I rate restaurants within their category and concept. I am not comparing a neighborhood breakfast spot to a Michelin star dining experience. If a place consistently delivers tasty food, solid execution, and keeps you wanting to come back, that earns a top rating from me. Ted's Bulletin absolutely does that. We have been to the One Loudoun location several times for breakfast, and it is consistently a great experience. That kind of consistency matters, especially for breakfast service where some places can be hit or miss. One of our favorites has been the huevos rancheros. They serve it on tostadas, which gives the dish a great crispy base and a really satisfying texture. It is flavorful, hearty, and always hits the spot. We have also had their homemade tater tots, and they are excellent. Nicely fried, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and clearly done with care rather than feeling like an afterthought side dish. Their French toast is another strong option and always enjoyable. If you are in the mood for something sweeter, it is a very solid choice. We have also tried the breakfast cinnamon roll. It is definitely generous in size. It is decent and worth trying, but it can be a lot, which is probably why we only order it occasionally. For the kids, the hot chocolate is always a favorite and something they genuinely look forward to each visit. Overall, Ted's Bulletin continues to deliver tasty breakfast food, dependable quality, and a family friendly experience that keeps us coming back. Easy 5 stars from me. read more

I've had some genuinely good breakfasts at Ted's Bulletin locations before, which made this lunch visit feel like a bit of a letdown. I went with the club sandwich--perfectly fine, but about as memorable as a meeting that could've been an email. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing that would ever bring me back for round two. The fries, on the other hand, showed up crispy and confident... easily the highlight of the plate. There are plenty of solid lunch options in the area, and in hindsight, I probably should've explored one of them instead. I did spot a grilled cheese that looked great walking by--but let's be honest, grilled cheese always looks like it has its life together. i fully believe teds bulletin has the potential to be a nice resturant. ive heard so many good things and the interior was nice. though, i do have some comments. we got the chicken & biscuts and steak & eggs. the hash browns did not have a singular speck of salt on it - it was bland and cold. condiments could not save them. the chicken was delicious but there were just some flavors that did not blend well together. the pickles with hot honey was a no for me. on the other hand, my partner had no bad comments about the steak & eggs. everything was delicious. will be coming back for this dish. now about the service. our server was nice, just the usual. though, we declined drinks and just asked for iced water. she brought us a whole bottle of saratoga when everyone else around us were given tap. im assuming she upcharged us without asking. just rubbed me the wrong way. read more

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE!!! Service was the absolute best! Not only was our server GREAT. There were men (I believe Managers) walking around checking on guests and their experience. My friend and I met up for a late lunch and ended up staying for close to 4 hours!! Staff did not kick us out or push us to leave. Instead, they checked on us even long after our bill had been paid. Been here many times with many different groups of people for brunch. The food is amazing, atmosphere is pretty nice but can attract some annoying customers from the conversations I've overheard lol. Some "I know the manager" types if you what im sayin. Many of the waiters and waitresses are nice, i often felt ignored or coldly met by the hostesses, not a big deal but the consistency makes it worth mentioning to me. Honestly haven't eaten at this Ted's location but it's probably the best one in the area! The food was soooo good when I had it the first time a few weeks ago I decided to come back this weekend. The menu is huge - there's breakfast options all day and you have super healthy options to more heartier, savory options, or even sweet. The service is always good and the food comes out fairly fast. The ambiance is very chic and modern. Cute spot for a brunch date. Just had breakfast this morning... pretty disappointing. First of all - the music was too loud and energetic for a calm Sunday morning when the place was nearly empty. On top of that the server was so soft spoken with an accent that I had to ask two or three times for her to repeat herself. The coffee - very weak - also had a fly in the coffee (not kidding)....must have been in the pot as I discovered it when I poured a second cup. They really need to do a better job of providing a decent cup of coffee in a cup that holds more than five or six ounces. The bacon was promoted as applewood bacon - well it was thin and fatty without any taste. The omelette had a weird texture - almost as if they were serving eggbeaters or mixed their eggs with water. I've usually liked the selection here and have enjoyed some of their dishes. However today was a very different story. I ordered the Shitake mushroom wrap and a cup of tomato soup. The restaturant was not at all crowded when we entered. My friend ordered the chicken biscuits. I told the server that the soup should be hot. Then, of course, it was not and was barely luke warm. I asked her to take it back and please warm it. It came back 10 minutes later, only a tad bit warmer...not hot at all. I let it go. Our meal took 25 minutes to come and we had to ask the server once to check on it. I was supposed to get Tzatziki sauce with it, but I didn't. Instead I got ketchup! My friend asked for no suasage gravy, so her dish was pretty dry. The fried chicken was very greasy. At least they should have given her some butter or honey for her biscuits! The service was really, really slow!! All in all, the standards here are really going downhill. Wanted to have breakfast for dinner so we decided to finally try Ted's. I always have to get a benedict at a diner spot so when I saw their Crab Cake Benedict, I was super excited! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the crab cake had generous portions of crab. The Steak and Eggs were all very good! The steak was decent but the chimichurri sauce they served with it elevated the dish to a whole new level. The Mac and Cheese was just alright and their signature pop tart was just good. Usually this place has been great in the past, but whoever thought it was acceptable to serve potatoes this green is asking for a food poisoning lawsuit. Any trained chef should know better than to serve these to someone. Luckily I know better than to eat green potatoes but I fear another person may pay the price for this. Where is the quality control? Just not understanding how you could allow something like this to leave the kitchen. 2 stars because my MIL enjoyed her food. It's been some time since we had a meal. Today was lunch which had a brunch menu s well as the regular menu. Packed as usual but seating occurred when we expected. Our hostess was Danaiet who was excellent and got us what we needed. Water and a Ping Ging Mimosa drinks as coffee machine was down. For lunch crab cake benedict which was excellent. The All American Burger which we had bacon added for a surcharge. Good. The Club was the only disappointment. Served toasted was great but all the food was cold including the bacon. I went here for a birthday brunch. I called a day in advance to reserve a table for 10. They were able to accommodate all of us and the service was quick. Everyone's meal looked amazing. I got the chorizo burrito and was not disappointed. The chairs were very comfortable and the decor was very inviting. My only wish was that they offered a free dessert or something for your birthday. My husband and I stopped in recently for breakfast while we were in the area. We were immediately seated in a nice cozy booth. Love the comfy cozy décor. We started with coffee and it was solid. Love that they left the carafe so I could control my own refills. We had to start with a Ted's Tart. I got their seasonal maple pecan and wow. The crust was so flaky and the pecan filling was perfect for a cozy morning. I ordered the chicken biscuits for my meal and had to add the sausage gravy. The portions were quite generous! The biscuits were flaky and tender, the chicken was juicy and the gravy tied everything together nicely. So many great options I would love to try. First off, the staff was attentive and friendly the entire time and checked in with us in a pleasant and helpful manner that never felt intrusive. Wen started off with the ricotta and heirloom tomato toast which was served on thick sourdough bread and was fresh and tasty. A Ted's strawberry tart wad a rainbow sprinkled homemade version of a Pop-Tart and definitely hit the mark. I opted for the breakfast burrito (breakfast is served all day) which had eggs, salsa, steak and more and was a moderately spicy but fully tasty option that came served with some hash browns on the side. Another guest at our table went with the pickle brined chicken fried sandwich which was enjoyed thoroughly while the third diner went for the thick cut French toast served with scrambled eggs and hash browns. It's very hard to be unbiased when in restaurant on Friday night with 84 degrees outside is broken air conditioning. I mean, it's understandable that no one wants to close down their restaurant on Friday night,but it's about experience of customers and work ethic towards employees.I feel for all people who worked that night and I saw their exhausted sweaty faces. We got table at the side entrance and with opened doors and slight breeze I survived 1.5 hours. Now to the food. Guacamole was fine,it was more crackers than guacamole on the plate,but taste was good. Calamari was awful,tiny pieces with breading twice a size and falling off, dry and underwhelming.Chicken entree was good for my husband and if he finished breast meat of chicken, it was a sign that chicken was really good. My branzino was very good. It was generous 2 fillets of fish moist and juicy .Skin was on,no crispy skin at all,but taste was good,underneath was romesco sauce with Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. This time the service was not that great as our waitress was new and could not answer basic questions about the menu without having to go back and ask someone else, which she did at least 4 times. We ordered the salmon salad and the branzino along with truffle fries. The food took like 20-25 mins to arrive. The saving grace was that the food tasted good. Came for brunch on Saturday and it was packed. We got a chicken waffle and a Big Mark Breakfast. Chicken waffles was fine. The syrup was already added onto the waffle, wished they put it on the side. It was too sweet. The big mark breakfast came with eggs, potato hash, bread, sausage and.... and a very sugary poptart. They called it a tart so I was surprised when a poptart came out. I've been dying to get to Ted's Bulletin and this visit happened to be the perfect time to try them. We ordered our main entree and 2 homemade "pop tarts." We received the tarts first and neither one of us were blown away by them. Another server, who wasn't assisting us, asked if they were warmed up. They weren't. She quickly took our tarts back to warm them up. What a game changer! They taste so much better being warmed up, however, they had way too many sprinkles for our liking. We were truly thankful that she decided to step in and assist, without even being asked. We both thought our meals were just average. Nothing to write home about. My sandwich was okay, the best part was the grilled bread. My husband's eggs were too runny for his linking, even after letting the server know he wanted hard scrambled eggs. TB's boasts an extensive coffee selection/barista. I don't drink the stuff, so that didn't impress me. So after all the waiting and anticipating, turns out, I was fine with not having eaten here before. My family and I visited this restaurant on Sunday. The atmosphere was great, with barely any wait, and the seats were filled. We arrived at the perfect time. However, I'm hesitant to thoroughly recommend this place because my husband ordered the Szechuan hot chicken sandwich, and my son ordered the kids' chicken fingers. The amount of grease on the chicken was excessive and unappetizing. It seemed like they had taken it straight out of the fryer and placed it on the plates. My husband even used napkins to soak up the grease. I would have returned the dish due to my sensitive stomach, but my husband tried to handle it. My son didn't even eat his chicken. The calamari is a big disappointment, very paper thin, all you can taste is the batter and there's barely any meat to it, the dipping sauce was meh, the amount you pay for the portion size does not equal. Met a friend for brunch and knew exactly what I wanted after I walked into the restaurant and saw someone eating the same food. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and hash browns. It was a huge plate of food and though I was starved when I came in, I quickly filled up before finishing the food. That's what I found at Ted's bulletin is their portion sizes are fairly large and usually I end up taking food home to eat. My friend and I sat at the counter as it was almost lunch time and getting busier. The only issue I had that day was the air conditioner above me was leaking and every once in awhile a drip of water would come down on my head. I informed the hostess on my way out so that they would block off that seat. It wasn't a big deal I just wasn't expecting it. I love Ted's bulletin and their food, this was my first time in this location but I have visited others around the DMV. I try to avoid One Loudoun because parking is a pain. But I was given a gift card to Ted's Bulletin and breakfast is their specialty. So, off we went and parking in front was epic! On this morning, lots of people sat outdoors. We opted for the bars eating, our favorite way to dine. Bar server was so amazing: always smiling and offering so many recommendations. She was great. Food: I love a good huevos rancheros. This order came with 3 huge corn tortillas filled with the best pico served in a non Mexican restaurant. I would have liked it not so wet but it was super delicious. I also ordered one of their famous tarts to go. That decadent treat was fresh even the next day.
