Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend 02 motorsports. I've been here twice for services in the last 6 months. They did a good job, I paid for the services and they did them, no extra brownie points but could be worse. Front and rear diffs, trans, awd, and oil all serviced it would be nice to get some pictures or something other than paying and leaving but again the little touches just make it that much nicer. BUT... my car is throwing some random codes and I can't figure out why. Called them again to see when I can get in to troubleshoot what's going on. She called back saying they won't do the work and take it to the VW dealership..... in Chico. That's enough for me to not go back even with the slim pickings of euro shops around Redding. On my way from northern WA to Sacramento, CA, my 2003 VW Golf TDI went into limp mode shortly after I left the Lakehead rest stop. I pulled over at an emergency parking area and restarted the car, and it went into limp mode again. I limped to the AutoZone in Redding and they directed me to O2 Motorsports. What a pleasant surprise! I showed the technician, Adam the readout AutoZone gave me when they ran diagnostics and he explained what the problem might be. Then he inspected the car for hose leaks and found a small nick and repaired it in minutes. He also cleared the CEL - all without an appointment! I can't believe how fortunate I am to have stumbled on O2 Motorsports. Adam's customer service and professionalism was incredible. While I don't live in the area, I still intend to bring my car here to get serviced (trustworthy mechanics are worth their weight in gold), especially after reading everyone else's glowing reviews. Outstanding service and great facility! I was told by a BMW dealer the Oil Level Sensor had to be replaced before anything could be done, and was quoted more than $400 for the part plus labor; plus any unknown parts an labor after they find out why the sensor failed. I am so glad to find O2 Motorsports. As complicated as BMW's are to work on, and the complexity of all the computers and sensors involved, O2 Motorsports quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem before it caused any engine damage and unnecessary costs. The people at O2 Motorsports really are the best; they're some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! They bring their four dogs to work and they are super sweet too! I drive a 2007 VW Beetle (bought it used in 2011), and so far they've done 2 oil changes, changed the water pump and when they saw that my power steering box was cracked, they fixed it for free because it was still under warranty. They just recently replaced the wheel bearing because it was making noise, and they noticed that my car was way out of alignment (I knew that, but I was going to wait on that one), and they aligned it for me for no charge! What a nice surprise after the inconvenience of having to pay for the wheel bearings! I really love the people here, they'll really take care of you and your car while brightening up your day (plus, it's fun to play with their dogs! ) Anyways, I won't take my car anywhere else!
