I have never purchased a vehicle from them but I have spoken to one of their salespeople over a few days and he was very helpful and low key. He did not pressure me or even try to bullsh*t me. He was patient and easy to deal with and for me, that's huge! I have never bought a car at a dealership that I actually wanted or could afford because I haven't had good experiences with the sales people I have encountered. I recently received another prequalified offer and I deliberately searched for the same sales person. I messaged them about it but unfortunately they didn't respond. That'll knock off a couple of stars in your rating if you ask me! Otherwise they are pretty much just another car dealership, doing what they do! There were 2 active recalls on the SUV when we bought it that we did not know of. I bought a 68 thousand dollar car from these people. They did not disclose that there where $6,000 plus in damages and problems. They rushed me through a contract that stated they don't need to pay registration and they lied saying the registration was much cheaper than it actually is. Went to look at a Dodge P/U today stock # 25057, noticed a HUGE dent in the bumper, salesman chuckled and said "ya, we don't want to spend $1000 for a new one, we just figure whoever buys it can spend the $1000 to replace it". I don't like to leave bad reviews because I know people have bad days and not every business can be 100%... But, I did not have a good experience with this business and I will never go to them again. When I first arrived at Park Marina Motors it was a blazing hot day during the summer. A guy came out to greet my boyfriend and I we said hello I told him what we were looking for and he suggested we come into his office. We followed him in and he continued to open up their website and show us all of the cars that were right outside of that office. I understand it was extremely hot outside but if I wanted to look at cars online I wouldn't have stopped by. I finally asked if we could go outside and look instead. I found one that I loved and we went back into the office to talk business. I was going through a company for a loan and I explained to them the parameters of the loan and they said they were very familiar and have worked with them before. Well, when it came down to it they ran numbers and tried to tell me that the company I was going through REQUIRED me to put down $5,000 in cash. We ended up walking out and I didn't get my dream car. I later called the company for the loan and gave them all of the information on that car I wanted so badly and they said that that is not true I would've only needed to put down $1,500. Which is WAY off from what Park Marina "knew" they "required". Bottom line the experience I had was poop. And I didn't get my dream car simply because I don't appreciate being lied to and tricked by sleazy lazy salesman. Does this mean that everyone else is going to have this experience? Having been completely abused in a prior experience with a different, small Redding truck lot, I was amazed with what I found at Park Marina Motors. There, shining in all its glory was a beautiful blue Dodge Laramie Cummins that I subsequently learned EXCEEDED all my expectations. The only aspect that was lacking was the age and mileage was NOT consistent with my targets. A minor concern; not a deal breaker. It was 2010 with under 100k miles. So one third used up. NBD. Jerret, my excellent sales dude, had all the right answers and it was a pleasure to ride out on my test drive with him. Since were pointed in the right direction and Jarret approved, we ended up at my girlfriend, Susan's place of business. I believe she fell in love with the truck almost immediately and then, for me, it was a done deal. That was going to be my truck by hook or crook. I did not do a very good job of concealing my excitement and before long I was sitting in the office filling out paperwork consulting with my credit union and working with Mike and Troy, the sales manager. Surprisingly this was the most pleasant experience I've ever had in buying a car from a used lot.... EVER! They earn every star I can give them. They worked with me and made it smoothly through the financing complications through an out of town credit union and such. They backed up the quality in the vehicle with the quality of service and attention to detail that they showed me and graciously allowed me to win my prize. Okay, maybe they coulda been a lil more flexible in out the door totals, but they read the writing on my FACE! Just after receiving the keys, I called out to Mike: "Thanks for workin me!!!" Hahaha. When I purchased my Chevy Tahoe in July I was very pleased with the people at Park marina unfortunately since then I have had nothing but problems. We've had to already work on the engine, the air bags need serviced, there's a nicking in the steering wheel and come to find out today my sunroof leaks BAD! I am very upset that they would sale a car with the issues this one has especially to someone who has one child and one on the way. The least of my worries right now should be another problem with my car! I have never posted a review on a Business before. But after the way my Son and I were treated by this place I must. I am not only going to write this review but I am going to reach out to my network of friends and colleagues and let them know how we were treated today by Park Marina Motors. My Son found a Truck he fell in love with. He was told by the sales people that they would take care of him. If today was any indication of how they take care of people then I would stay as far away from this place as possible. We took this Truck for a Test Drive and then sat down with the salesman. My Son filled out the Credit App and was also told that he needed to fill out another form to hold the Truck which he did. My only concern were the tires which had a lot of wear on them. My Son and I were there on lunch breaks from work and had to return. We were told they would get back with us as soon as the credit report came back and they crunched some numbers. My Son was going to put $10,000 Cash Down and Finance the rest. They called later that day and gave us a monthly payment of $550 but didn't give us the interest rate or what exactly we were financing. We hadn't agreed on a price yet or addressed the Tire situation. We were told we could do that the next day. The next day came and we were told by Waylan that they were knocking the price down $1000 because of the tires and after letting them know we didn't want the extended warranty he told us the monthly payment would be $487. I also talked with Waylan about Gap Insurance which we decided against. I told Waylan that I was still concerned about the cost of the tires and wanted him to present a little lower offer to Brenna who I believe is the Sales Manager. Waylan told me he knew what the answer would be but he woud do it if I wanted. I told him I wanted him to do it and for him to let me know what she said and we would go from there. He told me that he would. This call took place at 2:18pm that day. I waited for a call back until 4pm and it didn't come. The next thing I heard on this subject was a text from my Son at 6pm telling me they sold the Truck out from under him. I never got a call back! Why? My instincts tell me that they knew how low they had just gone and hoped this would just go away. Very cowardly and disrespectful in my opinion. When I got news of this I called the Dealership and asked for Waylan and he had already gone home so I asked for a Manager and ended up talking to Troy who proceeded to give me a line of crap on his version of what happened. He even tried to tell me what I supposedly said which I find extremely irritating since he wasn't even on the call. I told him that the least he could do is not lie to me which this guy continued to do. I wasn't asking for a song and dance from this guy. I just wanted to know why they did what they did without giving us the decency of a phone call especially after telling me that they were going to!!! I don't know if this is normal procedure on how car dealerships treat people in Redding but I would like to think that it's not. Park Marina Motors could have atleast had the decency to call us and let us know what they were doing. They chose not to which says a lot to me about their lack of ethics and integrity! I am just blown away by the lack of professionalism that was displayed by this company. It is inexplicable to me how we were treated. The ironic thing is I told the 1st Salesman we originally talked to that if they treated us well they might get 2 sales out of it because I am looking to buy a Truck too! I would not ever set foot on that car lot again and I will make sure that everyone I know gets the rundown on how much integrity they have in dealing with their customers. We have bought five vehicles from park marina motors and have had excellent service. We always ask for Mike for our salesman, no nonsense, no games he is straight up and he has promised us to fix this or order that and always is good for his word. We live an hour away and had decided on a new truck, we weren't able to come down for a couple days and Mike drove up to our house we did the paperwork and the next day he and a co worker drove up to deliver the truck to our door. Before finding park marina I always dreaded looking for vehicles off lots because of the games most salesmen play. Bought a car from this place to find out it had not been registered for 2 years, they slid the dmv fees into my loan and i did not own the car the at that time. Be aware and do your homework on the registration. You are liable and can pay for fees even if you do not own the car. Its unethical that they do this to there customers. read more

The truck we bought from here has had nothing but issues. And we've only had it 2 months. The check engine keeps coming on, the rear brakes were bad, they were leaking brake fluid everywhere. james... the young man that sold me my car was wonderful, but they had to send it to their own shop to fix something in the back... the only thing that i left in the vehicle was "2" saint christophers... (i last my son & my mother one year apart)... The staff is very nice and professional and you think you are getting a good deal, until after you have already bought the vehicle. i bought a car that was supposed to be $12000, and that is what he told us all along i only found out it was not $12000 when i went to trade it in and fount out that somehow they had coaxed me out of $5000 extra without me knowing it. Don't believe the finance guy if you buy something, you need to look over the contract before you sign, because they make their money in the fine print. read more
