We had a gorgeous wedding reception at Red's Table for a group of 20. The food was AMAZING!!!! The service was STELLAR! We all had a wonderful time in the private dining room. We booked red's table patio for our small wedding celebration. We wanted something outdoors on a patio to be safer given the pandemic. The event was really great. Ryan, the event planner, was very responsive, friendly, and took care of all our requests. At the event, the staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. We used a set menu with items that are from the regular menu. I had the rockfish entree and crab bisque appetizer. Was delicious. I tasted some other items and was all very good. The view from the patio of the lake is very beautiful. I highly recommend red's table for an event or just a dinner out. read more

The only reason this place is worth visiting is because they are lucky enough to have such a beautiful view. However the view is also covered with plastic covering, they should just leave the top covered and leave the rest open where windows would normally be. That aside, this place was so unorganized and the food was god awful. Our food took forever to come out and we had ten different waiters so we had no idea who to call on. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and was not even given syrup. The pancakes were the driest pancakes I have ever had - really I don't even think they were made from scratch. They tasted a little old. Then my friend ordered the steak frites and the serving was TINYYYYYY - so tiny to the point where he had finished eating in like two minutes. None of us enjoyed our food nor the experience. We had a great time on a double-date night! The drink selection was great, the food was delicious, the service was on point and friendly, and the covered patio seating was perfect! We were there in the evening, and, as the sun went down, it was directly in our eyes, but we mentioned it to a server and they dropped some sun shades to mitigate the issue. Perfect resolution! I loved sitting outside and seeing the views at this place, but definitely not safe to bring running toddlers outside as there's no adequate boundaries, wish they would have more bars up or protection walls for kids. Food was okay, nothing out of this world, but all cooked well. Drinks were ok, sounded better than they were. I thought the entrees were more pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. Some inconsistencies they don't promote their happy hour, like in other restaurants (we did not get a menu) even though it was going on when we visited. Some tables got bread others didn't. Although they have a dessert menu, they only had ice-cream available on Sunday, which was a bit sad, we had some at home so decided not to go for that. Although I spent close to $130 at this restaurant I'm not sure that it was money all that well spent. read more

Decided to try a new location in Reston, so found Red's while goggling. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were able to be seated. It was a very hot day and they didn't have all the fans on the porch running. We got our drinks and ordered the goat cheese appetizer. That was really good. We ordered main plates of steak frites and ribs entree. The potatoes were big wedges, which were okay but didn't expect that. The steak was cooked to perfection. The ribs were not Cajun spicy as the description so that was disappointing. Overall the location was nice on the lake, the food was okay and the fans could have been turned seeing it was a very hot day. read more

The place was very cute and the food was amazing! Service was great, I ordered the Mac and cheese and a side of fries, both delicious! I had one drink and it was made amazing not to strong but definitely had a kick. My boyfriend ordered the steak frites and the serving was huge, he said the steak was cooked to perfection! I will say it's a limited menu but we are still in a pandemic, the social distancing of the place wasn't what I think it should have been. They were holding a big reception dinner and it made me a little anxious being in a small area. I will definitely be going back, but maybe after I am vaccinated! read more

I'm torn on this place. My first visit, albeit only for drinks and a quick appetizer, was enjoyable. My second visit, for date night, was fairly average. Service: On both occasions, the service was good. Our waiter was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. Ambiance: Great location with a wonderful view of Lake Thoreau. I'll likely come back to have a drink or two, just because of the view. Food: Here's where it goes a little downhill. We had the crab dip, crab bisque, and diver scallops. The scallops were delicious, but the crab dip and crab bisque were room temperature. One thing I noticed is we didn't receive any bread/muffins during our 2nd visit. It never donned on us until we left. Overall, not a bad place by any stretch but not outstanding either. read more

Main complaint: the service. The service started out weak when my party of 9 were sat on the (covered) balcony in the middle of December. It was a rainy cold morning but the restaurant just opened at 11am and we made reservations in advance. Were there no other tables inside that were available?? To top it off, when we asked the server if he could turn on the heat lamp, we had to remind him twice. Get this man some coffee asap! Alas, the heat lamp overhead did not work and made a loud buzzing sound every time they tried to turn it on. Fortunately, they moved us indoors (again, why weren't we sat indoors to start) and the server began taking orders. He didn't write down the any of our drink orders so he missed a mimosa and coffee or two. Our food took over 45 minutes to arrive as well. We arrived at 11am, and yes, it did take some time to get settled because we moved tables, but our food was still not out by 12:30pm. I also understand that we were a large group, but the wait seemed longer than normal. When our food finally arrived, most of them were lukewarm. I ordered a frittata and the cheese on top looked like it was melted, then hardened, then there was another attempt to melt it again (but failed). When it was time to get our check, the server also took a long time (granted, we did ask for the bill to be split 9 ways) and he did not include the original bill when everything was split so we had to ask for that again, just to make sure everything was split correctly. Reds Table is easy to miss as it is at the back of a shopping center, but make sure you check it out! I particularly like their brunch (11-4 on weekends). Good cocktail is the only reason this place is getting a star. If you are smart, you will order many of them. It will help you enjoy your "experience." Arrived with a party of 7 just before 6 to an almost completely empty restaurant. Offered our choice of a table on the patio, with a party of 30 high school homecoming girls. The patio is really a greenhouse any way. We chose inside. Host sat us at a table for 6, adding a chair at the end. Again, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Waiter number 1 came over, told us about two specials and left. After about 10 minutes, waiter number 2 showed up, told us about 3! specials. Though, the ingredients in one changed in the process. He finally took our order and then brought us the drinks. Strawberry Mule was fantastic. But, then, we got to the food! I asked the server 3 different ways what type of ribs were used for the entree. First, they were St. Louis. Second, they were "a rack." Finally, they were baby backs. (Narrator voice - they were not baby backs.) Six of the seven entrees came. The ribs were spare ribs. I wouldn't have ordered them if the waiter had the training to know what they were. I sent them back and ordered a burger. Medium. (seventh entree still hasn't arrived.) Burger arrives, 7th entree still hasn't. One of the other guests comments they cooked me 2 entrees and still haven't cooked the other guys. That was also a lie. They didn't actually COOK my burger. The patty was seared on either side and literally raw otherwise. Another friend asked for a manager. (Still no 7th entree.) The manager, who clearly of out of his depth, mumbled an apology and said he'd take some stuff off the bill and left. This doesn't even get into the fact that the waiter, CREEPY AS FUCK, kept touching the guests whose backs were to him. Shoulders, back, etc was all fair game to his hands. The 5 entrees that people did eat were lackluster, somewhat flavorless and uninspired. Even the mini biscuits that are complimentary were burdened by salt and overdone. There is no reason to try this restaurant. Nothing on the menu is creative or interesting. The service staff is poorly trained and the management disinterested. There's a Subway next door and a Safeway at the end of the strip mall. Try those. read more

Just dropped in for a drink and an appetizer since dinner at home consisted of leftovers for the third consecutive night. Service was quick. We got our drinks while enjoying the yummy complimentary biscuits. Then the hot, spicy chicken wings arrived along with hot towels. We will return for dinner. Service was a little slow at the start but I really liked the drinks and the food so I am giving this place a 4 star review. We came in pretty late on a Saturday (around 8pm) and we were seated outside because it was quieter​ and they were having a band play on the inside. I really liked the atmosphere and the cute decor around the whole restaurant. The jars that were repurposed to light fixtures were really nice as well! So my dining companion and I first ordered two drinks. He got the pumpkin Mojito and I had the Mule. Both drinks were really good! I liked mine better than my counterpart, but he liked his drink better than mine so I guess it all worked out in the end! I really enjoyed the beverages and the ability to modify​ them. I didn't want Ketel​ one and so they allowed me to switch to Titos. Some places premake their drinks before service and it was nice that they didn't do this. The pumpkin mojito wasn't too sweet and it really did taste like pumpkin so I enjoyed that! I loved my drink. It was the perfect balance of sweet and alcohol content! I woulddefinitely​y come back for just the drinks. For entrees, we both got an appetiser because we weren't too hungry. I got the mussels and they were huge! There were so many of them and you got bread ! The sauce was really good as well! I don't know how this is just an appetiser because it's so big! My counterpart got the Clam Chowder Soup and it was a hefty portion as well. He really liked it as well! It looked good to me and I would consider ordering it the next time! I loved the menu and there were so many good options, I can't wait to come back when I'm more hungry so I can try an entree and perhaps a dessert! The service was slow at first but it ended up being pretty good! Our server wasn't even supposed to be our server, but he notised that no one had talked to us and decided that he would make a preemptive​ move and took our order. I really appreciate the servers that go above and beyond to do that ! He was greatly appreciated, and when we said we had to leave quickly he got our bill to us ASAP! read more

I really wanted to love this restaurant. The potential is really there. We went on Mother's Day and our server was wonderful! The hits of the night: crab dip goat cheese balls the bread and butter they bring out The not so great of the night: The burger- it needs serious seasoning and the bread was just too much The steak- I was told it was just ok, it also needed seasoning The crab cake was so so- it needed seasoning and I didn't really get a crab taste The scallops were good, but mine were slightly over cooked. The fries- not cooked enough Like I said, I wanted to love this place, the atmosphere is awesome. The view of the water is wonderful, and I can see them getting busy in the summer. I'd stick to the appetizers and the great beer list though! read more
