut and neglected to notify our server so she didn't know salmon was being substituted not a good answer - the salmon was not good - overcooked and one had a large bone in it - and skin was left on in the sandwich - just awful they kept asking us if we wanted something else but we'd already waited a very long time for our meal no discount was offered needless to say we will never go back good luck if you eat here read more

I've gone to Red's Table several times for lunch - usually on business lunches. It is a great place and the food has always been outstanding! I've eaten the fried chicken sandwich a lot and love it. This time I got the roasted beet and goat cheese salad with grilled chicken. It was SO good and the perfect portion size for lunch. The views here are amazing, you almost forget you're in Reston. It's a nice little oasis for lunch on a workday. I'd highly recommend taking clients or business partners to lunch here. I haven't tried brunch here yet but I'd imagine it's great. Enjoy the patio while the weather is nice, but even if you go on a rainy or cold day, inside is just as nice. I'll keep returning to Red's Table! read more

We frequent Reds Table at least once a week. It's a great local bar/restaurant right on Lake Thoreau in Reston. The staff are all awesome as is the food. Highly recommend any of the nightly fish specials. Most recently, my former employer hosted a going away party at "Reds" for me. Ryan and Craig were great to work with answering questions on menu and things leading up to the event. All of the food choices we had were great and people really enjoyed them. Went there for brunch and their menu pricing is deliberately confusing for the salads. They have the salads listed with a price like 17g (so you think it means 17 grams) and then below it are proteins listed like +$18 - so you are made to believe that is the price. Instead - they charge you $17+$18 ($35) for a salad! Pointed this out to the manager who did nothing to resolve the issue. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Reston. The portions are generous. The drinks are strong and delicious. I love the summer salad when it's warm. The crab cake is one of the best in the entire metro area. The dry aged burger is delicious. My new favorite is the steak frittes which gives you a good strip steak a healthy portion of perfectly cooked fries and a balsamic glazed carrots. So good! Now if only they had more comfortable chairs I would probably have more drinks but my back can't handle that. Skip Sano and eat here you'll love it! read more

Never experienced this before, and I was in the biz for years. My wife and I were dining outdoors at 3:30pm on a Sunday. At 4:10 we were alerted by the hostess that someone reserved our table for 4:30--we said no problem we had already ordered dessert and a glass of wine, we'd be out before then. 3 minutes later at 4:13, she said we had to now leave so they could get their table ready. Three people of their large party were sat early, and we had to move tables to eat our dessert. Unacceptable. read more

I had lunch with my Fiancé made of honor at this restaurant and I was nothing less than impressed. We had 3 waiters stop by our table within the first 10 minutes of us catching up to make sure we got everything we needed. I was extremely hungry so we trying a bunch of different plates. We sat in the heated Patio area we're overlook a beautiful river. The scenery was nice because of the foliage. It definitely put a fall feel to our meal. The food was delicious. My favorite part was the Burrata and Squash (we added shrimp). I was hesitant at first but the flavors were about and definitely a fall dish. Their staff was so patient with us and it definitely made us feel welcome and at ease. 10/10 I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Came for the lakeview, like many other reviewers, but had an overall decent food experience as well. Classic strip mall setup does change immediately on the first-come, first-serve patio. Inside feels like a brewery. I'd characterize the food as American comfort/pub food heavy on appetizers. I did enjoy the goat cheese fritters, but did really question the Bang Bang Shrimp, which came with a salad with no dressing and crispy wontons that added absolutely nothing to the dish, which was already coated. Solid burger options. Would recommend on any day in DMV that is neither to cold nor too warm to sit on the patio to enjoy their beer selection. read more

Nice location on the water, outdoor seating is heated, food is pretty good and service is mixed. Came for the first time for lunch on a Friday. No host to be found anywhere. Even after waiting for several minutes (not busy at that time) and then standing in the middle of the restaurant begging for anyone, people just walked past us. We found the host, who also walked past us and finally got seated. The servers all share tables which means no one is really responsible for checking in on you. Two of our three servers were great! The one was put off by our request to turn the blazing heaters down. Had to hunt her down because no one checked back with us. Server #2 was happy to help. Food was pretty good. Cobb was good, meatballs were a mixed review at our table, and blue crab bisque had hardly any crab at all, but don't let that keep you from it. The bisque itself was very tasty. Prob not a spot we'd go back to, but check it out for yourself. read more
