Chinese Donut

"The Best of Phoenix & Tucson" Don & Betty Martin. Vegetable Fried Rice- Wow! I've had various fried rice from other places, this is by far the best one!!! I did not get a chance to take a photo. This one has snow peas, zucchini & broccoli. You have to know which region's style of cooking is used. Singapore Chinese? Malaysian Chinese? Indonesian Chinese? Cantonese? Etc. Chinese Donut- I was hoping to get Chinese Cruller which is what I expected when I saw Chinese Donut on the menu. What I got is a Chinese version of mini beignets. What a wonderful surprise! It's so good! Beef on a Stick- Tender beef. Love the marinated sauce used on the beef. The marinate seems unique from the marinate used for BBQ pork and Hawaiian BBQ. My guess is rock sugar you can buy at an Asian market. Overall if you want a quick simple meal, you can buy fried rice and order from the appetizer menu which will be good for 1-2 people .

Not the best. No "Cat" on the menu but as basic as it gets. A family operation and, right down to grandma and the grandchildren, everyone is super nice. Good in a pinch and the portions are a good value at $5.99 for lunch. #vinosquared #vino2ultimate

The price here is the main draw: $4.25 for lunch and $4.99 for dinner. The place itself is old but somewhat decently maintained. The seats in the booths, while clean, have become too soft with age, so choose to sit at the regular tables so you don't sink too low on your seats. The array of dishes offered is not extensive, but what they do offer are adequate for a decent meal. There are hits such as the chop suey and misses such as the sweet-sour chicken with too much batter. In all, you can get a decent but not great meal here, and the price certainly is attractive especially if you're on a very tight budget.

Stop by this place since we were staying down the block and needed some food. The place is minimal and nothing special, but what does make this special is their staff and of course their food, it is not great, but just good enough to fulfill your need of Buffet Chinese Food, they have many selections, i would have to say about 20 different offerings, i have never seen any buffet offer Egg Foo Young and that was such a great treat only because i love the dish. The staff is great, there was this young fella that made us feel welcomed and there was this female that was great too in serving us new drinks and asking if anything was alright. I think we ended up paying under $7 for the food and free refills on the drink, they also offer beer, i thought that was a added touch to their establishment. So if your near this place, and are hungry for from Chinese Food, give this place a try.

I am convinced these reviews are fake or paid for. I counted on yelp for real reviews. These people's taste buds are broken.

Come for the Peking Duck; stay for the Duck Sauce y'all!…read more China Chili is absolutely fantastic! I've ordered from them through Uber Eats and Grubhub multiple times, and I already knew I loved their orange chicken and fried rice. But when a friend suggested we actually go inside and eat there, I thought, why have I been keeping this deliciousness strictly a takeout relationship? We went on a Saturday around 3p. The restaurant is simple, casual, and no-frills. Don't come looking for romance or Instagram-worthy ambiance. This is not the place for mood lighting. You're here to EAT, and honestly, I respect that. We were seated within about 5 minutes, and our server came by shortly afterward. My friend is a regular who swears by the Peking duck with buns, so we ordered that to share. I got my Sauvi B, my friend ordered a Chinese beer, and almost immediately, delicious egg drop soup appeared. No doctoring it up, no adding a bunch of stuff. It was perfect as is. Then came the Peking duck. Beautifully presented, expertly sliced, with crispy skin and all the fixings: shredded scallions, plum sauce, duck sauce, and spicy mustard. That spicy mustard? AMAZING. So... how did I build these little masterpieces you ask? Open the bun, spread on that delicious dark plum sauce, add the duck, scallions, a little crispy skin, and a dab of spicy mustard. Close it up and proceed to mind your business because baaaay-bee... that first bite was everything! I ate approximately 7 mini duck sandwiches. SEVEN! And I regret absolutely nothing. You can also order the Peking duck with pancakes, which I plan to try on my next visit. Because yes, there WILL be a next visit. And the one after that. The service was excellent, too. Attentive without hovering, efficient without rushing us, and perfectly pleasant. Nobody was trying to become our new best friend, but nobody was rude, either. Just good, straightforward service that let us enjoy our meal. By the time we left around 4:15, the restaurant was getting busy. All kinds of people were coming in, and plenty seemed to know exactly what they wanted. You could tell this place has its regulars, and I can absolutely see why. Now, let me address something very important from the perspective of a NEWYAWKUH (yes, that's how we say it). Since moving to Arizona 3 and a half years ago, finding truly delicious duck sauce has been the bane of my existence. I know, I know. First-world problems. But if you know, YOU KNOW. China Chili has the sauces, the fixings, the flavor, and the goods. That duck sauce and spicy mustard alone deserve a standing ovation. I can't wait to return with a bigger group so I can try more of the menu. But if you're going with just one other person, the Peking duck with buns is an excellent place to start. China Chili has officially secured another repeat customer. If you haven't been, go. And if you're already a regular, I now understand your loyalty. Come hungry. Bring friends. Order the duck. And for the love of all things delicious, don't sleep on the sauces!

We got the peking duck with buns and Szechuan style green beans. The duck came with hoisin sauce…read moreand shredded green onions. They gave each of us a bowl of rice. There aren't many places in Phoenix that serve duck this neatly like in my photo, and I appreciate that it's not another chain restaurant. Is it the best version of this dish I've ever had, no...but it can be a nice change from the usual options of beef, pork, shrimp, and chicken.

It looks surprisingly small compared to how big the place is inside. The restaurant is decorated with lots of red, lanterns, and even a giant fortune cookie. The food is a mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, but it's definitely more Americanized Asian food. We ordered from their Lunch Combo Special. My friend got the Chili Garlic Fried Chicken and the Seafood Jjampong without shrimp because she's allergic to it. I got the Chili Garlic Shrimp with fried rice. When our server found out it was my friend's birthday, she told us we could choose a complimentary dessert from the menu, which was so nice! My friend picked the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The lunch combos were huge. My friend was already so full after eating the jjampong that she had to take the chicken home. I really liked my shrimp and fried rice. They were so tasty that I finished everything! We also really enjoyed the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The refreshing lemon sorbet paired perfectly with the sweet, warm glazed sweet potato. I try, I review, and I might come back again to try something else.

Went late after a game. There was only one other table in the restaurant…read more We had been in 112° heat all day and were really thirsty. The water glasses looked like what you'd make a tequila sunrise in (tall & skinny). Obviously with ice that type of glass doesn't hold very much water. Getting a refill and we needed several, was worse than pulling teeth. We had the bartender as the only employee left working. One time I had to ask four times for a refill. We also ordered beer and a whisky drink so we weren't cheap. The food was pretty good. The ticket time on my entree was about 10 minutes but the other two at our table didn't get their food for almost half an hour. No consistency. I may try this place again much earlier in the night.

We came here for dinner because one of my friends said that they are one of the restaurants that…read moresources their noodles from local house-made noodle vendor Samuel Hom from Phoenix Produce Co. Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.
