You wouldn't expect a good service from a buffet place, would you? But that's exactly what I got. The cashier was friendly (and was super helpful to the guy in front of me who had problem with his check) and the wait staff continuously check on me when they saw my water was almost gone. The food was good; there were sushi, ribs, Mongolian grill, many varieties of chicken, soup, salad and desserts. I like that they have both tables and booths. The booths offer more privacy of me stuffing my face, but the tables make it easier to go in and out.

I must say I adore this restaurant. The food is fresh, hot, and widely varied. I've been there twice and was able to discover new things each time which is wonderful. Love their bao pork buns, so soft. And nothing I've had was too greasy, as sometimes things like fried rice or lo mein can be. The staff are always polite and diligent, and the price for lunch is around $12 which is insane. Ironically that means it's better to come during the weekday cuz it's packed during the weekend Will go here as often as possible!

Lunch service was bad today first time since I been there in a while and a bug was crawling in my food. I couldn't even eat anymore totally lost my appetite. And they didn't even offer me back my money never going back

I paid just over $18 at this Chinese AYCE buffet. You pay upon entering, and they seat you. The buffet is huge. There is a regular buffet area, along with a dessert area. They have a large selection of Chinese and other Asian foods. They also have a small mix of Mexican and American food. I ate mostly the deep fried head-on shrimp and the char siu pork ribs. The shrimp was crispy on the outside with a nice seasoning that tasted more Cajun than Chinese. The pork ribs were on the thin side, but you could get as much as you wanted. The flavor was perfect. I tried the deep fried crab legs. The flavor was similar to the deep fried shrimp, but it was much more of a chore to eat. I also tried the bao and dumplings. They were also good. The staff is continually roaming the area to fill the trays and to make sure your soda, or water, is filled. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try other items.

First time eating at this buffet the food is fresh and so worth the price the worker are so friendly and nice

They can be identified by their crust. The Spring roll has a light, crispy crust. It is Asian. The egg roll's crust is darker, thicker and in some cases larger. They also have two types of other dishes. Chow Fun, a very thin rice noodle is available. So is Lo Mein, a soft cooked wheat noodle. The later is American. There are many varieties of chicken, and soup. They serve dumplings and have a Sushi Bar, and two dessert bars, one with fruits and the other with cake and ice cream The trays are always kept full. The food is fresh. What puzzles me is the two out of three phenomena. In this case they have enchiladas (delicious!) and rice but not beans. In other Asian buffets they serve Kielbasa with cabbage but no potatoes. Do they simply not know? I have no answer. If you want to know what is in a tray before you look at the frame, above the food tray. The content of each tray is listed on the label above it. Look up--it is high up on a little white tab. It appears that no one checks them during the day. The same paper towel that was there when we entered, was still on the same place on the floor when we left. Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. The restaurant itself is so cute and has such a charming feel, so I was hoping the food would be just as impressive. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a miss for us. The noodles were very hard in texture and unfortunately lacked flavor. The fried rice was also disappointing -- I expected the usual fried rice with some vegetables and flavor, but there weren't any veggies, and the rice itself was very hard and bland. We also tried the sweet and sour chicken, which didn't have that classic sweet, tangy flavor I was expecting. It was pretty bland, and unfortunately, the chicken tasted a little off to me, so I didn't end up eating much of it. I really wanted to love this place because the reviews are so positive and the restaurant is adorable, but based on this particular takeout experience, the food just wasn't for us. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but unfortunately, I don't think I'd be rushing back. Cute restaurant, but the food definitely missed the mark for us this time.

Unsalted potatoes , tiny pieces of bacon covered with sticky syrup, and some type of beef filet... All average and unseasoned. We sat there for almost 2 hours and the waiter never offered to change out our plates or silverware. I had sticky pancake syrup all over the place and had to use the same dirty plates the entire time. Oh and we wanted to order a birthday dessert but every selection included some type of nuts and I have a severe nut allergy. Go figure, another disappointment.
