I can't say much about this place beyond saying, not even the salad is vegan unless you take things out of it, including the croutons and change the dressing to simple oil and vinegar. I guess if you want a plain baked potato, you could make it a dinner. Even calling the restaurant and talking to someone to see if there was anything they could make for us since it was two of us who wanted to take our adult children to a place that they used to enjoy... nothing helped the person taking the call wouldn't even ask for us and was rude. I've been to seafood restaurants that will accommodate vegans... This is just a dirty restaurant anyways even the bathrooms were dirty and there was definitely no ambience worth noting unless you like dirt on the windowsills at dead flies on them as well. First of all Misty, who was our waitress did an outstanding job. My wife had appetizers that her meal, the stuffed mushrooms and the coconut shrimp. Myself I had the lobster duo with mashed potatoes. We both shared a cup of the New England clam charter, which we always enjoy. Everything was very good. The only thing I wish is that red lobster would bring back the seafood stuffing for their lobsters and the flounder which they used to have. Red Lobster Tucson I hate to sound surprised that we enjoyed Red Lobster in Tucson on Oracle Rd as much as we did, but we don't normally eat either at Red Lobster specifically or at similar restaurants in the Red Lobster category (to me), so we weren't expecting it to be as great as it turned out to be! First of all, the service was just great. And I am attentive to and critical of service when there are indeed service issues. Our server was Ashley and she did just an outstanding job. Every detail was attended to, and pleasantly and cheerfully. She was easy to work with and really added to the positive dining experiience. Let's put it this way - we've had much worse service at restaurants in the fine dining category. Ashley was all over sides, menu information, drinks, checking on us, it was all just smooth and easy and pleasant. Now, the food. It was great. I take no issue whatsoever with food quality, taste, or presentation. I had the lobster tail with 12 oz sirloin - both were great. Portion size was really excellent, too. I felt it was a great value, given how good it was. Steak was juicy and flavorful, cooked exactly to temperature requested (medium well in my case); lobster tail was easy to remove from the shell, and buttery and delicious (yes the butter sauce is a nice accompaniment, as are the light, fluffy cheddar biscuits (YUM!!)). Baked potato was even really good, with the salted exterior and all that. And the appetizer was great, too - we had the bacon-wrapped scallops. Sizable scallops, tender and tasty, and nice smoky bacon wrapped around them. They were good! Wine selection was good, too, value there wasn't bad, and as I mentioned, the value overall to me was great! Red Lobster is so iconic. This place looks the same as it always has. It's dark, the ceiling looks like they used to allow smokers there. The service is okay but if you have to deal with the manager, be ready to be disappointed. The salads are still delicious, the biscuits are still delicious but now there's a limit on how many refills you can get before you need to start paying (fair, but sad). They no longer offer the create your own plate option where you'd get to pick 2 or 3 things and make a meal of it for yourself. As I think about it, I think there are just a lot fewer options than there used to be there. Not as many things you can add on, and a smaller menu. There was no fresh fish choice when we went. Finally, I love crab legs. I get two pounds when ... well I used to, they no longer offer the add a pound option, on the menu, but sometimes the crab here seems old. Instead of sliding out of the shell in delicious pieces they are stuck to the inside of the shell and taste, old. I'm not sure what causes this but with other crab options in town, it's hard to say that Red Lobster is the best place for crab. read more

I expected a Maine lobster tail. What arrived instead looked like it had survived a long negotiation with a microwave and lost. The tail was split open and presented in a way best described as medically deflated--pale, shrunken, and slumped in its shell like it had given up halfway through cooking. The meat had the texture of reheated rubber erasers and the visual appeal of something you'd expect to see in a cautionary poster about overcooking seafood. No char, no sheen, no bounce--just limp, lifeless protein quietly asking to be put out of its misery. Butter was served on the side, presumably as a morale booster. At this price point, presentation should inspire confidence. This inspired questions. Was it frozen? Pre-cooked? Reheated? Forgotten on the line? Whatever the case, it had none of the richness, sweetness, or structure that justifies au up charge. I've seen better lobster execution in airport lounges. If this is what passes for a premium Maine lobster tail, I'd hate to see the budget option. read more

Came here cause it was the only place open on Christmas. Didn't have a reservation but my husband and I got right in, hostess was super nice. Our waitress MISTY was AWESOME!! Made sure our drinks were always full, always checked on us, she was just the best. Was also my first to me ever at a red lobster and she made my experience very comfortable. Two in our party had Walt's Shrimp. Although the portion is a bit smaller than it used to be (10 instead of 12 shrimp), the shrimp were of good size and tasted good. Another had the Garlic Shrimp Scampi and said it wasn't overly garlicy and the butter sauce was delicious. I had Lobster Flat Bread and it didn't seem to have the same favor as I remembered. However, it was baked well, crust was just right, and the toppings were satisfactory. Biscuits were a great hit as always. Service was great. Our waitress, Misty, was friendly and yet professional, checked with us multiple times to see if we needed anything, and cleaned the table as each of us finished our meal. Atmosphere is spot on to the usual Red Lobsters , clean environment, courteous staff, and its sea food (so that in itself is a plus). Plenty of parking and very convenient within walking distance of the Automall, shopping Tucson Mall, and other area businesses to venture off to. We were in for a large party yesterday, and I haven't been to a red lobster in almost 8 years (tbh I remembered not being too impressed last time) but the birthday girl picked here. We normally have a difficult group. I am a server/bartender/restaurant manager so I always feel bad when we go out in our large family group as we can be a lot for the average server. but when I tell you this was the first positive group outing we've had at a restaurant, this is why I had to leave a review. From walking in I was greeted by several hosts. A lady in a walker walked me to the party table and was so pleasant! She came back later several times to chat with us and I saw her chatting with other patrons throughout the night as well. Our server was a hero to service standards world wide lol She never messed up an order, never missed an opportunity for appetizers, drink refills, never forgot a condiment, never messed up our checks even though we all came in at different times, moved seats, and picked up other people's tabs (I know I know we are the worst lol) and was so sweet! She accommodated two of our guest who sent their drinks back due to not liking them and didn't make them feel bad. All while running around with other tables. Our food came out delicious and quick! It's a dinky potato with maybe 1/4 cup of topping is not worth that price, and it doesn't say what the price is on the menu, just +6.99 When I questioned this the waitress got a little miffed and I asked to speak to a manager about the price. The manager said he hates the way the menu is printed, but he will make it right. When we handed to new bill to the waitress, her attitude was a 180° difference! She was obviously not happy. Went because grandkids gave us a gift card for our 46th year wedding anniversary. Liked the ambiance and at the hour and night we attended it was quiet. Those were the positives. Came here for Crab Fest. Very disappointed because of the lack of choices. So, I ended up getting just the Garlic Crab linguini alfredo (which wasn't one of the options mind u) Server, Aria, was just ok. She kept walkin away when we were still trying to ask her for things. She completely forgot to bring out our clam chowder, so, to try & make up for it, she upgraded us to the bowl for free. Clam chowder was bland so we had to add some salt. After salt it was better. My linguini was very tasty. My husband had the cajun chicken alfredo which hardly had any sauce on it. So, he asked for a bit more. What she brought out was NOT cajun sauce at all! Tasted like potato soup! She said they don't have potato soup, so who knows what it was! He helped walk us through the menu, introducing popular items, favorites, and other recommendations. He even kept an eye and made sure our drinks were full and we were enjoying everything. Food we ordered was essentially bland due to the lack of seasoning. Salt and pepper was on the table, but sugar or sweetener was not. We ordered a lobster tail-fries and slaw and a flounder dinner. The fish was served without seasoning and was bland. The food was served at temperature-no complaint there. The server was polite and nice. I thought she was new at the job, and additional training would be helpful. Red Lobster is not what it used to be, I guess the Covid crisis has changed their culture. I went here today, mid afternoon for lunch. It wasn't very busy, so we were able to be seated right away and our server was able to give us alot of attention. For a starter, we had the mozzarella sticks. They weren't really cooked long enough and I would describe them as a little scrawny. They tasted pretty good though. I have a side salad that was pretty decent. Then some coconut shrimp that were good. Then the wagyu burger. It was pretty good meat and everything, but the bun wasn't very good and the lettuce was cut up as if they used the same lettuce they use for the salads. I would say all in all, it was pretty good, in part because I shouldn't expect a 5 star burger from a seafood restaurant. I had the worst meal at Red Lobster on Oracle the other day. The Lobster Roll was a major disappointment. The picture they show is extremely deceiving. The lobster was shredded in tiny pieces. There wasn't a single bite size piece on the entire roll. I ended up scraping it off in the provided butter and eating it with the French fries. I was still hungry afterwards. What a waste of money. I enjoy going to Red Lobster. You gets lots of good food for a decent price. On my most recent visit I got the half order of salmon. I like it wood fired and with the soy ginger glaze. I also enjoy the rice pilaf and mashed potatoes. And the salads are decent, and I do like their honey mustard dressing. Of course, you can't forget about the cheddar bay biscuits. So good! I also tried a Boston iced tea in raspberry and really enjoyed it. All in all, the food was great, but our service could have been a little better. We got our salads the same time as our drinks and we got our first order of biscuits after we ate the salads. Kind of an odd order. Additionally, the place was swarming with kids. Not my favorite, and also kind of irritating since our server really gave a lot more attention to the table next to us--parents with 3 little ones--bringing them their second or third round of biscuits before we had our first order. The Red Lobster on Oracle is one of my favorite places to eat. The wait staff is very friendly and the food is good and consistent and reasonably priced. I usually get the fried clam strips and the coconut shrimp cooked a little more than normal and my husband usually gets the shrimp Alfredo or the salmon . They have cold drinks and their bar is pretty much stocked with the favorite alcohols. They also have seasonal drinks, and this is one of my favorites. It has edible glitter in it, and cranberries!! Because of issues with our government they are not able to get the king crab legs, yet, but they do have the regular crab legs back. As for the reviews on takeout being wrong, Look If you hire DoorDash or any service to your food you can't check it so what ever you get, you get so dont blame Red Lobster because you order at your own risk I would much rather be there to modify or order something else and you can make sure you get everything you ordered and then you get to experience the friendly wait staff. We use to love to go for the seafood lunch specials. Boy were we disappointed. Not only are they gone but the prices have increased a lot. The garlic shrimp didn't taste that fresh and a lot of items that use to be included with your meal are now add ons. We got more food than we wanted as they didn't have lunch specials anymore. It had been about 10 months since we had been there and we were so disappointed we will probably look else where. If they want our business back they're going to have to bring back the lunch specials! 2/2/2024 We took the chance after Red Lobster sent us gift card to try it again. We are very glad we did! Luckily the lunch special menu is back! Much better portions for us seniors. Plus the food was much better, more fresh and tasty.
