I have eaten at Red Lobster ever since I was little. The cheddar biscuits still SO good! I had a grilled trout and baked potato. The side salad is just like you have anywhere. The trout was good. Many many years ago, I thought of Red Lobster as a special dining-out experience. A gift card brought us back to Red Lobster for the first time in at least a decade, maybe longer. I found that pricing still was date-night worthy. Entrees starting at $17, but the ambiance definitely was lacking. We entered the restaurant during a slow time and were shown to what had to be the worst table in the restaurant - back corner, next to the bathrooms and the kitchen (see my photos). The restaurant was untidy. Not overly dirty, but not clean either. I found the menu difficult to navigate. Do entrees have sides? You'll only find out if you flip to the back of the menu and read at the bottom of the page. There's no indication of what is the "standard" side is, so you discover this when you order. The biscuits are delicious. DELICIOUS, particularly when warm from the oven. My wood-fired trout was tasty, but slightly overcooked. I'd say a minute too long - it was dry rather than tender and flaky. The same was true for my broccoli side. Slightly overcooked and dry instead of tender and bursting with flavor. My husband's salmon was the same. Slightly overcooked ... the difference between knowing how to cook and following a recipe step by step. All in all, it was an ok meal but not the best. The mood of the restaurant was definitely not the best and I really didn't like sitting with dirty dishes on the table instead of being cleared after we finished salads and bread. We returned after having a bad experience with runners on our last visit. They seem to have stopped using runners so service was much better and the waitstaff was actually very attentive. However they only have one keto friendly side without paying a surcharge- broccoli. Well they had no broccoli so three of us paid extra for a healthier side. Date night with the Mrs. We started driving down from Frisco because of a few disappointing visits at the Frisco location. Baby has to have her crab legs but tonight they tasted salty. Our server, Summer, alerted the manager on duty and Hank quickly swung by the table. He agreed it was weird the crab legs were salty and he came back from the kitchen and verified that someone had indeed seasoned the water. Summer and Hank put in a replacement order since they wouldn't be able to prepare new crab legs in time. It's nice to go to a place where the server and manager communicate well and seek to get things straightened out quickly. Staff was happy and polite, restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. Haven't been to a red lobster in forever but was craving the cheddar bay biscuits. Our server was very attentive and I'm sure we were a little needy eating the biscuit refills so fast. We got the cheddar bay platter to share plenty for two people. The Brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp were our personal favorites out of what we got. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It didn't seem overy busy but we had a 15 minute wait. It was expected so not a big deal. When we were seated, I think we were sat in a section with a new waiter. The whole section was a mess. We could hear what was going on at the tables around us. I wasn't trying to eaves drop but the tables are so close that it was hard not to over hear. The booth right behind us had a long wait for food. The table beside us had their drinks and food order messed up. The table beside them had their drink order messed up (waiter brought them the wrong wine, I think they ordered a bottle of white wine and were brought a bottle of red). When the waiter brought them the wrong (opened) bottle they told him they didn't want that so he walked up to the host stand and said loudly "you need to help me with that table, they're complaining about everything". I think I heard him say, "I'm doing my best" no less than 5 times to customers. It was kind of awkward. He was obviously not well trained and was overwhelmed. I felt bad for him. After we were seated, he walked by our table at least 3 times and didn't even acknowledge us. The hostess had to come take our drink order. The waiter came by later to take our food order. When our food came out, it was cold. I didn't complain, he had too much going on. When we were ready for our check, he disappeared. During that time, another table was sat in his section and probably waited a good 10-15 minutes before he showed up to take their drink order. I think they're short staffed and are just hiring anyone who needs a job. That's not the problem, if someone wants to work, great! But I think management needs to put in the time and effort (and training) to help the ones that are still there and stuck around. In the end, the wait staff suffers because they're the "face" of the restaurant. When two of the tables left, they both stopped at the table behind us and we're apologizing to each other for their bad experiences. The manager only came by the table who got the wrong wine to apologize for the mix up. He obviously had no concerns about what was going on in the dining room. Oh, also a hostess was tipped $20 by a customer for taking a reservation for them earlier that day. A very generous and kind gesture by the customer. Another hostess that saw it happen says to the one that received the tip, "I've been here 5 months and I never received a tip. You've been here 3 days and you get a $20 tip! I don't think you can keep it though." A waiter in the conversation with them says "Yeah, I think you can get in trouble for taking that tip. I've heard that somewhere." So they said to go ask the manager and they all 3 head for the back. What a bizarre dining experience. read more

Today my husband and i wanted some great Fish & Shrimp and have always love Red Lobster, but today was the worst i have ever experienced with them for Food and Service. I understand several of the RED LOBSTER'S are closing and this should be one of them. We went in around 2:30pm and there was only two waitresses, manager or assistantant manager that i could see except for the bar tender. Usually you get your drinks and salad really early when you order, the waitress was new and advises us this was her second day of work here and was pleasant but had a hard of hearing us at times. She takes our order, then leaves us for a quite a while, then when she finally makes it back to our table after about 20 min or more, she was advised by me that we have not even received our salads and this was most uncommon, she appologized and said she had several other tables to assist, i could only see one other table she was working and there was only 1 person at tha table, then we see her go back to kitchen and again we waited quite a while for the salads. Again much later after we finished our salad she brought us our food which i ordered Fish, Mashed Potoes (Loaded) and asked if i could order a side of Shrimp, my husband ordered the Admiral's feast; His plate delivered very small helpings, and mine came with 6 pieces of Fish, and only 5 shrimp (which i was told, when i asked 7 pieces of Shrimp). The fish tasted just like Talipa and not the Fried Flouder as i requested. I know the difference and it was down right awful and i advised the waitress and the manager who was at the time doing a job interview with someone. I expressed my complant and there was no adjustment to my meal and one applogy. I know right now WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. I paid $80.00 dollars for absolutely nothing. Husband & I have not eaten inside a restaurant since Covid 19. We had a lobster bisque craving & decided to carefully dine inside for the first time in almost 1.5 years! We decided to minimize risk of exposure by going early on a Sunday, 4pm, knowing it wouldn't be crowded. Austin was hosting (his youth & inexperience assisting customers was apparent) & the restaurant had few diners, as we hoped. Austin, the thoughtless, led us to a table right next to a family, inside an almost empty restaurant. I expressed my concern regarding Covid and asked him to seat us further from other customers because we are high risk. He matter of factly said they didn't have many servers working & left us at that table. Our friendly server came & had no problem allowing us to sit at another table nearby. We ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, hoping it would be as tasteful as we had a week earlier at Cousin's Maine Lobster Truck in Wylie. It was so salty, I couldn't eat it, with no luscious chunks of lobster meat as Cousin's. Lobster bisque was a totally disappointment. We ordered our favorite lobster pizza, which had the expected chunks of meat, but the crust was soggy/not crisp as expected. But taste was good, other than crust. Husband had blackened salmon- said it was good. I had lobster alfredo, another long time favorite- the price has skyrocketed to $25, but it was good & we took home leftovers. For the first time ever, our server didn't offer to bring Cheddar Bay biscuits for us to take home. Another slight disappointment. If you have Covid concerns, this location has some risk. However, we had a bad to go experience last Saturday (4/23/2022) and facing their mistakes, the manager was extremely rude to me. We ordered curbside pick up of four entrees and a lobster pizza to celebrate my hubby's birthday last Saturday(4/23). When we were back home, we found both orders of ultimate feast were missing with lobster tails and snow crab legs. That means we only got fries, broccoli and shrimps. There was no response and I can hear the restaurant was very loud. So I said again with a higher volume and added more words that it was main courses were missing. That manager then said:" what's your order? "(Not like the first man who asked for my name on my order directly) so I asked: "do you need my name or the order number?" The manager suddenly shouted at me and said: "I need the name of your order! The name of your order! The name of your order!" Louder and louder each time. I still gave him my name. He asked me to hold. I heard he was then talking to another staff. It seemed that someone gave my food to others. He said to his staff that he got the customer(me) on the phone extremely mad! (Excuse me?) Then he said his sorry to his staff?! Not me?! He then talked to me on the phone that he will give me a refund. He did not even give me an option to cook my food again. I asked and he said rudely:"OR you still want to come over now to pick up your food?" All my celebration mood was ruined so I chose the refund. Always a nice place to go for a nice sit down meal that is casual and laid back. Every time I go with friends/family I always seem to get the most attentive servers. They make sure my glass is always full. For me that's a huge plus since I'm obsessed with NOT having an empty glass when I am dining. I love the unlimited biscuits they bring to the table. Started out with the Caesar salad and clam chowder soup. They drowned the salad in dressing. It was a bit too much! The chowder was yummy. The rest of the meal was pretty good. The Alfredo shrimp and my shrimp skewer was a nice pick. We finished the meal with a brownie and ice cream. The meal was ok, nothing memorable. First of all, putting your name on the list online doesn't get you very far in line because they won't count you there until you check in at the restaurant. We were told 10 min when we put our name on the list online when we were parking the car. We went inside and checked in and they said it would be 8 min. After waiting OVER 30 MINUTES, we were finally seated, at a table right next to the hostess stand. So first off, we had to endure the guy at the hostess stand shouting over us to the workers which table was to be seated next. He had an earpiece with a wire, so we assumed he should have been communicating with that instead of yelling. It was quite disruptive and quite unprofessional. Second, sitting right close to where people are waiting to be seated was a little uncomfortable, as they watched us eat. Wessen was our server. OUTSTANDING is the best way to describe him. He anticipated our every need, including drink refills and extra sauce for my coconut shrimp. He was very attentive and personable. The food was excellent, from the garlic cheddar biscuits to the lobster bisque to the coconut shrimp. The only exception was my husband's clam chowder. It was thin and bland. The best deal we found was the 4 course meal, served Sunday-Thursday, $16.99. It includes soup, salad, biscuits, main course and dessert. Last time I was here, it was completely dead, complete lack of business. The service was absolutely atrocious having attitudes and waited 25 minutes for a drink. And waited hours for the food while mind you no one was in the place, seen our waiter on her phone just walking around doing absolutely nothing. Refusing to help us. Cold food when it arrived.
