Not only do they match all of what I've come to know and love about Kia in the past, but the people here really care about making you happy. Hopefully I don't have to come in too often, but in my experience thus far there have been two names that I committed to memory. In the Service Department, Amber Griffith. Professional, methodical, and one heck of a problem-solver. She was always understanding and kind. Also very attentive, no matter how busy she gets, she always checks in and lets you know what is going on. She has gone above and beyond for my family and I, I think part of what means the most is how patient and understanding she has been. Coordinating our unusual dynamics and schedules can be hectic to say the least. A truly impressive human being. In the Sales Department, Terry "Pops" Giomi. Incredibly helpful, patient, brilliant, this person made me feel welcome from the second I pulled in (I came for a service appointment) to the moment I left. I asked about what's new with this year's models, he knew it all by heart, I told him how I was new to the area, he told me about how amazing this dealership works together and how they tie in with the community, even answered questions about a few local restaurants and places I could check out. He really made me feel like a friend or family and less just a customer, but still kept it professional that when I needed anything like to test out seating and how I fit into vehicles he was happy to accommodate. Done with this dealership. My family and I have purchased a total of 5 cars from here. The buying experience was always good. But the problems are with the service department. It's just gotten worse over the years. Justino appears to be the only one there that cares at all about the customers. They don't return calls. They don't even remember to pick you up and leave you standing outside for an hour. As the service departments are often where the money is for a dealership these days, you'd think they would try. Unfortunately, I like the cars, but the service department has made it so I will not purchase from here again and recommend the rest of my family no longer do so as well. If you need service here and absolutely cannot go anywhere else, all I can say is good luck. read more

looking through the reviews it seems like this dealership is good at selling cars. But there service department is showing to be the worst in Redding! My mother in law had to have her car taken in mind you the car only has less than 40,000 miles. They have had it over two weeks, there sales keeps calling trying to get her to buy a new one when hers is already paid off and again has less than 40,000 miles. Every time she calls they just tell her they haven't even looked at it yet ( they have had it over two weeks ). They keep messing with her on a loaner saying she was 5th on the list, then 3rd, now she is 6th. You email them and get no response. I feel they are dismissing her because she is an elderly female woman. She has missed 3 Dr. appts already and can't miss anymore so now is having to start scheduling Ubers and come out of pocket when she only gets social security. read more

I recently purchased a beautiful new SUV from this dealership -- so let me be clear, my issue has nothing to do with the vehicle itself, but everything to do with how the team conducts business after the sale. To start, I want to give credit where it's due: Mike, the salesman, did a great job. He was professional, helpful, and made sure I had all the information I needed before purchasing. The finance manager, Blake (I believe that's his title), was efficient in walking me through the paperwork. While the speed was convenient at the time, it came back to bite me. I was happy to have been offered an extended warranty at a great price and was under the impression I was also receiving free oil changes for three years -- a benefit Blake specifically mentioned when I purchased the vehicle. Fast forward three months to my first oil change -- and suddenly I'm told I'll be charged because I don't have a maintenance plan. What? That was never discussed as an extra cost. I was told oil changes were included because I bought a new vehicle, plain and simple. To make matters worse, when I brought this up, I encountered unprofessional and uncomfortable behavior from another finance manager (a more senior finance manager, mentioned he would be having knee surgery so he would be out for a while -- don't recall his name). Rather than resolving the issue, he made snide comments about Blake being new and said, "He does business a little different. I would never do that to you, he's newer here" as if throwing his own colleague under the bus somehow made the situation better. He also said that because I paid so little for my extended warranty, there was "no room" to include a maintenance plan -- a detail that was never explained at the time of purchase. Not only did I feel misled, but now I also feel like I've been pulled into the dealership's internal drama. Talking negatively about your own coworkers to customers is unprofessional, period. I left that interaction feeling disappointed and disrespected. While I love my vehicle, I will be driving anywhere else for future service. So I'll recap, again - went in here for a standard oil change. I get home and check it out - none of the fluids were topped off and we're all very low. Also decided to check the cabin filter and found a mouse nest in it. CLEARLY they lied when they checked everything off. Looks like they also have a B- by BBB. If they lie about something so small what about big things? Do not go here they clearly can not be trusted and this is important since its safety issues!!! BUT the worst is they had my car for 6 weeks, rep kept giving me all these excuses that they were waiting for approval, kia wanted more info etc. etc. Making a call to Kia and they had approved new transmisson 5 days after i took car in. Owner/mgr refused to take my calls, repair manager would not return my calls. I finally called Kia and told them what was happening and they got my car fixed within 5 days! Do not buy a car from Redding Kia. A year ago we traded our Kia Soul in for our current car. When we did that we discovered that on the Soul they had added an extra warranty that they charged us for and did not disclose. We fought it and they were supposed to take the money from that and put part towards the down payment and part in the form of a check. I'm putting this out now because it has been a year of fighting with them and we still haven't seen the money anywhere. Our salesman was named Caleb and he hasn't helped at all. In fact 2 days after we bought the car we discovered a broken charging port where the kids cant charge their devices then 3 days after we bought the car I went through a drive through and the window wouldnt roll up so I bring that up to him and he swears they'll fix it and he's going to have the service department order the parts. Again its been a year and its not fixed. So they stole our money and never fixed what was not working. They claim to have excellent customer service and I just dont see that. I wonder how many people they've done this to? This should be escalated to court simply for principal at this point. One star because I like the Nissan Pathfinder I bought from them. read more

Frank Smith was the Sales person that I worked with and he was and continues to be very friendly and is very knowledgeable about all of my car's features. Reading the reviews of Kia Dealerships near Chico CA, it became apparent there were only 3: Roseville Kia, Geweke Kia in Yuba City, and last but not least, Redding Kia. As an owner of a Kia I found myself reading back and forth which of the 3 mentioned above was the better for servicing the vehicle. Reviews at best are tricky, and at worst can be severely misleading. Noticed that one of the two websites tends to rate higher than the other. Is an arduous task to read reviews, from shinning 5 stars to devastating bad 1 stars. The best formula I have found is the law of averages. The thing is that KIA has to be serviced at an official KIA, simple as that. So I chose Redding KIA, 70+ miles from Chico. Let's just say they seemed the better choice. Took the 99 and slowly but surely enjoyed the sights until connecting with the 5 Freeway. Service Department, attentive and courteous, service needed executed well enough to please my critical nature. Service advisor helpful and efficient at his job Mr. Jose Yzaguirre, led me to believe fair play would take place. I've had over the years some scandalous businesses demoralize me to no end, among them the car industry, which should come as no surprise to some good people. Must mention Monica? nice lady who set up my appointment and extremely congenial on the phone while doing it. I did some research on Kia's through many websites and i read many reviews. some Kia's don't come with shock sensors from the factory, meaning you have to get them installed or something similar. In 2023 my partner Dan & I purchased a vehicle from Redding Kia. I got to say, the service there has always been above and beyond! Fast forward to today, I was out shopping at Trader Joe's and a cat wedged itself far into the engine of my SUV. I called Haven Humane Animal control, they came out and no avail. This cat wanted to stay in this little tiny area. I can't thank the employees enough at Trader Joe's for providing us with cat treats to entice the kitty to come down. Not knowing what to do, we called Kia. Grant stopped what he was doing, understood this kitty was so scared and got to us within 25 min. He brought tools to take apart some stuff, he brought gloves, a heavy jacket, and was always so positive on just being there for us. Grant showed kindness, compassion, humanity, and love. So what ended up being hours stuck there with this poor little kitty scared out of his mind and me hungry and tired, turned out to be a beautiful blessing, to know and see what we need more in life; empathy. After being told it would be done by 530 I arranged a ride to the dealership to find out it would not be done till 6. This place is weird. On their new cars they ask a price _higher_ than the manufacture suggested retail price. Who in the world does that??? You're supposed to think you're getting a good deal, not getting ripped off. They don't feed their salespeople, they stick to you like glue even when you tell them you're just looking. Their next McDouble comes out of your wallet. Later we came back, asked the price on a used Soul. (They don't list the prices on their used cars.) It was pretty high; we made an offer, the salesman left to "check with his boss". When he came back he counter-offered with a price that was two thousand dollars higher than the original asking price!!!! We went across town to an established Chrysler dealer that often has used Souls in inventory. Picked up a Soul with half the mileage than the one Kia had and paid quite a bit less. So I decided on a Subaru. I called around and even went into the dealership near me, in Walnut Creek. In order to buy a car there I needed to make an appointment. So I called Redding Subaru. They had exactly what I wanted. So with a U Haul, and all my belongings I drove the three hours and purchased my first Subaru. I was outta there and unloading my U Haul in two hours. I love the car. From the moment I walked on to the lot, to the second I drove off in my pre-owned Kia Sportage, I was treated with respect and care. From my salesman, Carl, to the finance department, they honestly had my best interests at heart! My son and I drove on the lot late Sunday evening and although they were minutes from closing, Carl stayed to show me a vehicle I had my eye on. He was knowledgeable and helpful about every aspect of the vehicle. We came back the next day for a test drive. Carl knew what every lever, button, noise and light was for in this car. As a 20 yr veteran of the car business, I appreciated the professionalism displayed when my wife, daughter and I came in to look at some KIAs. We were in the air over the Optima or the Niro. My wife didn't care much for the Optima though she did like the Forte, so we drove that, then the Niro. She preferred the Niro, as did I, so we went to work numbers.
